I was 10 thru 12 years old when they won those 3 straight WS . That was hellva team one best all time if free agency doesn't happen no telling how many WS they would have won in the 70s'.

They were without a doubt an incredible dynasty... Their roster was a veritable All-Star team, that was much more than just Reggie, Catfish and Rollie... Every position was of excellent caliber... Now that the the A's are leaving for more greed, my heart weeps for Oakland 🖖

@@BBUYTTV It certainly is a sad state of affairs... And especially also considering that the state that they are leaving is known throughout America as the People's Communist Republic of California... A sad, sad state to be sure ✌

This Oakland A’s team was best ever MLB in the history of game and could of won more World Series championships if wasn’t for Charlie Finley breaking up the team.

The Red Sox swept them in the ALCS in '75. Their dynasty was finished after '74.

That was a great World Series. The sneaky strikeout of Johnny Bench, which was made against the rules later, was one of the best and funniest things I ever saw.
Most of the adults were for the Reds, because they were seen as the non - hippie team, and most of the kids were for the As, because they were seen as the hippie team.

They had a dynasty that rivaled Baltimore and New York. Best of a generation. Until Finley dismantled the team. He was hated by the players and fans. He changed the game. Brought in the DH for AL.

Not many people gave them chance against the Reds in 72 WS. Especially without Reggie Jackson. Never forget that catch Joe Rudi made in left field. Gene Tenace hitting those 2 Hr in game one and game four. To this day if I had to pick a pitcher to win one game it would b Catfish Hunter . Vida and Holtzman . Rollie Fingers one greatest closers history of baseball

The only think that stopped the A's in the 70's was the coming of free agency and well their owner LOL.
