Grayson, it’s great that you’re reading the translation of the Quran but you need to understand the context of each verse to fully understand it. The reason it can sometimes feel so overwhelming is because after your soul recognizes the truth and its not followed up by actions, It is not followed by true submission through humility the soul will stay in a perpetual state of unrest till that submission happens. Too many different reactions, too many voices in your ears and mind(including this one) instead of more reliable and reputed sources of knowledge and information i.e scholars and learned people. With that being said, I love watching you on this journey. It makes us Muslims happy when people recognize the truth, wake up and seek knowledge. It boosts our morale and makes us happy for you. It also exhibits the incredible mercy of Allah (SWT) on His creation.

I agree with what you said about Tafsirs, It is like the interpreters want to program your mind as how they think the verse means and it completely destroys your independent mind from reading the pure text itself to understand what it clearly is talking about. If God wanted us to read Tafsirs to understand the Holy Quran, He wouldn't have commanded us to Meditate on the Verses of the Book. A person who read the Tafsirs, won't meditates on the Verses itself more than tafsir given, because they just borrow the ideo of another person who just wrote the tafsir.
Thanks so much for your video. I am learning together with you. I'm reading what you're reading, contemplating together with you after each verse. There are multiple translations check them out. Sometimes the translations are not so literal to the Arabic verse. Past tense carries to the present time also not just the past. If that is not the case then the Quran won't be for all times. You are doing a great job studying this verse that even Muslims don't do. It is called "Tadabbur" to analyze and contemplate.
You are the 1st man(seems Non Muslim but you already near to it)in human history who is reading the Quran in Infront of all human beings showing the real truth send by Allah who sent also all the holy books successively. Reward for you to our Almighty Allah.
Don't know if you got to it already. But even before God declared the humans and satan enemies of each other, ordering them to descend from paradise, the devil declared himself an enemy to mankind. Which you will read in further surahs. And even God keeps warning us in multiple verses that "Oh children of Adam, did I not warn you to not worship satan, indeed he is a clear enemy to you". For the dialogue between God and Iblis contains the following words, on the day he refused to bow to Adam; 'Surely We created you, then shaped you, then said to the angels, “Prostrate before Adam,” so they all did-but not Iblîs, who refused to prostrate with the others. Allah asked, “What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?” He replied, “I am better than he is: You created me from fire and him from clay.” Allah said, “Then get down from Paradise! It is not for you to be arrogant here. So get out! You are truly one of the disgraced.” He appealed, “Then delay my end until the Day of their resurrection.” Allah said, “You are delayed ˹until the appointed Day˺.” He said, “For leaving me to stray I will lie in ambush for them on Your Straight Path. I will approach them from their front, their back, their right, their left, and then You will find most of them ungrateful.” Allah said, “Get out of Paradise! You are disgraced and rejected! I will certainly fill up Hell with you and your followers all together.”' (surah 7 Al-A'raf. verses 11-18) Then the following verses continues to the story of the forbidden tree. You see, that last verse (18) is the promise God made and the reason he doesn't guide us all. He tells us many times in the Quran that He will fulfill his promise; whomever chooses to follow satan, God will fill hell with them. Even on the day of judgement when the people will try and blame Satan, "satan will say ˹to his followers˺ after the judgment has been passed, “Indeed, Allah has made you a true **promise**. I too made you a promise, but I failed you. I did not have any authority over you. I only called you, and you responded to me. So do not blame me; blame yourselves. I cannot save you, nor can you save me. Indeed, I denounce your previous association of me with Allah ˹in loyalty˺. Surely the wrongdoers will suffer a painful punishment.”-14:22 Every time you have a question, write the question down and continue reading, you will see that the Quran contains the answer.

Some part of Quran is about events, so you have to know about the history and series of events. There are verses about battles between opponent and persons who embarrassed Islam.
Grayson, please stop saying mom and dad created you because they didn't. They couldn't even make a single body cell. If they could, they would have made you the most handsome man on this planet. The only thing they could do is to make an effort and hope to have a child without defining how you would look like. We only can hope and do an effort as much as we can do, but the result is only God can determine for sure.
@@user-zc2hz3yj2k that´s the wrong question you are asking. What you should be asking is: if these aliens did create the earth and humans, would that make them our creators worthy of worship?
in the quran when allah says " we " its a sign of prestige or highness or in a formal way , in arabic and french we say نحن or أنتم ( we or you ( plural) ) or in french nous or vous as a sign of formal terms and respect
The English translation is just that, it is not the actual Arabic words. So, if you want to go in depth as far as the specific meanings of words then you need to further research what is meant by the Arabic words translated into English. Remember, there are about 1/2 million English words, but the Arabic words have been estimated by some to be over 10 million words. That by itself makes translating the accurate meaning of Arabic words not so easy to a more limited language like the English. So, you need to dig deeper into the specific meanings of words used in the Quran within the context they were used.
God didn’t perserve the torah and Bible because they were only meant for a group of people where as the Quran is for the whole world that’s why it stayed the same
You are just repeating what you hear from your imams. Your quran says otherwise. Allah says no one can change his words. He doesnt say no one can change the words in the quran, he said no one can change his words! If he revealed the torah and injeel and you claim its been corrupted then you are claiming that your allah lied and he can't be trusted. Also, you have multiple arabic qurans with different words that changes the meanings!

This is so true. As a born a Muslim, I went through this too. The unrest didn't stop till I sacrificed my desires and started following the commandments of Allah.
"The Muslim Lantern" has an exegesis of the Quran you can continue with him he is explaining the meanings of the Quran starting from Surah 1 and going..❤

I agree with what you said about Tafsirs,
It is like the interpreters want to program your mind as how they think the verse means and it completely destroys your independent mind from reading the pure text itself to understand what it clearly is talking about.

Please also read explanation of all verses so you can understand the meaning behind very line of Quran .
You are the 1st man(seems
Non Muslim but you already near to it)in human history who is reading the Quran in Infront of all human beings showing the real truth send by Allah who sent also all the holy books successively. Reward for you to our Almighty Allah.

I agree read the text and the background only when u don’t understand . There is a background for 2:26 .
Don't know if you got to it already. But even before God declared the humans and satan enemies of each other, ordering them to descend from paradise, the devil declared himself an enemy to mankind. Which you will read in further surahs. And even God keeps warning us in multiple verses that "Oh children of Adam, did I not warn you to not worship satan, indeed he is a clear enemy to you". For the dialogue between God and Iblis contains the following words, on the day he refused to bow to Adam;
'Surely We created you, then shaped you, then said to the angels, “Prostrate before Adam,” so they all did-but not Iblîs, who refused to prostrate with the others.
Allah asked, “What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?” He replied, “I am better than he is: You created me from fire and him from clay.”
Allah said, “Then get down from Paradise! It is not for you to be arrogant here. So get out! You are truly one of the disgraced.”
He appealed, “Then delay my end until the Day of their resurrection.”
Allah said, “You are delayed ˹until the appointed Day˺.”
He said, “For leaving me to stray I will lie in ambush for them on Your Straight Path.
I will approach them from their front, their back, their right, their left, and then You will find most of them ungrateful.”
Allah said, “Get out of Paradise! You are disgraced and rejected! I will certainly fill up Hell with you and your followers all together.”' (surah 7 Al-A'raf. verses 11-18)
Then the following verses continues to the story of the forbidden tree.
Surely the wrongdoers will suffer a painful punishment.”-14:22
Every time you have a question, write the question down and continue reading, you will see that the Quran contains the answer.
Bless u.
49:50 congratulations for the thinking way

The English translation is just that, it is not the actual Arabic words. So, if you want to go in depth as far as the specific meanings of words then you need to further research what is meant by the Arabic words translated into English.
Remember, there are about 1/2 million English words, but the Arabic words have been estimated by some to be over 10 million words. That by itself makes translating the accurate meaning of Arabic words not so easy to a more limited language like the English.
So, you need to dig deeper into the specific meanings of words used in the Quran within the context they were used.
God didn’t perserve the torah and Bible because they were only meant for a group of people where as the Quran is for the whole world that’s why it stayed the same
What did Uthman burn, and where is uthmanns Qur'an.
