Excellent basic idea, but I see a MAJOR "bug" in the implementation: A USB port isn't likely to last very long before being tweaked out of shape and becoming useless from supporting the weight of the battery. Granted, the battery doesn't weigh much, but that relatively small weight is acting on a (comparatively speaking) VERY long lever, effectively multiplying the force the socket "feels". How much does it increase the force? Impossible to say without getting some exact measurements and doing the math, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's somewhere in the range of 5-10 times the weight of the battery. Even worse, that force will be "felt" by the socket for hours at a time as the battery charges. As it stands, I don't expect *ANY* USB socket to be able to survive it for more than a few charging cycles before it gets distorted to the point where it stops connecting properly to anything you try to plug into it. I'd have to go dig up the USB specification stuff to be absolutely certain, but I seem to recall reading that a USB socket is only designed to withstand a very few ounces - think less than half a pound, if it's even that high - of force in any direction other than "straight in" or "straight out". This little idea needs some way to take the downward force exerted by the weight of the battery off the USB socket - Perhaps a sort of "kickstand" at the far end of the charger unit to support it, or a short piece of cable between the USB plug and the charger unit. Either way, it needs SOME method of taking the force off the USB socket, which is, mechanically-speaking, not very strong at all, and very likely to fail quite rapidly if this thing is plugged into it with any regularity.

I made something similar using an old vape pen that already had all the components I needed. Only mine can charge both the flat top and the button top 18650s. :D

What is the simple circuit of the li ion chartering terminal? Just hsving thst in there makes the video simply an assembly of a pre-made battery charger, not exactly one made yourself, but of course you can still be creative, I'm wondering what junk electronics I can salvage to build the charger

very nice. except that a ready made charger costs less than the glue you need to make your own and does not require the need of 3rd hand, drill, soldering tools, dremel and so on.

1:26 If you're refining PVC with rotary tools or any other way, in which the PVC can heat up a lot due to frictional heat, make sure to wear a mask and do it in open air because nasty chloride gets set free when PVC is melted.
