- These are a few clips showing how I wired up an "IEC 320 C14 Power Socket with LED Rocker Switch" for one of my arcade builds. Off video I replaced the non insulated quick connectors with proper insulated ones but at the time I just wanted to get the project tested.
I filmed this back in 2018 and there hasn't been any electrical issues with this build. Save the comments section for questions and be helpful to others!

I bought a switch sort of like but originally from a different seller. Don't forget to buy a fuse as well!

Thanks man, i need this for building an my playbox (playstation box portable)
Quick and to the point. Still frame on the detail. Thanks!
thanks for watching!
Funny enough that I also needed this for an Arcade cabinet I am building.
Glad it can help!
Excellent, just what I needed - many thanks.
Basic question: what's an "insulated quick connector"?
There are lots of different kinds. Insulated is basically just covered to help prevent short circuits

@@WeBuildStuff Thanks :)
What if my terminal just has two cable, it still ok sir?
Thanks for the video, I have a IEC 320 connector with a noise filter that protrudes 2" beyond the face. The connections are made at the end of the filter. Do you feel its safe to mount this on a wood keyboard amp frame? There is no room to cut a hole on the metal surface where the transformer, electronics and dials/jacks are mounted. Because the filter is so long, the connections would be clear of the wood surface. Thanks again
Your use two diferent sizes of faston terminals bro?
what gauge wire should i use to make the jumpers?
Between 16-12g. 16g is usually rated for light duty with 14-12 for heavier duty
Depends on the maximum amp you are planning on using and the wire length. You can find a wire diameter calculator that tells what gauge to use for your application.
