The Salamander projector stand is the one he is talking about without saying the name, costs about $4,000, and weighs about 300 lbs. I have owned the salamander rack stand for about 17 years it still looks brand-new and modern and is one of the most well-made products I’ve ever bought. Though they are very expensive…
I agree about the power conditioner I’m my apartment when I turn out the bathroom lights my subs pop so gotta get one and see if that fixes it can’t wait to see the video bro been a long time glad to see your doing good and back at it with the videos
It would be very difficult to do screen masks with one of these short throws. That's a deal breaker for me. No chance I'm sitting down for a movie with the lights off, and have to see grey bars the whole time.
As a LSP9T owner, I wish I knew about the rainbow effect, especially on text/subtitles and high contrast artifacts. It's very apparent if you sit closer to screen, and your eyes are tracking action. Otherwise, brilliant image and decent functionality. Thanks for your review. :)
@@klokskap_ Great question! Honestly, this seems to be a common laser UST thing, so with the current technology, probably not. Samsung's app integration & ecosystem is the closest thing to an Apple experience, if you have an android (or Samsung, in my case) smartphone. And I'm not sure if it's a product of my eyes adjusting or recent firmware upgrades, but the effect has lessened considerably. It's definitely still there, but I'm noticing it less.
Thank you for a very nice review! Regarding the sound, you said "at the same time" and I just wonder if you can listen to the projector's built in sound (as a center) at the same time as you send the audio signal to your surround system? It would be nice to not have to put a sound bar or a separate speaker in front of (or under) the projector.
I'm pretty sure you'll need a separate signal manager. I wanted to run the projector as a center, with dedicated LR rear surround, but unfortunately it looks like a soundbar to route the sources. Probably going to go either Sonos or Vizio M 5.1 for that, with what I've researched online. :) EDIT: I could be wrong about this, so I'll also standby for any other input.
I bought the LSP7 and Black Diamond screen its not working out - meaning i am getting Black image pictures is not clear. Without screen perfect video. Now i confused which screen i need to buy. Can i go ahead buy VAVA ALR screen? Please advise. i have three windows and its not a proper media room. Please suggest me good and suitable screen for Samsung Projector
Hi sir I have marantz avr sr6013 and I have two options available for speakers package.polk audio signature series s35,s20,S10 and definitive technology 1000, center 2000 ,plz recommend in this best for my avr ....? Thanks
Welcome back, and amazing content my man. I would say... that using this outside on a sheet or temporary blowing/morphing screen is a definite no. The image is going to be horrible. A longer distance projector is the best way for temp screens.
As too screens, he’s correct, any screen is better then your wall. Shining a light on your wall will show you every imperfection in your wall and even in a new house you will see a lot of imperfections. A better screen is usually worth putting money into as you’ll keep your screen for a much longer time than you will your projector. A good Stewart screen will last 20+ years. A projector, even a 4K laser one won’t last forever and new technology is always coming out. Where as screen technology really doesn’t change much,
The "Red's" out of the box are oversaturated as he says, they can be adjusted and you should turn them down. Not sure why Samsung has the Red's so saturated to begin with.
I use youtube on Apple TV and a Sony Playstation 4 pro and from a PC on my benQ laser projector and like you say the colours are so saturated so I think it's a TH-cam calibration problem not from the Samsung projector.
the one thing none of these reviewers really discuss in more detail is how low the projector really needs to be seated. I Own the Samsung premier 9 series. I have a very nice TV stand which is around 21 inches high. When we place the projector on top of the TV stand the picture is touching the ceiling, and the projector does not have a digital setting that allows one to make lower the picture without lowering the projector in height. So ideally in my case I would want the projector around 8 inches off the ground which is rather difficult as there is no TV stand on the market that is that low. So I’m looking at an cheap IKEA stand and will use just the bottom half of it kind making my own stand.
Bought this and projected on a perfect white wall, room is totally dark, really disappointed on the quality of the picture, blacks are awful, no detail at all. Going back to a tv
Indeed, this LSP9T 4K UST projector doesn't have a color wheel but 3 RGB lasers. The cheaper LSP7 uses a colorwheel. You can ask your self how good they inform themselves if they talk about stuff they don't know.

Do you know of any way to reset Focus on LSP9T without having to do a full reset of the whole projector?
Great review, champion!
Thanks king
great vids thanks... do you know who to get developer mode for the premier projector
If you move it further from the wall, is the image getting larger?
Hey man, outstanding review, real world use and professionalism. Well done!

Great input! Do you think you would have chosen another projector today if you were in the market for one?

How are the black levels mate?
@@abu1950 I think they're fine, or at least I don't think about it when watching content. Try and see one for yourself first, if you decide to buy.
I have never seen any rainbow effect ,also it does not have colour wheel which makes rainbow effect ,it must be differant for every individual
what is your preferred screen match
im really digging the Spectra screen right now. I have 3 total in my house and prefer that one the most
great review. Is it possible to place the soundbar on the wall under the screen instead of in front of the projector? Thanks - Steve
in some cases yes. as a blanked statement i would say it depends on the projector used and the soundbar thickness.
What if you have a totally light controlled room?
Do you still need a special UST screen?
Cannot find a 130 inch UST screen.
you can do a fresnel type or lenticular. if you use a white screen your image will bounce of and angle of incidence and reflect onto your ceiling.
Not native 4k? There's a color wheel? Even with a 3 laser setup? Are you sure?
What screen do you have, you have a link?
You still using your Absolute cinema black 2.0 at the crib?
Nope. Gilbert makes great screens though.
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude which one are you using now?

no. its not made to work that way. its possible to make sound but the redundant audio would not make it worth it
What's the lifetime usage, and how long does it last?
20k hours? Thats like 15 years
What are your thoughts for a screen to use with this projector if my LCR speakers are going to be behind the screen.
i wouldnt. there are AT screens that allow for it though
how is the black level and contrast level? much better than the Viva? but doesn't hold a candle to LED or OLED TVs?
Welcome back. It’s been a while. I Can’t wait to see more contents. Your setup was amazing them SvS pb16 ultra are another level. 👍🏽
What brand of the screen do u use for this projector
Sapphire alr screen 100 inch it's like having a TV

are you talking about the SI ultra short throw screen or the original black diamond?
Had A silver ticket for 3 years now and its fantastic.

Best short throw you’ve reviewed?
Anyone know what the best screen to get for this LSP9T?
Is there any manufacturer offering Fresnel lens ALR screen in the market?
Most do
Nice review. What is the status on the Bat Cave?
Batcave been done for 6 months. We actually already moved into our new home. Last house was a rental. Video coming soon
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude Did you stick with the SVS or go with Atlantic Technology? Or are you going to make us wait for the video?
gotta wait my man. its going to be BIG

you mention COD, so what's the input lag on that unit?
I loved the UST.

What is the screen size
Awesome review. I'm gonna fenagel myself a projector!
It has laser sparkles from the lasers and and rainbow effects

uh, where is the Samsung LSP9T 4K UST Laser Projector review??????????

yeah spacing is critical. good point
Earc?
It's a cracking projector
👀 Why do a video if you’re not going to show the product at it’s best? It would have been better to see it properly calibrated on a quality screen.
its a projection tv of today
Wouldn't call this in-depth..
Phew…we were worried he got the Rona
Nope no Rona. Just a very long vacation. I’ve. Been recording for the last 6 months. The vids will start to come out shortly
That’s great to hear! Glad to have you back.
"Super In depth review" - didn't bother to even align the projection to the screen, or tune the settings.
whats your prob?
Bought this and projected on a perfect white wall, room is totally dark, really disappointed on the quality of the picture, blacks are awful, no detail at all. Going back to a tv
Maybe because you are using a wall. Did you think of that?
@@ThatHomeTheaterDude yes of course. Tried with a screen and was still rubbish. Oled is million times better for picture quality
Uh no. It decidedly does not have a color wheel…it has three lasers, one for each color.
