Never heard of this. But i believe this actually found me. Im going through a devastating time. Im currently in the beginning stages of leaving my abusive husband with our 5 year old child. I have no money, no where to call home. I have been planning and praying and hoping all will go well. This here has been the one thing to take my mind away from this nightmare. I believe i have found a nee love, amongst all my pain… classic old time radio shows. Thank you for sharing this. Its giving me a tiny piece of peace in this current situation im in. I love the interaction with tea ladies and the cleaning ladies, very talented actors themselves.

“A rebooking, break out the champagne”. I grew up in Southend which sounds a lot like Stoneybeach. An expat listening in S Florida, a lot sunnier than Southend.

Leslie Phillips had such a long and storied career. He really did get kind of typecast as the suave womanizer, but it fit him perfectly.

Did anyone give British Rail more grief or bad publicity than Bristow?

Has anyone else noticed that the post boy sounds like a girl? I don’t think it’s the same post boy in other episodes. Maybe another cast member was pulling double duty. Nevertheless, it’s a very good cast, especially the tea ladies.
