We have a cat 980M, 7000 ish hours on it and have been little problems with it, but the operators hate it. Bad comfort and have some other problems with weak tilt on the bucket. We also have a 220H Volvo. Operators like driving it, but much more problems. The Volvo loaders we have had after 10.000 hours it's nothing left of them. And it's rather easy work in a gravel pit. If up to me we should try a Komatsu. Or Ljungby loader.

I prefer how cat has the FNR switch on the inside and you use your thumb instead of your pinky I find it much more comfy that way. Also like cat, I prefer the first two joysticks your main ones and the third one being AUX. and of course, Cat’s Joystick steering is hands down the best thing you’ve ever felt. It’s truly something you need to try just for the experience.
I agree I own a cat 930g and it’s older but surprisingly great technology cat is definitely in my opinion the most reliable engines and Machinery And definitely have some of the best control options😁.

Company I work for bought a w380 as part of a package deal and returned that loader a week later. It was horrible in the mud. U couldn't steer your self out of it. Steering would lock up so considering we install sewers in mud . It was useless. The cat 950m is an all around beast. Komatsu makes some awesome trim dozers. We have 6 of those.
I live in Hartland NB where Craig's started from worked there in high school and now as a operator love there stuff. I actually get to try out some of there new stuff from time to time. Just buy it!

I spent a year and a half running a 320 for a pipe crew before getting a Cat 938. The Komatsu was a nice enough loader but I've never been a huge fan of the cab. The doors don't swing flat against the machine so if you are roading the machine with the doors open and hit a wet spot the entire door gets covered in crap. The ergonomics of the controls were never as nice as other machines. There's far less room in the cab of a Komatsu than that of a Cat or a Case loader. The menu setup for the screen is clumsy being off to the side and independent of the screen. Overall the cab is just not put together well (in my opinion). My only other complaint is that the Komatsu felt like it needed more ass. I was able to lift trench boxes with the Cat that were standing the Komatsu on it's front tires. Finally, you might check to see if they are running a DPF alongside the SCR. If so, look at another machine. I know Case only runs an SCR and has managed to ditch the DPF. I'm not sure if Cat has managed to do the same. Nice video and good luck on whatever you guys decide to do! It's hard to beat playing in a new machine for a few days.

Yeah I wasn’t very impressed with the ride of the cat, vision in the Komatsu while loading trucks was better also. Z bar was right in the way on the cat. In cab vision on the cat was better though. I put a couple hundred hours on each recently. Also didn’t dig the cat joystick either, rather my levers

if you are buying it and if it does not have an auto greaser on it . get an auto lube system on it and it will be the best investment you will make and keep the machine as tight as new for years.
Great vid! Hit up your Cat dealer and try a 962M with joytstick controls. Pretty convenient having the Komatsu dealer next-door but maybe a Cat demo will at least help lower the Komatsu price. I bet you'll like the Cat better too.

Just but it , it's only money 💰. You can't take it with you. Nice we run JD 544, JD 644 simuler ours has code to start machine. At the end of the day they load trucks.

No this one doesn’t. They start with scales at the 480 I believe but I’m sure with more money I could get installed

the diesel fill point is just behind the fender so I don't think the fender should be too in the way maybe I've never seen one in person
