Wow, awesome footage! Congrats! I'm gonna buy a new camera and am hesitating between A7iii and XT3. But after watch your video, GH5 is definitely a new candidate. What a dilemma 😱. Thanks for sharing your work, loved it!
Hi Erik, thank you for the kind words. Enjoy your time there, Jordan is great! When I went it was not hard to get drones in, but I did hear they are very strict nowadays.
Great job! How do you like the Sigma? And did you do manual focus the whole time even on the tracking shots? I wanna make if you travel videos and trying to to decide on some lenses, thinking of maybe getting the Leica 12-60, the Sigma 18 to 35, and the Pan 35-100 or 100-300. Not sure if I should replace one of those with a prime or even ultra wide like the 8-18 for vlogging. Can the 12-60 handle that well? Any advice from the field would be great :)
Thanks Sean! The sigma is great optically and a good zoom range for me with the speedbooster, but it is quite heavy. Manual focus the whole time even on the tracking shots, just prefocus and try to walk at the same speed as the subject so you keep the same distance. As for the lens advice, if you never or seldom want to change lens I would get the 12-60 and a prime for low light, like panny 15 f1.7. If you know you will be shooting a lot of low light all the time then get the sigma 18-35 with speedbooster (or just get a GH5s). If you want the most flexibility, I would get the 8-18, 15 f1.7 or 25 f1.4, 35-100. I don't really recommend the 100-300 unless you know you will be carrying a tripod/monopod because it's very hard to handhold those focal lengths for video. I personally went with the Sigma because I didn't want to change lens in the desert because of dust, and some of those canyons were very dark, I was shooting those shots at f1.2 1600-3200 iso.
This video is awesome. Can you tell me which 18-35mm lens you got......Nikon, Canon etc. I don't want to get the wrong one. Also I've been thinking about 12-35mm II.... that looks decent too. I know it's been a while but what are your thoughts still on the sigma?
Hi Matthew thanks for watching. I got the Canon one because I already had the Canon to m43 adapter. I think both of them are the same just which adapter you have or want to buy and what other lens you already have. The 12-35 ii is a lot more convenient because you don't need to buy an adapter and it's so much smaller and lighter but it's 2 stops slower so that's the trade off. Honestly can't go wrong with either it's up to personal preference.
@@nboonyap thanks for replying. I've been looking at the 12-35mm II too. It's the low light capabilities that I want too. It's the sigma combo I'm interested in or the 12-35mm II and a nice low light lens. Thanks for replying bud.
I love this video. I am curious, how did you get the drone shots? I have contacted every government agency and am told that Drone use is not allowed in the country. How were you able to get around this? Any leads are appreciated!

Just curious.....do you still use this setup? I know the hype with this combo so I hope it's a great setup to use for more that a few months.
Yes, although I did add a separate camera for stills.

This was a few years ago, it is very different now and almost impossible to get permits/or even take drones into the country.
Great video!
very Good video
sound Good
Nice video. But the music is throwing me off. It doesn't match the feel of the video. It's too intense.
