I am really disappointed how they ruined 25th celebration of GT. I have lost confidence in this gaming company and I will definitely not support them financially in the future. I really want to refund the game but I have no idea if it is possible with more than 20 h of game progress - any experiences?
The "Aways Online" is because of CHEATERS ! People on GT5 and 6 was modify save games and then play ONLINE !!! WITH all of the stuff obtained! So Sony decide to "protect" this to not happen again! For this is the ONLINE requerements , to check you save game if its ok or modified! I am totally agree with this ... in the end in this CENTURY , most of Us , we have internet at our homes and its not a issue at all! The other points like the Grinding...aswell its not so bad ... people complain because they dont want to Play long time to obtain all cars! Every day you can make milions of credits ... so in few months you will have EVERY car without using Microtransactions! Even its not need to grinding at same races! Just play game normally ... and you will have all in few months! PEople want all to collect in a week and for this are crying! I played GT5 for 3 years ... and have TONS of cash who cant use at all when i got ALL ! Here is the same ... but will take a bit more time... instead of a month to take all ...will take few... or a half a year! No point to be angry ... just enjoy the game and slowly you will have all cars!
@Erik Gonzalez the legendary cars aren't even the fastest cars in the game. They are just old rare car models (iconic). You can 100% buy a cheap car and compete with everyone if you tune if up. There's also BOP which balances all cars so people can compete with each other fair and square.

But not enough, try the Murciélago, you can barely see the track even if you switch your view to the highest position. I can't say many other cars, there isn't enough money to buy them...and of course I won't spend any more real money.

I can tolerate a lot of grinding, but there’s a special kind of pain when the game imposes a lot of pressure to grind within a very restrictive window because items rotate out on a regular basis, or have those annoying invites that prevent you from buying the car even if you DID have the money for it.
@@doctorsilva1345 To be clear, this depends on whether or not the content is actually worth grinding through, and the rewards are proportionate to the time and effort put in. In every other GT game, I grinded my ass off to get certain things, but I had lots more races available once I got the licenses, and the payouts were much much bigger.
Basically like old GT games where the used dealer always changes... Being a GT veteran i don't feel pressured at all as those car's will come again some time later.
The things I hate the most with this game are how linear the campaign mode is, as well as the insanely tiny amount of actual cars available. I imagine if you cut out the racing vehicles and needless variations on models, you'd have maybe 30 actual unique road cars total. Meanwhile, GT6 had just shy of 1200 cars and cutting them down the same way would leave more like 300-400 unique road cars.
This game has become a money grab, from the re introduction of bop races that has brought back the Meta car, so you're basically forced to get that car to be competitive in daily races or one make races that no longer supply the car you need to have, Nations cup is a fine example.
The third person camera doesn’t bother me because I don’t use it. The in game economy is blatantly designed to push MT, which is disgraceful and greedy. As for reflecting real world value of rare cars, the reason why they are so expensive is because of their provenance and place in motor sport history. In the case of the XJ13, a big reason why it’s so expensive, is that it is a one off prototype. None of that means a damned thing in a game. If PD truly think like that, I have a couple of Lowrys I’m willing to sell them, but only at a price that reflects the real value of the originals. The game sorely lacks a qualifying option, especially with rolling starts. I noticed at Spa, that when I crossed the start finish line, the lead car was halfway down the Kemmel Straight. The lead car also has the advantage of clear track, when I’m stuck in 4th at Eau Rouge, due to congestion, when I should be almost flat out. AI cars in podium places seem to find extra pace once you catch them up too.
not really as with patients you can get the car's the next time they are in there just like older GT games. Check out the plans for the next update MT are in GT since 6 and 20mil cars have bin around for longer tham that.
Yeah I totally agree on the camera part, when the game came out I thought the camera was garbage but I didn't want to talk about it because nobody else talked about it. This is the first time I see someone give genuine opinions and + respect from me

Story mode player here I hate this game. 13 hours and I can’t even play with the cars I want to yet. Not to mention that the physics of the game don’t make any sense when it comes to turns specifically. If you’re going 25MPH, a small gradual turn becomes almost impossible in the f***ing Ferrari F50. Turns that I can make in my Bucket Truck at 40MPH. It’s unbelievably bad. Wish I saw this video before I wasted my money on this giant piece of junk.
Sony is taking a hard line about returns/refunds on this game. If you've DOWNLOADED the game, they consider that to disqualify you from a refund. They should be refunding anyone who wants a refund after the server issues this week. And if the credits were $1 for 1 million credits, nobody would really complain. But at $10 per million, it's highway robbery.
I actually enjoy the game and don’t mind a grind, but this takes it to a whole new level. I can’t sell duplicate cars, roulette tickets are garbage, and there are not enough events in the game. Multiplayer payouts suck. I paid full price for this and I can’t enjoy it because it wants me to spend more money on micro transactions.
Nobody wants you to buy the micro. It's not EA or Ubi. I mean you will be tempted if you suck so you have the option. None of the whine this channel produced is an issue with usual GT crowd, the actual people capable of playing a game without rewind buttons or massively simplified gameplay.
I just returned my copy to GameStop, I was lucky they at least gave me back the full value in credit so I can buy another game. I never even got to play the game past the offline arcade mode thing, servers were always offline when I tried to play it.
GT7 is a absolutely amazing Game , especially with a wheel and on PS5 . Gameplay is top notch , but the fact that they cut the credits by 50% is disgusting. Fishermans Ranch Rally was already a long repetitive Grind, but 97.000 per 3 mins or so was doable and that was my hustle to get most of my cars and tune ups . But now the payout is only 45.000 with a clean race bonus, it's simply shocking how they did us all ... As someone who has limited time and has a life outside of GT7 , I'm now simply not going to be able to get most cars in game , and that's fact ... I for one will never ever pay a cent to them for microtransactions, but I admit I will keep playing cus I just love the game as a whole so damn much . I just love getting on my new wheel and taking out my fully done n pimped out RX-7 for a few Races , it just brings me too much joy . So I will keep my ass grinding n playing , but I'll never spend real $$$ on this game . I paid 98$ CDN and that's enough.
If you can bother to keep playing (I'm struggling myself) Sardegna - Windmills is now the best credit race. It's dirt/rally as well. Three laps, takes about 4min for the race, but it it pays out 45k (60k for clean bonus). So it takes about 50-60sec longer than Fishermans's, but pays out 33% more. Another good one if you have the Dodge/SRT Tomahawk road car is the first race in the Pan American championship. Just the Daytona oval for 6 laps and in the Tomahawk it's under 30sec per lap. Sardegna and Pan-Am are both right around 900-950k/hr, Fishermans is now 800k.

Love the driving, love the look/sound/feel of the cars (even if they are 95% the same ones we had in GTS and GT6) but man is there nothing to do once you finish Cafe and gold the licenses/missions. Trying to keep making at least 500k a day in case the Ford GT40 MK1 road car pops up but man is it getting boring, lol. At least the driving is good so taking a break from the grind to go hotlap an RX-7 or NSX helps break up the tedium. We need some the IB/IA/S races and some events/seasonal's ASAP.

I was a big big fan of gran turismo. Sport wasn't all that and 7 really suck. It feels like I waisted money. Played it for a few days and realized it's not going anywhere. No way to enjoy it while trying to buy that car you want. I will not ever spend money to play something I already bought. Done with this forever

GT7 is the worst racer I have ever played in my life . . . The car control is the most unrealistic physics engine I have ever used. Bring back gt sport get rid of the wobbly camera, the seaweed like grass is as unrealistic as it comes and why when you break in any other car than a gt2 or gt 1 does it like to throw you around the circuit. I have 100% the same complaints about this game... and if you are gt lover like me you will know that after gran turismo 5 that was like a mountain of gt we fall to the waterfall and feels like we are never go that high again. i payed 100€ and for me is like a beta to test before the actual gt7. I wish all player stop playing until they make it like gt5 otherwise we will get update every week with the same idiotic excuse ( fixed issues ) gt4 in playstation 2 never had update so how they do it then ? now they forgot ? or $$$$$$$$ but no game ?
Good points. And yeah that fact you can’t pan the camera around full 360 is a disgrace I remember on gt5 during car meets you just couldn’t look at the cars Trash developers
And this why I no longer played Gran Turismo. I switched to Forza and I haven't looked back since. At least on Forza not only you can play it offline but of you have game pass you get the game for free. Don't get me wrong Gran Turismo graphics are the best out there, but that's not even enough to stay with them and I'm so glad I didn't this game. I'm actually more excited about Forza Motorsport 8 than I am about Gran Turismo 7.
I actually bought GT7 and I paid $70.00 for the game which I was really excited to play but when I heard that Polyphony Digital went off line for almost 30 hours due to maintenance, I was really pissed off that I couldn’t play the game even offline. Not only that but when PD came back online, they made a 1.08 patch to the game and reduced the rewards for the races by almost 50% to gain credits which would meant that I would have to grind for several hours just to get the best cars in the game. Also they introduced micro transactions to the game to make additional purchases to buy the best cars which could cost you up to $40.00 which is ridiculous! I’m so upset about this game as it really had true potential to be one of the best games on the market only to be tarnished by absolute greed and steal more money from true gamers who actually enjoy this game but polyphony Digital want to make more profit for an expensive game that doesn’t do it justice! I will be returning GT7 to get a full refund because I’m not happy about this!

I got it for free for my birthday, ever since then I’ve loved it so much. The only thing that stopped me was menu book number 33, I didn’t know what to do.

I understand all the complaints about the greediness, but I also want to say that nowadays everyone wants instant gratification. The game hasn’t been out for a month but they want to have all the cars right now. Just relax, enjoy the game, things take time and if you don’t want to play it buy the DLC, it’s a choice not a must. The next GT it is not coming out in the next 6-7 years.
Its rated so low on metacritic I'll be suprised if there will be another Gran Turismo, think they have destroyed the franchise because I am very reluctant to buy GT 7 as I was a hard core fan going right back to GT 1 on the ps1

I don't even care about car prices, they can stay where they are IF they increase payouts or bring more content to the game that isn't as grindy. As it stands I can barely do the 27 miles to get my shitty, rigged roulette ticket.
I hate the endless "press X to continue" after you complete a race, im literally spamming X to be able to get back into the menu. Also, it is very hard to play on a controller for non car guys, it should be easy for new players, GT SPORT did that better. Thats all for me
Im not sure why you were expecting a arcade-type camera in a GT game as they've never included it going back to GT1. However, something feels overly "stiff" and lifeless with both chase cam and roof/hood cam. Chase cam, if you pause during a race, has settings that can be adjusted that does give it a little more "life". Not arcade/GTAV style, but at least it has a bit of movement. This same option does not appear for the hood cam, and that's the one I use the most. Otherwise, I couldn't agree more. Was really excited for this game and was convinced it would be worth it to buy it new on release as they were promising a return to the old GT formula that many of us fell in love with as kids. It has hints that it could have been that, but their laziness/cheapness in not bringing any cars from this decade in and essentially having the exact same car/track list as GT Sport is just insulting. Won't even get into the MTX and payments nerfs... I've deleted the game from my PS because of that bs combined with the fact that they didn't include 3/5 of the offline mode. We have all the licenses, but we only have National A/B class, no International A/B or Super class races at all. It's a beta... for $70...
I just think a bit more movement would feel a lot more fluid. Even after adjusting settings it still feels pretty stiff. But yeah, seems like a beta... for $70

It's definitely gotten better The only problems that I would see is when you're racing a world circuit how you always start in the back of the pack and if you are able to get up front it's not for long because no matter how hard you try a car will always pass you and win it's so infuriating it's almost like your car starts acting up it's weird
Besides the terrible gameplay structure GT has always had engine sounds that are awful, customization little to non existent, physics dont make any sense, vehicle selection limited to cars nobody cares about, lacking details and features. 1/10 game I wish I could get my 90$ back
GT7 is abomination of the GT series, cars are too expensive, cannot sell cars, cannot make money, predatory microtransactions, DRM junk, and the list goes on and on; garbage tier game. What sucks is driving through 20 cars to get to first place. Have qualifying laps. If the AI wasn't completely moronic, always trying to get into the racing line regardless if you're already there and ahead of them, it would be less frustrating. They're not even aggro, they just drive as if you're not even there.
This game just never, ever started. It just felt like being told to talk to these faceless NPCs and maybe getting to race, sometimes. With very-long load times, on the PS4.
I ended up selling it and reinstalling FH5, its the first ever PS5 game ive ever sold. For me it wasnt just the grind and always online. Visuals when looking at replay almost look photo real, but actually driving ingame the visuals are not that good and you also lack a fully 3D camera where you can pan around your car. Engine sounds can be fantastic but can also be horribly bad. Some american muscle cars sounded like something straight out of Commodore 64, and the tires screeching when drifting is also something that is very "generic". It sounds like a sound effect on a 2 second repeat. Then its the multiplayer where its a hassle to just get a race going. You enter a server, you need US car, 500 performance points max, specific tires. Ok so you need to back out, buy all that stuff (if you can afford it) then try to find the server again which most likely have already started and you have to find a new server with new conditions again. I know you can filter but come on! In FH5 you can just jump into any event in seconds and if you missing a car, you get a loaner! I hated the experience..................
you can take the screeching off i believe, but indeed it is very annoying that you have to go out of online to buy the parts that you need, it also happens to me in menu races where there is rain, since idk if its going to rain or not, so i take my racing softs, to then find out its raining, so i have to go out into the tuning shop and buy some inters or sport softs
How about you just wait for updates... It's barely a month old. They will up price money by 200% amd add new content next month. Seasonal events, track amd car's and so on.
There is so much that drags down the game, another thing to mention - the frigging terrible HUD. Like... Amazing graphics they want to cover with pointless info, huge info graphs, the location of other racers, tyre pressure, wind speed - it's all vomited over the screen. Please, for the love of god let us manipulate and resize the HUD a bit. The only options are on, off or 'racing info only', the last option is particularly annoying as it gets rid of your bottom HUD, but keeps the dumb top info. Let us do it the other way round at least! Argh! Small potato's next to the rest, but still - compare it to the simplicity of Forza that let's you admire the game and move the camera freely... (but ReAL RaCIng SiMUlaTor)
I can't understand how the developers of GT7 could get so few things right and so many things disgustingly wrong. Very few cars even feel like real cars, some even seem to be under completely different physics. They need to take "the real driving simulator" off the title because realism is completely out the window.
I've always liked the chase cam on GT because of its stiffness and lack of parasite features like motion blur and the car cam movement. Now, Im saying this a competitive player so the least distractions the better but I also agree that PD needs to add a option for those players who like a more arcadie chase cam like GTA or FH *especially* for drifting and Rally where you need to see diagonaly most of the time. Everything else I agree with especially the mtx fiasco, Kaz made me cringe with his apology when he said "In GT7 I would like to have users enjoy lots of cars and races *EVEN* without microtransactions." Yikes
When it comes to the tires, you are buying an infinite number of sets of those tires, so the tire price set in the game doesn't even matter. You get a free fresh set of tires at the start of every race and free replacements in the pits. This is seriously not a factor to consider about the game. The camera isn't a big deal either because it should be played in cockpit mode with a wheel anyway
i HATE the game is became, lame as fuck world tour instead of leagues with cups like it SHOULD be, and a childish menu that throws cars at you like candy. in all GT games sofar it took a while before you have a decent set of cars. the menu throws them at you and within an hour you'll have 50 cars already, just by picking your nose. the game is shit and the developers need to quit the compagny.
I totally regret WASTING my money on the deluxe pre order deal. All the stupid inane mashing of the x button. Who da fukk cares what this Lucas Bisch has to say. I wanted to race. Not go through all this ridiculous cafe collecting of complete crap cars that we can’t sell!!! Then being forced to use totally worthless cars that I will NEVER drive in a race. Sport was/is sooo much better. I wish I could get my money back.
The fact that you cant replay some of the story really sucks. You can do the tasks again, but you qont get the prize, and sometimes i just dont like what ive done to a car and want a fresh slate. I think Polyphony should change this feature. Id love to stockpile Camaros and not lose a single credit.
I agree with the fact that the game shouldn’t be cut off to you if you’re offline and everything is too expensive but not being able to control your car and saying this game is way too hard I feel like you’ve missed the point of a simulation game
At last ,you no I only use bonnet view snd it's awesome. As for not playing offline,we'll so what . I can't re memb a time ,maybe once ,when my broadband has dropped out in last 3 years .
I think it's great. To be honest I never drive outside the cockpit view. The camera stuff doesn't really bother me. Once I see what the vehicle looks like, I dont see it again unless I watch a replay. The money thing is bearable. It's about immersion. The feel of the race makes you want it more. Especially in online play. You know you have to be fast and good to really win. Grinding to get those parts makes it that much better...that's just me though. Also I think it depends on how you are playing the game. Are you all in with a cockpit and wheel setup?? Are you playing with a controller? Just that makes the game night and day.
Double dipping is more like it. You pay for console and game. Your right about the immersion though... they are in full wallet immersion. Bad trend that has to stop.

No 94' McLaren, where do i go to race single player? wy are the licenses so damn hard? and i do agree with the money, the payout is so small, they should just do away with the stupid daily wheel and pay the minimum 2k coins everyone gets.

I recently bought ea sports 2k23 golf. Many of us can’t connect to the ea server because of their mess. Can ONLY play a practice round offline which makes game a worthless ripoff. Should be illegal to do this to customers!!!
It's amazing that almost every time this game is shown, it's shown in the replay mode. Real gameplay looks like a late PS3 game... Everything about this game feels old. Except the microtransactions of course.
You can watch people who stream GT7 all the time, either live or afterwards. I see actual gameplay all the time, not just look at reviews. Far from ps3 game.
And you can definitely change the fov settings for cockpit etc and you can get a view out the side windows, I play on g29 and either left or right on the dpad makes you look left or right 🤷♂️
It sucks because the races feels like the opponents are cheating like on the Porsche collection and don’t get me started on the very bright weather where you get blinded can’t see a thing
Gran turismo has sucked for awhile. The AI is horrible, all the cars sound like crap, and everything is ridiculously expensive. Might as well just save up and modify an actual car IRL.
I just lapped 2-3 seconds faster than the leader in Am. Clubman Panorama in 4/5 laps, we had the same time in the other. I lost by 15.5 seconds. I beat 3rd place by 45 seconds. On NORMAL difficulty! That’s such dogshit!
I gave up on Gran Turismo from the last game they put out. The company has lost insight to what made the game great and now it's just focusing on money. It's safe to say at this point I'll never buy it they lost my business on the last one
Company knows perfectly what makes a good Gran Turismo and they stick to it. Just because some GTA kids can't handle it, doesn't mean it's not a great game. Steep starting curve gets rid of most of the bumpercar racers before they even reach online. It's amazing game but you have to drop your GTA or Forza expectations. It's not a game for loud kids.

The GT series has been outdated since FM came along. It was cutting edge for it's day, but Forza Motorsport (not Horizon - which sucks IMO) is all-around better.
@Sinista it's bad in terms of loot crates and T10 pulling the rug out from under it, I agree. But gameplay wise it still kills GT7. FM just feels faster and more fluid. When FM8 hits SX hopefully they won't make the same mistakes.

@Erik Gonzalez the legendary cars aren't even the fastest cars in the game. They are just old rare car models (iconic). You can 100% buy a cheap car and compete with everyone if you tune if up. There's also BOP which balances all cars so people can compete with each other fair and square.

But not enough, try the Murciélago, you can barely see the track even if you switch your view to the highest position. I can't say many other cars, there isn't enough money to buy them...and of course I won't spend any more real money.

I can tolerate a lot of grinding, but there’s a special kind of pain when the game imposes a lot of pressure to grind within a very restrictive window because items rotate out on a regular basis, or have those annoying invites that prevent you from buying the car even if you DID have the money for it.

@@doctorsilva1345 To be clear, this depends on whether or not the content is actually worth grinding through, and the rewards are proportionate to the time and effort put in. In every other GT game, I grinded my ass off to get certain things, but I had lots more races available once I got the licenses, and the payouts were much much bigger.
Basically like old GT games where the used dealer always changes... Being a GT veteran i don't feel pressured at all as those car's will come again some time later.
Honestly ive just let my pc play it for me while I do other stuff no way I'm paying for mtx lol.
The things I hate the most with this game are how linear the campaign mode is, as well as the insanely tiny amount of actual cars available. I imagine if you cut out the racing vehicles and needless variations on models, you'd have maybe 30 actual unique road cars total. Meanwhile, GT6 had just shy of 1200 cars and cutting them down the same way would leave more like 300-400 unique road cars.

This game has become a money grab, from the re introduction of bop races that has brought back the Meta car, so you're basically forced to get that car to be competitive in daily races or one make races that no longer supply the car you need to have, Nations cup is a fine example.

The third person camera doesn’t bother me because I don’t use it.
The in game economy is blatantly designed to push MT, which is disgraceful and greedy.
As for reflecting real world value of rare cars, the reason why they are so expensive is because of their provenance and place in motor sport history. In the case of the XJ13, a big reason why it’s so expensive, is that it is a one off prototype.
None of that means a damned thing in a game.
If PD truly think like that, I have a couple of Lowrys I’m willing to sell them, but only at a price that reflects the real value of the originals.
The game sorely lacks a qualifying option, especially with rolling starts.
I noticed at Spa, that when I crossed the start finish line, the lead car was halfway down the Kemmel Straight. The lead car also has the advantage of clear track, when I’m stuck in 4th at Eau Rouge, due to congestion, when I should be almost flat out.
AI cars in podium places seem to find extra pace once you catch them up too.

I hate this game. 13 hours and I can’t even play with the cars I want to yet. Not to mention that the physics of the game don’t make any sense when it comes to turns specifically. If you’re going 25MPH, a small gradual turn becomes almost impossible in the f***ing Ferrari F50. Turns that I can make in my Bucket Truck at 40MPH. It’s unbelievably bad. Wish I saw this video before I wasted my money on this giant piece of junk.
I miss being able to sell prize cars you didn't want or need, now all you can do is just remove them from your garage.
Sony is taking a hard line about returns/refunds on this game. If you've DOWNLOADED the game, they consider that to disqualify you from a refund. They should be refunding anyone who wants a refund after the server issues this week.
And if the credits were $1 for 1 million credits, nobody would really complain. But at $10 per million, it's highway robbery.

I actually enjoy the game and don’t mind a grind, but this takes it to a whole new level. I can’t sell duplicate cars, roulette tickets are garbage, and there are not enough events in the game. Multiplayer payouts suck. I paid full price for this and I can’t enjoy it because it wants me to spend more money on micro transactions.

I just returned my copy to GameStop, I was lucky they at least gave me back the full value in credit so I can buy another game. I never even got to play the game past the offline arcade mode thing, servers were always offline when I tried to play it.

GT7 is a absolutely amazing Game , especially with a wheel and on PS5 . Gameplay is top notch , but the fact that they cut the credits by 50% is disgusting. Fishermans Ranch Rally was already a long repetitive Grind, but 97.000 per 3 mins or so was doable and that was my hustle to get most of my cars and tune ups . But now the payout is only 45.000 with a clean race bonus, it's simply shocking how they did us all ... As someone who has limited time and has a life outside of GT7 , I'm now simply not going to be able to get most cars in game , and that's fact ... I for one will never ever pay a cent to them for microtransactions, but I admit I will keep playing cus I just love the game as a whole so damn much . I just love getting on my new wheel and taking out my fully done n pimped out RX-7 for a few Races , it just brings me too much joy . So I will keep my ass grinding n playing , but I'll never spend real $$$ on this game . I paid 98$ CDN and that's enough.
If you can bother to keep playing (I'm struggling myself) Sardegna - Windmills is now the best credit race. It's dirt/rally as well. Three laps, takes about 4min for the race, but it it pays out 45k (60k for clean bonus). So it takes about 50-60sec longer than Fishermans's, but pays out 33% more. Another good one if you have the Dodge/SRT Tomahawk road car is the first race in the Pan American championship. Just the Daytona oval for 6 laps and in the Tomahawk it's under 30sec per lap. Sardegna and Pan-Am are both right around 900-950k/hr, Fishermans is now 800k.

Love the driving, love the look/sound/feel of the cars (even if they are 95% the same ones we had in GTS and GT6) but man is there nothing to do once you finish Cafe and gold the licenses/missions. Trying to keep making at least 500k a day in case the Ford GT40 MK1 road car pops up but man is it getting boring, lol. At least the driving is good so taking a break from the grind to go hotlap an RX-7 or NSX helps break up the tedium.
We need some the IB/IA/S races and some events/seasonal's ASAP.

And also didn't do missions yet , but I do think they will be adding more content soon enough , at least I hope . Another thing, maybe u can help me out since I can't find this damn car anywhere. Do u know how to get the WRX STI 98 version ? Does that car come into the used lot ?? My used car lot has not changed in about a week now , and it's so pathetic as is already... I was a big big fan of gran turismo. Sport wasn't all that and 7 really suck. It feels like I waisted money. Played it for a few days and realized it's not going anywhere. No way to enjoy it while trying to buy that car you want. I will not ever spend money to play something I already bought. Done with this forever

Bring back gt sport get rid of the wobbly camera, the seaweed like grass is as unrealistic as it comes and why when you break in any other car than a gt2 or gt 1 does it like to throw you around the circuit. I have 100% the same complaints about this game... and if you are gt lover like me you will know that after gran turismo 5 that was like a mountain of gt we fall to the waterfall and feels like we are never go that high again. i payed 100€ and for me is like a beta to test before the actual gt7. I wish all player stop playing until they make it like gt5 otherwise we will get update every week with the same idiotic excuse ( fixed issues ) gt4 in playstation 2 never had update so how they do it then ? now they forgot ? or $$$$$$$$ but no game ?

And this why I no longer played Gran Turismo. I switched to Forza and I haven't looked back since. At least on Forza not only you can play it offline but of you have game pass you get the game for free. Don't get me wrong Gran Turismo graphics are the best out there, but that's not even enough to stay with them and I'm so glad I didn't this game. I'm actually more excited about Forza Motorsport 8 than I am about Gran Turismo 7.
I actually bought GT7 and I paid $70.00 for the game which I was really excited to play but when I heard that Polyphony Digital went off line for almost 30 hours due to maintenance, I was really pissed off that I couldn’t play the game even offline. Not only that but when PD came back online, they made a 1.08 patch to the game and reduced the rewards for the races by almost 50% to gain credits which would meant that I would have to grind for several hours just to get the best cars in the game. Also they introduced micro transactions to the game to make additional purchases to buy the best cars which could cost you up to $40.00 which is ridiculous! I’m so upset about this game as it really had true potential to be one of the best games on the market only to be tarnished by absolute greed and steal more money from true gamers who actually enjoy this game but polyphony Digital want to make more profit for an expensive game that doesn’t do it justice! I will be returning GT7 to get a full refund because I’m not happy about this!

The game hasn’t been out for a month but they want to have all the cars right now. Just relax, enjoy the game, things take time and if you don’t want to play it buy the DLC, it’s a choice not a must. The next GT it is not coming out in the next 6-7 years.

I hate the endless "press X to continue" after you complete a race, im literally spamming X to be able to get back into the menu. Also, it is very hard to play on a controller for non car guys, it should be easy for new players, GT SPORT did that better. Thats all for me

Im not sure why you were expecting a arcade-type camera in a GT game as they've never included it going back to GT1. However, something feels overly "stiff" and lifeless with both chase cam and roof/hood cam. Chase cam, if you pause during a race, has settings that can be adjusted that does give it a little more "life". Not arcade/GTAV style, but at least it has a bit of movement. This same option does not appear for the hood cam, and that's the one I use the most.
Otherwise, I couldn't agree more. Was really excited for this game and was convinced it would be worth it to buy it new on release as they were promising a return to the old GT formula that many of us fell in love with as kids. It has hints that it could have been that, but their laziness/cheapness in not bringing any cars from this decade in and essentially having the exact same car/track list as GT Sport is just insulting. Won't even get into the MTX and payments nerfs... I've deleted the game from my PS because of that bs combined with the fact that they didn't include 3/5 of the offline mode. We have all the licenses, but we only have National A/B class, no International A/B or Super class races at all. It's a beta... for $70...
I just think a bit more movement would feel a lot more fluid. Even after adjusting settings it still feels pretty stiff. But yeah, seems like a beta... for $70

What sucks is driving through 20 cars to get to first place. Have qualifying laps. If the AI wasn't completely moronic, always trying to get into the racing line regardless if you're already there and ahead of them, it would be less frustrating. They're not even aggro, they just drive as if you're not even there.

This game just never, ever started. It just felt like being told to talk to these faceless NPCs and maybe getting to race, sometimes. With very-long load times, on the PS4.
I ended up selling it and reinstalling FH5, its the first ever PS5 game ive ever sold. For me it wasnt just the grind and always online. Visuals when looking at replay almost look photo real, but actually driving ingame the visuals are not that good and you also lack a fully 3D camera where you can pan around your car. Engine sounds can be fantastic but can also be horribly bad. Some american muscle cars sounded like something straight out of Commodore 64, and the tires screeching when drifting is also something that is very "generic". It sounds like a sound effect on a 2 second repeat. Then its the multiplayer where its a hassle to just get a race going. You enter a server, you need US car, 500 performance points max, specific tires. Ok so you need to back out, buy all that stuff (if you can afford it) then try to find the server again which most likely have already started and you have to find a new server with new conditions again. I know you can filter but come on! In FH5 you can just jump into any event in seconds and if you missing a car, you get a loaner! I hated the experience..................
you can take the screeching off i believe, but indeed it is very annoying that you have to go out of online to buy the parts that you need, it also happens to me in menu races where there is rain, since idk if its going to rain or not, so i take my racing softs, to then find out its raining, so i have to go out into the tuning shop and buy some inters or sport softs
How about you just wait for updates... It's barely a month old. They will up price money by 200% amd add new content next month. Seasonal events, track amd car's and so on.

There is so much that drags down the game, another thing to mention - the frigging terrible HUD.
Like... Amazing graphics they want to cover with pointless info, huge info graphs, the location of other racers, tyre pressure, wind speed - it's all vomited over the screen.
Please, for the love of god let us manipulate and resize the HUD a bit. The only options are on, off or 'racing info only', the last option is particularly annoying as it gets rid of your bottom HUD, but keeps the dumb top info. Let us do it the other way round at least! Argh!
Small potato's next to the rest, but still - compare it to the simplicity of Forza that let's you admire the game and move the camera freely... (but ReAL RaCIng SiMUlaTor)
I can't understand how the developers of GT7 could get so few things right and so many things disgustingly wrong. Very few cars even feel like real cars, some even seem to be under completely different physics. They need to take "the real driving simulator" off the title because realism is completely out the window.

I've always liked the chase cam on GT because of its stiffness and lack of parasite features like motion blur and the car cam movement. Now, Im saying this a competitive player so the least distractions the better but I also agree that PD needs to add a option for those players who like a more arcadie chase cam like GTA or FH *especially* for drifting and Rally where you need to see diagonaly most of the time.
Everything else I agree with especially the mtx fiasco, Kaz made me cringe with his apology when he said "In GT7 I would like to have users enjoy lots of cars and races *EVEN* without microtransactions." Yikes

When it comes to the tires, you are buying an infinite number of sets of those tires, so the tire price set in the game doesn't even matter. You get a free fresh set of tires at the start of every race and free replacements in the pits. This is seriously not a factor to consider about the game. The camera isn't a big deal either because it should be played in cockpit mode with a wheel anyway
This game is so bad that it makes The Crew 2, (a Ubisoft title!!) look like a master piece.
The biggest problem is the car collection. There are not enough road cars

The fact that you cant replay some of the story really sucks. You can do the tasks again, but you qont get the prize, and sometimes i just dont like what ive done to a car and want a fresh slate. I think Polyphony should change this feature. Id love to stockpile Camaros and not lose a single credit.

I think it's great. To be honest I never drive outside the cockpit view. The camera stuff doesn't really bother me. Once I see what the vehicle looks like, I dont see it again unless I watch a replay. The money thing is bearable. It's about immersion. The feel of the race makes you want it more. Especially in online play. You know you have to be fast and good to really win. Grinding to get those parts makes it that much better...that's just me though. Also I think it depends on how you are playing the game. Are you all in with a cockpit and wheel setup?? Are you playing with a controller? Just that makes the game night and day.

For me I’m willing to tolerate all of the in game problems but the biggest for me is the car sounds they are just horrible
I agree, i want my money back lol, there's no VR tour, i cant sell my cars, i have to go thru the stupid car collection, noone wants to collect cars that they are no interested in, why do i have to collect the minis? it also seems like they just copied the cars from GT sport over to GT 7, the F1 cars are the exact same. No 94' McLaren, where do i go to race single player? wy are the licenses so damn hard? and i do agree with the money, the payout is so small, they should just do away with the stupid daily wheel and pay the minimum 2k coins everyone gets.

You are sort of buying a lifetime subscription of tyres though (you don’t have to pay to change your tyres at pit stops) so maybe the price makes sense? 😅

I recently bought ea sports 2k23 golf. Many of us can’t connect to the ea server because of their mess. Can ONLY play a practice round offline which makes game a worthless ripoff. Should be illegal to do this to customers!!!
It's amazing that almost every time this game is shown, it's shown in the replay mode. Real gameplay looks like a late PS3 game... Everything about this game feels old. Except the microtransactions of course.

You can watch people who stream GT7 all the time, either live or afterwards. I see actual gameplay all the time, not just look at reviews. Far from ps3 game.
And you can definitely change the fov settings for cockpit etc and you can get a view out the side windows, I play on g29 and either left or right on the dpad makes you look left or right 🤷♂️

I just lapped 2-3 seconds faster than the leader in Am. Clubman Panorama in 4/5 laps, we had the same time in the other. I lost by 15.5 seconds. I beat 3rd place by 45 seconds. On NORMAL difficulty! That’s such dogshit!
I gave up on Gran Turismo from the last game they put out. The company has lost insight to what made the game great and now it's just focusing on money. It's safe to say at this point I'll never buy it they lost my business on the last one
Company knows perfectly what makes a good Gran Turismo and they stick to it. Just because some GTA kids can't handle it, doesn't mean it's not a great game. Steep starting curve gets rid of most of the bumpercar racers before they even reach online. It's amazing game but you have to drop your GTA or Forza expectations. It's not a game for loud kids.

The GT series has been outdated since FM came along.
It was cutting edge for it's day, but Forza Motorsport (not Horizon - which sucks IMO) is all-around better.
FM7 is one of the worst racing games of today's generation though.
@Sinista it's bad in terms of loot crates and T10 pulling the rug out from under it, I agree. But gameplay wise it still kills GT7. FM just feels faster and more fluid. When FM8 hits SX hopefully they won't make the same mistakes.
@@Pete1230 FM7's awful physics, lack of track limits or penalty systems and horrendous multiplayer combined with the joke of a career mode makes me lean towards GT7 still being a better game.
