I love the interaction with tea ladies and the cleaning ladies, very talented actors themselves.

“A rebooking, break out the champagne”. I grew up in Southend which sounds a lot like Stoneybeach. An expat listening in S Florida, a lot sunnier than Southend.

Leslie Phillips had such a long and storied career. He really did get kind of typecast as the suave womanizer, but it fit him perfectly.

Did anyone give British Rail more grief or bad publicity than Bristow?

Has anyone else noticed that the post boy sounds like a girl? I don’t think it’s the same post boy in other episodes. Maybe another cast member was pulling double duty. Nevertheless, it’s a very good cast, especially the tea ladies.

My dad was a big Bristow comic strip fan growing up. I don’t know if he was aware of it being produced on radio. Unfortunately, he passed away ten years ago so I have no way of knowing. I think he would have loved it. An expat listening in S Florida.

As a kid, I remember my dad used to love Bristow in the Evening Standard. I never realized it had been made into a radio play. An expat listening in Florida.

Another great Bob Hope movie, this time he gets the beautiful Rhonda Fleming in the end. And Roland Young out of his "Topper" character and the bad guy. Great movie. well worth watching again. Joe S
