What are your thoughts on alternatives such as serialization via Substack &/or Medium?
It varies wildly, honestly. I've had a few clients do great on Kindle Vella. Others... not so much. Honestly, I think Substack is better for platform building vs. earning. Medium has the better system for fiction in that readers purchase credits and they pay per article/chapter, vs paying a monthly fee for each publication.
@nonsensefreeeditor interesting. I've been noodling how to drive traffic towards my Substack for eventual monetization, perhaps I'm looking at it wrong. I'll have to look into Medium a bit more.
