Exactly! I'd LOVE for them to remake this game and finally give us answers for what happens after this scene! I think this is the last scene in the FF7 timeline, so if they manage to tie it back into the Remake trilogy that would be awesome! Plus the fact they flatout included Deppground in FF7 Remake; how could they not remake DoC?! 😆

Since Deep Ground, as well as Nero and Weiss, have already made an appearance in Remake, this scene brings about a theory. We know that in Remake, Sephiroth basically pulled a Back To The Future in order to change things. But what if he wasn't acting alone? What if he was working with his brother? What if Genesis had or has a hand in the whole remaking and redoing history? What if it's not actually Sephiroth that's giving Cloud the halucinations? We already knew Weiss had some weird powers due to the Deep Ground experiments. What if Genesis here took Weiss body, and is utilizing the powers in some way to rewrite history?
Im 28 years old, when i was a kid i saw my big brother play this a bit loved it, now January 2nd, 2024 i finaly finished FF7 the og, (havent touched remanes yet), played and finished Crisis Core way back, and now binge watched Dirge of Cerberus... WASNT GENESIS DEAD? whats thisssssssssss cliffhanger AAAAAAAAAAH. Next day ill watch advent children

This is Genesis, it's just Gackt (the model and JVA for Genesis) in front of a green screen. This was the FF7 players very first introduction to Genesis; Crisis Core was made after this, where they changed a few things of his design and personality.

Genesis here said "Otouto" as reference to Weiss. It means "younger brother". Meanwhile, Nero is younger than Weiss. In Crisis Core, the one who took unconscious Genesis away is the Tsviets.

Just the wife and I exploring old memories... helluva throwback and still theorize that a sequel was planned.
Fun Fact: Sephiroth's wing is on his right side / Genesis's wing is on his left side.
