Cudos to this guy for helping us out. It drove me crazy looking for something on this. This really is the only video I found after hours of searching for a tutorial on how to wire this 3 pin switch. Thanks again!
This 3 prong switch has also been driving me crazy trying to figure out the wiring! Thank you Gabyone EET for this video. You explain it simply and easily!
What is needed to turn on the light switch? The vendor of a switch I purchased that looks like yours posted a diagram I initially used and did NOT work. I followed your video and my equipment powered on. Thanks!!
I have this switch exactly as you have and it does not work I have connected all the wires as you have but no power I have checked all fuses all my fuses okay the rocker switch does not wake up to me there should be another wire on the third pin
edstar83 I’m pretty sure he asked for a schematic on the 3 prong power switch, not 4 prong power switch. It helps a bit, but it’s still confusing as to which prong does what. For example, he does not use the 3rd prong in the video. So what’s that one for?
@@rokuken I think it should be used for neutral, only for the light of the switch to light ON when pressed. I'll try on mine to check. I'm looking for the informations.
Thank you! You are like the only one on the net that shows this type with the 3 connections on the rocker switch. All the others have 4.
Cheers!

i wired like you, psu works but no led on the rocker?
are you serious? did you change the orientation of the switch mid video?
Neutral should be connected to the switch
What if it has only 2 pins behind the switch (like mine)? No idea how to connect the damn thing.

How did you solve it?
WHAT ABOUT THE FUSE?
Thanks but I still don't understand how it works. A schematic should've been provided

@@edstar83 that is a completely different switch to the one in the video
@@rokuken is it for the led light in the switch
Your wire is too thin. They could burn and catch fire
But swith not light up...
Bur_lion how is a DC component going to work with AC current? Do they integrate internal circuits just for powering an LED?
Alejandro Pérez in switch not a led... just a little ac bulb. :) i can send to you photo of my psu box with light. :)
One Year Later. If you connect the (N) Neutral to the available pin that is not used in the video your switch will light up. =)
