Thank you for having us Josephine! We love The Pointe Shop!💜🩰
Oh gawsh, the first pair is just the embodiment of a perfect pointe shoe. This shoe is what I always imagined as a little girl for pointes to look like. Picture perfect 😍
To be honest, I don’t really know a whole lot about ballet, but love it to bits, and wished I could have been a prima ballerina. But knowing that
1- a ballet competition was founded by a woman
2- seems like the sweetest woman ever
Makes my heart happy. I’d absolutely love to see a video where she shows off her old ballet shoes, talks about her career, talks about her favorite dances she was in, and maybe even attempt one of her favorite dances again
Yes! We want to see Larissa's Russian pointe shoes!! I was lucky enough to watch two classes at the Vaganova Academy in 1988 when it was still the Soviet Union. I had a private tour of the Museum at the Academy and saw the Kirov Ballet perform Giselle. The whole experience will always be a highlight of my life.
THAT WAS INSANE!!! I’m 63 and I can still go en pointe but I don’t think I look THAT Good! (and I’m talking about with my old pointe shoes, not attempting to buy new ones and actually Dance.) lol STUNNING !
Absolutely love this, her reaction to trying on the pointe shoes were priceless ❤️💜❤️💜
Her feet are so beautiful!! They were especially gorgeous in the first pair. Love this channel and how you show that just a little change can make such a huge difference! Go Josephine!
oh my god, the first pair looks like a DREAM on her 🤩 shoe/feet goals for sure haha
I love that she's describing how point shoes used to be worse but instead of saying "oh young people have no idea, they have it so much easier" she's like it was worse, and that was bad, new shoes are better :)
I don't dance at all but watching the dancing, the rehersals, dance class, learning what goes on behind the scenes, the dancers' stories, watching pointe shoe fittings like this,is endlessly fascinating!
This was SO COOL!!! I really enjoyed this!!! and YES I would LOVE to see her old pointes!!!
I’m so excited to watch this!! Mrs. Larissa is the best 💕-Jaelyn Oh
I've missed these kind of fitting videos! Thanks for sharing
i'm sad i won't be able to watch this live, but i will when it's out
I would love to see her old shoes! What a wonderful video. I haven't been en pointe in over 20 years. Toe pads didn't exist back then. I used to have to tape my toes and use lambs wool for cushion. I used super glue to make my pointe shoes last longer.
I gotta admit, I'm now wondering what it'd be like to wear point shoes with the new technology and a proper fitting.
They definitely did exist but people Didn’t use them as much . At my company , they were considered a sign of weakness .
Jo your hair is absolutely STUNNING!!!
This is why I so enjoy your channel. Luv your reaction videos. They make my day. Your information videos are so good and chock full of great information. Thank you!
I’m getting a Point shoe fitting in two weeks I’m excited
I’m getting fitted for my first pair of pointe shoes later today! I’m so excited!
What great video! I love when you have dance veterans on, I always learn something new along with you
I don't dance or even undesrand ballet but I'm watching every video from this channel 😅
SO EXCITED OMGGGGG
Josephine asks if YAGP has favorites 👀

Everything about this is such an honor, I am swooning, you doing this video with Larissa and us getting to see
I watched an episode of On Pointe on Disney+ because of this channel out of curiosity. The drive and maturity these kids have from such a young age is incredible.
I’ll not be able to see it since I will be in school but I’ll make sure to watch it when I can!💜
Yes, I’d like to see the old pointe shoes!
I would love to see her old shoes as well! and I loooove hearing about "old" ballet
Not only I want to see her old shoes.. I neeeeeeeed to see them! Yes plz.
I'm waiting for it to drop while riding the school-bus 🥳
This was amazing! I'm ready for you to dance now Ms. Larissa! 😍
Hey Poor is my last name
I still love watching these sessions and I'm not a dancer.
Hi! I’ve just been binging ur vids 😅
Omg shes beatiful on point and after twenty years!? Wow
Lol that trick with furniture glue! I have used that so many times when i couldnt pay for a new pair right away!
Waiting from France 😀
Ballet icon 😍
Do they still hand-make the shoes at the Bolshoi?
Was the second one a Brava? I used to wear them but my local store doesn’t sell them anymore 😭
Josephine❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😄
so trippy bc we have the same names this is sooo cool tho
i was wondering if you had any recommendations for street shoes for dancers?
YAAAY
I recently got point shoes for the first time the hurt really bad
Ayo Joesphine looks smashing in this video
As being on point since I was 9 I love seeing all her video

👀
@@ThePointeShop i’ll look in my dairy
I found your doppelganger Josephine!!😁
Josephine: "32 fouettes" Larissa: "for sure not!"
hey Josephine! Do you have any point shoe brands that you think work well for narrow feet? love ya!
Grishko is your best bet :)
What is the name of the first shoe? Gorgeous!
You MUST react to the Viktor & Rolf 2014 Couture show.. the models/dancers were on pointe for almost the entire thing!! Truly a spectacle
Pointe shoes with a square box always seem to work best for me. But my problem is the heel on my foot. The heel on my foot extends further back. Meaning, if I go a size up in pointe shoes, the shoe is going to feel too big. But the larger platform provided by pointe shoes with a square box has helped me with balancing. I'm an adult dancer and I started at about 17 years of age. The reason why I started on pointe shoes so soon was because of my lower body strength. So don't nitpick me for starting ballet so late in life and because of the fact I dance en pointe!
Can you discuss what is a beautiful foot, etc?
A beautiful feet is basically with no imperfections and has a good point😂
Second!
❤️😘
Her feet are gorgeous! I’m impressed
Let us see the custom shoes!!! Please ^-^
Josephine: “No one has perfectly square feet.”
Me, looking at my square/rectangular feet. 😐
True story. My mom and I were looking around in the shoe department of a large store years ago. A clerk came over, admiring the ones she was looking at.
“Did you want to try them on?”
My mom’s reply was “Bring out the box. It’ll fit me better.”
Yes, I come by my wide, square feet naturally.
🤣🤣🤣
ballerina: darn (pun intended) my pointe shoes aren’t ready. 🙁 *puts in air fryer*
I wanna see them
Pocession? Possession please.
SHE HASN’T BEEN ON POINTE IN 20+ YEARS AND LOOKS LIKE THAT.?? exuse me
"It's comfy"
* cries in supercompressive Egyptian feet *
Oh ilhsm lol
I would love to see a fitting on someone with flat feet and no instep. I loved doing ballet but knew it would never go anywhere to had to quit and I never had a pretty point. Would be interesting to see how flat feet ballerina's get over the box.
Her feet looked ridiculous in the tapered shoe 🥰
Hi
Ems guess
Ello
I subscribe hope it helps it grow good luck
You guys should try to fit dancingwithmakenzie
her feet are unbelievable :0
I just wonder if she actually changed her name. Saveliev would be the male version of the name and Savelieva would be the female form of the name. Family names in Eastern European names tend to be gendered and names with ev/ov endings would take and a for women.
I’m way too early but whatever!
OMG MRS LARISSA YOUR FEET 🤩
Gahhhhhh her feet are GORGEOUS!!!!
I can imagine everyone gasping when they saw how beautiful her feet were.
Ooooohhhh, I'm pretty sure I have perfect square feet.
HER FEET 😍🤩
Her feet are just gorgeous.
Her feet??? Twenty years later??? Beautiful feet.
Ahh used foot smell. That human thing we all have to deal with lol.
Believe in Jesus Christ and repent today! He loves us all individually
I’ve noticed that Russians like a square toe...so square in fact that some of their shoes look like clogs. I don’t know why they prefer this...perhaps it’s habit? ...as their girls are light and strong and should have much prettier shoes on their gorgeous feet. I’m almost offended by the ugliness of some of their shoes...on their behalf!
The square are the same shoes for 30+ years is Russia
How about fitting some Ukrainian dancer instead of featuring Ruzzian theater?
