5 MINDBLOWING PROCREATE HACKS: 0:16 Assign the same drawing brush to the eraser tool 0:28 Switch between resizing your artwork and zoom 0:48 Quickly clear a layer 0:57 Quickly change canvas to screen size 1:11 Adjust the brush size while drawing Awesome hacks Ian!
Amazing, thanks! I only knew one-and-a-half of these (I knew you could pinch to zoom in but not spread to zoom back out.) BUT, I just discovered another great one. If you want to change your canvas orientation between portrait and landscape, go to the gallery, press and hold two fingers on the thumbnail and then just twist to change orientation.
Nice tips! I had found out by accident the "resize the canvas while transforming an object" feature not that long ago. The quick switching from brush to eraser is a nice found too. Thanks!
Who the hell gave you a thumbs down?!?! This is amazing!!!! I didn’t know any of this tricks!! ... and this is why you’re my favorite lettering artist :) Thanks for the tips Ian!!
This is very helpful. Awesome tips. I hope you will have more tips and lettering tutorial using procreate. Keep it coming. more power to your channel. thanks
Thanks! I just got my iPad last night and I couldn't figure out how to clear a layer or how to get it back to full screen. I was wasting time trying to zoom back out and creating new layers. Awesome tips.
That was great! You really nailed it, and your sense of humor is charming, plus no silky gonzo camera work or background music up waaaay to loud. Could hear you, see your examples clearly, and you delivered what you promised, 5 great skills to know in Procreate! Ok, I’m subscribing 😁
@IanBarnard Great video! Thank you for all the tips. I need a major help though. Everytime I move my artwork using transform tool, a part of it gets cropped which is outside the canvas. What seems to be the problem here? Thanks in advance!
OMG thank you for the quick pinch to fill screen size... I was searching how to do this for ages. Is there a gesture for simply straightening the canvas up at current zoom?
Thanks , they were really helpful, i even discovered a new hack. When you make half a circle with 3 fingers a table shows up for cut / copy / paste...etc
Awesome tips! Question: How do you resize your artwork without losing resolution? Whenever I try to resize (bigger or smaller), that layer becomes a bit blurry. Thanks!
Wow Thank you! Tip 2 is def going to save me soooooo many selections and time!!! hahaha and tip 5 is amazing as well, great great video! short and to the point :)
WOW! The holding the arrow icon to zoom canvas thing is so useful! Did not know about that. Procreate has more hidden features (or I should just say it has a terrible way of hiding how to do basic shit lol) Is there like a manual with EVERY little thing you can do?
You can assign “flip canvas” to the quick menu, if it isn’t already assigned by default! To access the quick menu, tap the square between the brush sliders.
Sweet tips! FYI, the 3-finger layer clearing also works by just quickly rubbing 3 fingers back and forth on the screen (like you were using them as an eraser.)
Also, that trick about copying the drawing brush to the eraser-it goes both ways, and you can do the same thing with the smudge tool. How cool is that!?
On a single layer, I’ve multiple objects, say multiple birds, Distance bird will be out of focus, where closer bird will be focused, plz suggest how to do?
good video, to the point, and no sharing/wasting peoples time with who gives a shit personal stories. and no brush pushing. I think this is the first procreate video ive watched without someone trying to sell me something I could make myself in 10 minutes. thanks.
