  • Merry Christmas!! This was meant to not just be my Christmas present to my subscribers, but also my celebration surprise for how two days ago it was the 64 anniversary of my absolute favorite game show, To Tell the Truth. And I couldn't think of a better Christmas gift as well as a way to celebrate the anniversary than to unveil this episode of the daytime version of Bud Collyer's To Tell the Truth that likely hasn't been seen in over 50 years, since its airing on CBS on Thanksgiving day, November 23rd, 1967.
In game one, we have Bud Collyer's son, Mike, as a guest. The panel of Tom Poston, Peggy Cass, Orson Bean, and Kitty Carlisle, after grilling Mike with questions, are to try and identify his wife, Karen Collyer.
In game two, we have "Miss Drumstick" of 1967. This segment you've more than likely seen before, as the color videotape version of this segment not only survives, but has been posted on TH-cam elsewhere. Two special surprise celebrities are the imposters in this game!! See if you can figure out at least one of them before they reveal themselves.
Yeah, this is the Thanksgiving episode and you've likely seen the second half before. But since Thanksgiving and Christmas are so close together, it fits the spirit of the season IMO. And also the first half of this episode is such a fun gem that it makes the entire thing worth it!!
Enjoy, and thanks for being loyal subscribers. I don't go out of my way to plug this little channel everywhere besides making a tweet or forum post most of the time, so I appreciate how much word of mouth these uploads get.
This was meant to arrive to me earlier than now but with the way the world has been, the USPS has been slammed with delays over what has to have been a nightmare holiday season for them. Please be kind to postal employees this holiday. It must be an extremely thankless job. And I wish all the best for all of you not only this holiday season, but in 2021 as well.
