There's some real rib ticklers in this farcical little piece. Fast paced hijinx with subtle wit and humour that is always the hallmark of good British theatre comedy. (cheers for the upload)

Hilary Hall School for boys is compelled to share their school buildings with St Swithins School for girls just after World War Two. Originally broadcast on BBC Radio Four on 25th August, 1979 as a Saturday Night Theatre production, adapted by Giles Cooper and featuring radio stalwarts Margot Boyd, Philip Voss, Roger Hammond, Tammy Ustinov, Brian Haines and a young Adam Godley as Hopcroft Mi (Minor).... classic farce by John Dighton. Enjoyable drama.

"Absolutely tip top" - thank you - most enjoyable. I feel my English prowess has improved a notch or two..... of course it may be at the detriment of my being understood in today's environment 😂😂😂

I love listening to this over and over. Margot Boyd is fantastic. First heard it as a teenager in 1979.

Tremendous fun . A hefty dose of good old eccentric British nonsense . The general deitics (time-place-people-space) here combined with good confident writing and acting mark this little gem above "typical of the genre" status . I heard it before , enjoyed it equally now ; and , will prob listen again sometime ~

@@adebinelli8182 Well good ; and , thanku Ade ~ having not recognized the title , I was delighted to've stumbled across it again . Have you watched "The Shooting Party" ? It's an omeleto comedy short on TH-cam , nothing like this , at all , but very very good . It's only about 12 mins long so easily absorbed*
