Wadi Rum is one of the most magical places I ever visited in my life. The openness, the freedom and the silence there is breathtaking. There were instances the only thing you could hear for hours was the wind. Wadi Rum is truly a place you get lost in, only to find yourself.

All I can see is the effect of the deluge, with lateral striation of almost every rock, only top of tallest were above the highest flows. Sand deposited infinitely, here deluge travelled 1000Ks more and the deposit is silt. We do have irradict rocks sitting on top in some places.

Am lucky and thankful to have been able to travel the world over the years. The Wadi Rum and Petra are some of those few special places left that you must see if your able to get there. My buddy's and I years ago while deployed were invited on my trip by the Jordanian Royal Family and Our Guide was his majesty King Abdullah 2 ( the warrior king) when he was still Prince. He fought with us during the tanker wars in the Persian Gulf when we were young men in the late 80s. My experience to the Wadi Rum and Petra Jordan was and still is the most memorable and special place I have visited.

I've just returned from a three-week trip in Jordan. Friendly people, rich history and amazing scenery. Wadi Rum is absolutely mind blowing. One of the most beautiful places i've ever been to. I spent three days and three nights there, experiencing the silence, the immensity and the star-lit sky at night. It was extraordinary! Will definitely visit again.

I love the desert. It's so raw and so real. It's also powerful and mysterious. It demands respect. It's deadly, yet life persists. A land where the stars at night go all the way to the ground. Touch the sky, touch the stars, touch God.

My family visited for several nights back in april 2018 when we visited my nephews family in Al Mafraq & Al Zarqa.
The entire 4 hour drive south was so worth it.
    Stayed at a beautiful campsite.
We all sat atop a huge rock at sunset.
The rooms were amazing, and the beds were so soft, like clouds.
The darkness at night was magical.
I never saw so many stars in my life.
Visited Petra the entire next day, that was emotional, then stayed at the Dead Sea for several more days before heading back to his parents.
Wishing I can go back soon.
We loved Jordan, the people are so friendly.

I went to the Wadi Rum in January 2016 and again in October 2017. The second time I stayed 12 nights experiencing everything from climbing with Habis to getting lost for hours on my own. I always said people who went back to the same places were uninspired and a little boring.... but I went back again on January 1st this year because I left my heart there. I won't go in winter again but I know I'll be back there one day. An alternative for flights in via Israel and across the border at Eilat.
My soul is in the Wadi Rum

Thats a great video and the clarity of the footage is a credit to you. As for the music , I could hear R2D2 but not Cp30 and half expected Obionecanobi to come waltzing around a corner lol.
Thanks for posting this great video.

The landscape from Jordan down to Yemen is magical with amazing and mysterious archaeological sites undiscovered.

Very beautiful without all the sea water. These big rocky islands would have been spectacular to sail around once, before all the water drained away.

Wow, looks almost exactly like Mars. I can see why movie producers like this place. Just wish it was closer to where I live. Very, very cool!

Was supposed to walk in this beautiful place today. But the worldwide restrictions on travel, due to Covid 19, has forced us to look forward to coming here later.

Consciously or otherwise, you have positioned your camera to replicate many landscape scenes from the film Lawrence Of Arabia. I had a lot
    of fun matching them up.
