- USC is 3-1 and they're getting ready to play on the road again when they play the Minnesota Gophers. There are some flaws with the team, however, quitting when things are tough isn't one of them. Despite struggling on offense for portions of games, USC is one play away from being undefeated playing one of the toughest schedules in the country.
The WR group heading into the season was thought of as a strength. They still are, but they have had trouble being dominant. In the second segment, I explain what's making life difficult for USC's talented group of pass catchers.
The show wraps up by looking at the Trojans' jump in the AP Poll up to No. 11 and why at least 4 teams ahead of them are suspect.

Can't blame the 3 stars on the O line. Look at these others schools like Arizona or Iowa St. who don't recurit 4 or 5 stars but their lines play well.
They better fix the O-Line problem before Saturday because Minnesota almost beat Michigan these guys are good✌️
The stars on the line mean nothing to me, especially when I see other schools Utah, and other big ten school doing well with less, get these young men their 10,000 hrs. Reps.There is room to grow from this group, we have to work with what we have.

Utah and those other schools haven’t won anything major. Teams winning at a high level have 4/5 stars.Lincoln has to improve his trench recruiting.

My observations
There is no quit in this team , tough and hard hitting .
I heard that the DL would be better than the OL in fall camp .
Need to use Lane and Robinson WR 1 and 2. Use Branch for quick hitch and slant routes Z
Use Jayden in some packages when needed .
If they can improve the play calling in first half and OL can improve we can go 10 and 2.
This will be a play off level team .
Like Riley needs help running an offense

That O-line is ridiculous, and it has nothing to do with being young, or all the other excuses people make up to let that O-line off the hook! They need a new O-Line coach that's going to recruit at a high level! This O-line is full of 3-star recruits because the O-line coach doesn't recruit well! Recruits aren't coming to USC to be coached by that specific O-line coach! Instead, USC settles for the bottom of the barrel in respect to O-line recruits! USC needs to make a big hire in that O-line room just like they did with the defensive staff! Until then, the O-line will be the Achilles Heel of this current USC football team!!!

I got USC at #9 and it would be higher but the Refs robbed USC vs Michigan. My top 15 looks like this Mizz has played nobody rank no higher than 12th Miami shoulda lost to VT they should be no higher than 10th & Old Miss shoulda dropped to at least 18th. SC is not a top ten team. And they are not because their Oline stinks. They are not good at running the ball and just barely adequate at pass protection. Can they get better, I hope so. These next two games against Minnesota and Penn St will tell us a lot. If they are on a trajectory to improving.

Thanks for the info every morning and you’re knowledge on football I get a kick when the game starts. I turn on Bleacher Report live chat and read all the dumbass comments that people write on there about Miller Moss Who have probably never played a down of football in their life but because of video games they think they know everything. Miller is a stud. He’s dropping dimes under intense pressure if he had two more seconds to throw the ball this team would be unbelievable, which goes on to say what’s wrong with our offensive line coach not being able to get these guys on the same page that first year he inherited a pretty good offensive line. But since then his coaching has been questionable we need to do better.
I agree with all you said except criticizing ppl who may know less about football - fans ae at different levels in their knowledge of the game but ALL are entitled to express their opinions & feelings about what happened or is happening - if you disagree you can always tell them why they’re wrong without attacking their lack of knowledge or them personally
If you played as I did I’m sure you appreciated ALL THE FANS (ppl who cared about the team) not just those who had a high degree of knowledge about the great game of football 🙂✌️

Using some form of 2 TE gave moss time to throw. Good job. Good play was TE chip or delay into pattern was open. Don’t be afraid to do more. You know OL needs help.(2TE) good job Marc. We don’t want to play Alabama you’ll have to buy extra life insurance for Moss.
Olsen must continue to lag on his blocking, he could really stretch the field.

Riley isn't into "3 yds and a cloud of dust," but he needs to anchor the O properly. He did finally get TEs in the game and a few throws to RB's. But I finally did see Peterson in the game and that brought back memories of what coulda been again at 11/17 are 3rd down conversion took a huge leap forward compared to the debacle in the Big House with only 7/19 and we did make both 4th down attempts against Wisky. 166 yds rushing was decent with 37/45 designed run plays to pass plays with five runs diguized as passes to Marks and Joyner.
We won on the road we getting better top 5 receivers not playing BURKS, Anderson, Anthony, Gibson and faruq now that’s not 5 hurt receivers that is the top 5, 3 of those guys will be back in next 3 to 4 weeks we be ok😉 OU Texas 2 weeks
2 coaches that weren't fired last year are a good chunk of the reason as to why USC's O-line is garbage. Henson is way overrated and his line proves it...2 years running now. You got to coach up young players like Elijah Page and he just doesn't know how to do it. Bennie Wylie is way subpar and needs to make these boys, amongst other position players bigger, stronger, and faster. He's had his chance, and he's failed. Again this falls on Riley, he is the Head Coach after all. My untrained eye sees an O-line that protects poor Miller Moss like mashed potatoes. What does his trained eye see? It's time to start rolling Moss out of the pocket on a regular basis or he won't last. Ps. I'm still not happy with the pedestrian play calling in the first half. Does it take 2 quarters for LR's brain to warm up? Fight on!✌✌

Yes - the other teams don’t send our coaches their game plans to study PRIOR to the game - so after having seen what they’re doing for a half good coaches make needed adjustments at halftime (& if possible even in the first half) 🙂✌️
Not okay with Georgia only dropping a couple of spots. There is no real consequence for the bama Georgia game. One loses they justify by suggesting that they played a top team so there is little stop. Rigged polls

Glad we got the win but they had a backup qb playing. We can’t afford a first half like that against the teams ahead. More players to redshirt this week sadly.
I don't know what the coaching staff has been doing to prep the players, but they are underachieving the 1st half of pretty much all three of their games. Even against Utah state they started out slow, too slow.

The secret O-line solution?
Couple of years ago to my "untrained eyes" the only thing holding this kid back was his 265lbs. Fast forward to today he packs 315lbs with probably the best feet/movement on the O-line.

Bring Oline coach James Cregg back. He had great lines for the 3 years he was here. But I believe they just need experience, and USC trying to make a name for themselves in the present and future. So they have to develop a little faster.
I love USC football but the gophers are gonna smack us pretty hard.
. Lincoln should focus on calling shorter pass routes. Last season, the long-developing routes were a problem. Additionally, the defensive line needs to step up and prevent running backs from reaching the second level.
LR and MM need to start making teams pay for substituting when we don't like Aaron Roger's. I get so frustrated when they let the D off the hook. You see them running guys off the field snap the fucking ball....it's a free play why wait for the d to get set. There should be a call to let everyone know we're going right now...set hike. Take the free play.
I may be the only one who thinks a change at punt returner is warranted . Branch is hit and miss. You can't afford errors like he makes. Twice in each of the last 3 games he made critical mistakes .

Offense should be scoring no less than 40. And with slow starts, the struggles show that they should but aren’t. That means they have issues that need to be fixed. Hanson and his Oline need some serious work. Hanson should have a hot seat.
Marc - are we good enough to beat the top 10 api poll teams? We would have to play much better in the first half as those top 10 teams have good defenses.
