- Hi, we are Harriet and Mauro and in February 2021 we bought an abandoned smallholding in Castellón, Spain. In these videos we share our life as we restore and improve our little stone house, learn to grow and preserve our own food, and bring our 4 acres of farmland back to productivity.

I’m still amazed with how far your little house has come along over the last couple of years or so. I love your “let’s get it done” attitude. Well done
I'm a new subscriber and have been binge watching. Obviously l know nothing. Sorry for the questions. God bless you all and many prayers 🙏🏻 Nurse Judi in Scottsdale AZ and Eucharistic Minister 🙏🏻 Your son is beautiful. My grandson lst BTW was born 3 months early & just got out of the NICU. Hole in his heart. We're praying hard!
Congratulations on the birth of your grandson!
Dear Harriet,as always you are the best, a true example of persistence and joy.
It’s amazing what you’ve achieved especially when you consider you’ve had so many things to battle, a difficult pregnancy, a poorly premature baby and you and Mauro have both had several health issues! You’re absolutely amazing, both of you. X
It is a joy to see the progress you and Mauro have made in such a short time. You must be so proud that you did it yourselves. Santi is so lucky to have such industrious parents.
You worked so hard and it looks lovely! Well done Harriet and Mauro!
You and Mauro make an amazing team. The kitchen has come such a long way. Thanks for the refresh. Keep up the good work. And Santi is the cutest little guy ever.
Amazing how much you have accomplished with ALL your huge roadblocks. Harriet, when I do a task that is not on the list, I add it to the list so I can tick it off. 😆
Awesome 👍👌❤
Oh Harriet you and Mauro are such hard workers. With all the set backs you don’t let it phase you, carry on regardless. It’s inspiring the way you get on with it. Your baby is gorgeous ❤
Hello Harriet.Although I don't comment most of the time but I still come to watch and m so amazed at how far you've come.
You are doing great and I love your little family❤❤
❤ Felicidades por vuestra casa
Bravo, you're such a great family. But pardon me, Santy is the most adorable member. 😂❤👍
I can imagine the joy of living in a place that you built yourself!
Harriet, you are a “Go Gitter”. (That’s a compliment) ❤️
Great work! I find it very interesting the different materials people use around the world to make a home. You guys do everything in bricks, mortar, and plaster. I watch a couple in Portugal who use mostly concrete and stone and another couple in Panama who have to use steel everywhere because of rot problems.
Harriet, you and Mauro have done a massive amount of work. Plus you had a baby in the middle of it. Your kitchen is looking so good. And that pantry! What I would give for a massive walk in pantry like that. I truly can't wait to see your surprises and the finished kitchen. When this is all done, think of the spare time you will have (a little joke). Congratulations!
Quedo preciosa la cocina, habeis hecho un buen trabajo
jajaja "que rico matecito" (ruidito de mate) ♥♥♥
😎
Fantastic job looks beautiful things can be quirky and rustic as long as they are functional you’ve achieved that. I’m impressed by your efforts squirrelling away little bits of time here and there….really awesome will be interesting to see what comes next. 🙂
It's such a pleasure to watch you both . You've both done an incredible job.Baby Santi is just gorgeous. You're both looking well.❤❤❤
❤ sois muy trabajadores ❤
A great video, you guys work so hard and you now have a unique and beautiful kitchen.
Me gusta todo!!!!!❤❤❤❤
How time fly. Can't believe 6 months past already. 😮 But did enjoy all your video's and renovation. And sometimes all by yourself. 🙌🙌🙌 You need a lot of respect from allot of men. A woman doing what you did.
Me encanta verte con toda esa ilusión solo por eso,ya te digo que es la mejor cocina que he visto hecha por una persona que no tenía ni idea de nada de lo que has hecho❤
My,you have become tile experts! I love your rustic kitchen look-everything is so plastic these days-texture,texture is great.😅
Felicidades por el trabajo bien hecho y m alegro muchísimo que estéis bien.
One word, Harriet, amazing!
Well done 👍 Love Love the rustic kitchen ❤ City people pay a fortune for that look.

haha I so relate the cheated feeling of not getting to cross something off your todo list that was never there.
It really is nothing short of amazing what you have accomplished in the time you have done so. Especially with a new baby and all of the hospital visits for various things. Everything is just coming along wonderfully. But most important, you three look to be happy and healthy! Bravo! Much love from Florida! 🥰
Wow the kitchen looks great all your work is making a difference. Be proud of all your progress
We make a list of weekend jobs, if we do something that is not on the list we add it then tick it off!! You have made a lovey kitchen, all your hard work has paid off.
Lovely job Harriet and Mauro, the kitchen is the hardest to renovate as it's the hub of a home with meals still needing to be prepared regardless.... you have done well and I love the rustic charm.
It's great watching you both progress.
Saludos de Castellón ❤

That kitchen looks great, good work guys. I think it's both inspiring and impressive how good its current state is compared to how it began, it looks rather smart and enviable.
You are such a hard worker when y’all get old and y’all get become empty nesters you’re gonna enjoy life much better there. I’m sure outside it’s gonna be beautiful. Inside is coming along. Y’all get to have company drink some wine. Drink some tea. Have a coffee and enjoy the hard work you have put in.(future)🫶🏽
You should both be proud. You are both tireless, hard workers.
Hola familia, que gran trabajo, la cocina ha quedado preciosa!!! Cuando vamos a ver un video en el que solo descanses??? 😂😂😂mil 😘😘😘
I so admire you Both and you always so positive and accomplished so much even though you both got a few curve balls ….God Bless your Family
❤love all your hard work! You both inspire us,just by living with what you have and choosing to be content❤
You are right and you shoe proud to have done that mostly by yourself and using a lot of recycled materials. It looks jolly good.
Gracies por este gran vídeo 💕🩷💕
Amazing work, well done and Congratulations. 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💕💕💕💕💕
10:48 You need a drill that has a hammer mode. Masonry bits don't need to be as sharp as wood and metal bits, because the hammer action shatters the rocks.
It has that, but it’s just not a super powerful drill
@@LittleSpanishFarmstead Perhaps it's time for a better wired drill...
Fantastic job Harriot! 👏👏👏
You are both amazing! What grafters you are. You are well justified in being proud of what you have achieved. Not least because of all the trials and tribulations you have all faced. Really, really well done! We don’t know you personally, but we’re proud of you ❤❤❤
It looks a lovely rustic kitchen, and as long as your happy with it and it does its job, then don’t worry about what people think. ❤️🇬🇧🙏
Ive been following you from the beginning, i love every single one of your videos and i feel very privileged to be a part of this wonderful journey.
Marmite cupboard.... i thought i was the only one with that !! English living in Turkey. I know how precious that is.

Wow, what a great job you did! All done with all the challenges you have faced over the last year! Well done and Congratulations! I am very curious to see what the next video reveals. It looks that you feel better and that is wonderful!
I'm so glad to see another young family doing off-grid in Spain! I feel that most of the off-grid channels are made by couples in Portugal 🤔 We have a finca in Northeastern Spain, just like yours - off-grid and in need of serious TLC 👷🏼♂️
Now, that is what I call a genuine bespoke kitchen !❤
You guys have done an amazing job!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 Congratulations 🍾🎉🎈 Much love!! 🙌🏻🦋❤️ from Kentucky 😘🥰😍🇺🇸
Im finally right up to date and I love your channel. You are a wonderful couple, Santi is so cute and looks just like you Harriet. Im so sorry you have had so many medical issues to deal with, but hopefully all will be well soon. Your donkey is so gorgeous and really looking forward to the extension you are planning for him. You have worked so hard on your property and it all looks so amazing, Mauro has really gotten into the work, but Harriet you are incredible and have learnt that you can do all these things so well x
Thank you! ❤️❤️
Love the cupboards!
You are a super woman doing all the work!
Your son and husband can be happy to have such a beautiful hard working woman!

It's getting better and better it's a small house so it's good having all those shelves 😊
Looks so good. Loads of storage space you’ve created. You must be pretty chuffed🎉.
Hahah yes we are. Actually struggling to fill it 😂
Harriet you both work so hard and achieve so much with so little recycling is such a great idea I have know idea whats coming for your kitchen so I can’t wait too see what you both have planned .🙋♀️🇦🇺
Hi beautiful little family. .just a note to say that your home and farm are looking great..you are doing such a remarkable job. . Your hard work is definitely paying off..❤
You two are powerhouses when it comes to renovating despite all the other life things happening.
this is awesome! you've come so far and im excited to follow along :)
Great job! I can't wait to see the final result.
What a great job you have done. 🎉
I adore what you did with the pipe. I'd never have had the patience to go back and redo so much. It looks great, and you guys are awesome.
Wow - you did it! Congratulations - it looks lovely. I admire your energy and your 'not giving up'. Such an inspiration - enjoy your work. Very well done! Greetings from the Netherlands.
Your kitchen looks fab! What a transformation!
If that huge fridge freezer is the Samsung one, watch out. I had one and it stopped maintaining temperature after just 3 years. Accessing the drain hole for the freezer also requires you to remove the back panel inside and disconnect the fan!!! It was great while it worked though, no cold spots to freeze my salad.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the wooden boards on the wall are for...
