- In this episode, come shop with me as we stumble across a NEW Salvation Army thrift store that I have never shopped at until now! We found some really good finds but it wasn't until we got to the Clarkston Salvation Army that we found HUGE finds! This is becoming one of my favorite stores!!! So, if you're ready for a shopping adventure then let's do this!!!!

Snowflakes aren't just Christmas...'Winter Wonderland' (with skis or an old sled) can take you all the way to the end of January. They would be great hanging in the window

Kelly, You find such wonderful items for resale, I 0nly wished I lived closer. I simply cannot believe how many thrift stores are within your vicinity. In Eugen, Oregon we only have 3 and they have the highest prices and junk.!!!!

I love watching your videos. You really have a great eye for such nice items, you know your target market, and your price range. You usually have such a great vision with what you want to create. And you buy. I watch other resellers who might have a booth, and think too much and hardly buy anything.
One must be decisive. And fill a store not make it so difficult to find something. People remember a good store that always has a new and great selection.
I also love to hear your thought process when you decide to buy something or not and the reasons.
I agree. Rhe HOME ketters loiked great but cost too much per letter. And where would one put such large letters? One would need space which narrows down the potential buyer to someone who had a large bidget with alot of space.

I have Debbie Mum mugs. Her things were always so pretty. She was at Tuesday Morning all the time…no longer. You missed a He Is Risen Sign that was so pretty for Easter. The lamp looked like it had a sticker that said 2/$14.99. Hope you got the half price.
Oh gosh!! I love lamps with bird's or rabbits!! I would have bought that lamp in a heart beat! Those stores had great items you found. I absolutely remember Debbie Mumm! Love her art and decor.. I bought 2 Christmas mug's one for my beloved Mom and me.. she loved ducks so hers had ducks with santa and mine had rabbits. I still have those..😢 Yes I've wondered about her too. You are so right about the standing HOME sign. A perfect example of someone taking it beyond distressed, to tortured. Lol .... Love the framed "kitchen" on chicken wire and that unpainted wood "Eat" signage the most. : ) Really enjoying your vids, narrations and how you take okay, otherwise ordinary objects, and infuse them with your unique personal touch. Sometimes it's simply by your placement or grouping of the items that give them life, the end result always bringing a smile to my face. Thank You. Debbie definitely could have her own channel, however, she doesn't have any social media whatsoever. As a matter of fact, she doesn't even go on the internet at all, so although she'd be great having a channel...I don't think this is something she'd really be interested in doing. I'm just happy she let's me film her and her beautiful house to share with all of you!!!

Did you get 2 lamps? The sticker was 2 for $14.99(?) great haul! Next to that cookie jar were cute red handled glass canisters that I LOVED! Hugs to Momma!!!!! 💜 and ALL of you of course, but Momma gets an extra ❤
No...it was for two pieces...the shade and the lamp itself. Believe me....I looked high and low to see if there was another lamp but nope...the two pieces were the shade and lamp itself. DARN!!! You know I would have swooped that second lamp up so fast!!! HEE HEE. I will tell my mom....you're sending her hugs...extra hugs...she'll love it!!! 🥰❤️

I LOVE those lamps so much! It said 2/14.99, were there two? That 2nd place had some super good stuff! Oh man I loved those buffalo check pillows and bird cages draw me in. I have a scale clock too. The flying pig was a no brainer, so cute!

Thrift stores do not launder anything. I wash or dry clean everything that is made of fabric including pillows.

I would have painted the calendar in Chritmas colors, decorated it with Christmas greenery and glued the date to December 25; of course the beard would be white

Pick things up at the garage sales & thrift stores....and start to sell them on Facebook Marketplace. That's how I started. You can really make a good profit on furniture especially! I sold many pieces on there!!! You can do it!!! XOXO

I’m curious because I’m new to shopping vintage and used for my home. What’s the best way to search for the large outdoor market/antique places that y’all come across? My searches only seem to find our towns normal flea market set ups.
On the Halloween Cat...maybe you can rewrap them with yarn to get a higher end look?

Yes, I did! When I brought it up to the front and told them...."I don't even need the flowers in this but how much would it be...I'm not seeing a price?" She pulled the flowers out and then walked it over to the manager and then the manager looked at and said $4.99. I said, "I'll take it!"
When giving address you need to say the state too. Love your finds!
Do you remove labels b4 younput out in your shop??
We try to get all the labels off before we put things out. Just getting those labels off is enough work in itself! LOL. We use a razor blade...some alcohol...and even a piece of sand paper if it's a wooden item.

We tried something new last month called WHATNOT. Truly though...I feel like we do much better when we do our 5:00 PM sale on the website. A lot of the people who watch our show...don't know how to how to use the app WHATNOT....heck...we even had trouble using the app! I'm surprised you ever find a deal at the Utica store. I've given up going there because they are so grossly overpriced.
I do understand as a reseller you have to think ahead and you already have plenty of Christmas stuff to sell , been in retailing myself and it became normal to start put things on sale even befor Christmas was there and think ahead of the upcoming Easter and such but as a customer i always felt i was rushed through the seasons and i didn't like it , this time should be about the Christmas season ,not about Easter or Valentine buys ,but i do understand you buy things in like that BUT lol i would like to see more Christmas diy's at this time of year .
I wonder if you pulled the tinsel off of your black cats and wrapped them in a chunky black yarn you might have better luck selling them next October??

Wish i had a friend like Debbie ..interested in same interests & creativity....i could put my talent to use & $$ !!i didn't d ABOUT 15;z,yrs ago open the cutest boutique ( i thought) it was very small but thats good not too much investment at first ) i asked a good friend to ho i with me ...we were oped 4 years i poured my whole heart & time & $$ into it ...maybe one new customer a day or week but kept it up ...she ened up RUINING it for us both she didn't quit her job..& never ran the Shop except one time in four years ...i ran it, merchandised it, did all displays, tagged all merchandise, gift wrapped , cleaned and did window....we are still friends i have forgiven Her as we are supposed to do ...but it makes me so sad ....oh well lessons learned....we just go on ...

On the home letters, what I would have done I think I've given you this before.I think I've watched you before and gave you a an idea on this.Take it to the front and tell him one is a dollar or $2 and something the others are higher.Could you give a mall to me for that cheaper price?And most of the time they will do that especially when they say you have a basketball stop

I know they're still selling (in my area too) "Signage" i.e "Eat" "Kitchen " "Welcome Spring" etc I am just personally really over it. It's such a waste and downgrades our space. We all work so hard to make our homes classic and lovely then we clutter them up with signs and word nonsense as though people wouldn't know they were in the kitchen or as though they didn't know what season it was. Just my opinion no offense meant in any way. If you love it, do it up. I just think many people are growing tired of the signage trend because our thrift stores are drowning in it.
I think most are over them that why we are seeing more and more of it at thrift stores and on marketplace for sale. I wouldn’t be picking it up. Same goes for Ray Dunn pieces
