Chicken scratch turned into a Cata pillar, chicken scratch turned into every machine that built America. I love chicken scratch. 😊 great video Matt. Your chicken scratch turned into a strong base for a wonderful drill press. You do great stuff so it is only natural that you are getting new subs.
Great video, The design and thought process for the frame was really great. Look forward to more on the drill press. Catching up on videos right now. Been super busy with other things. Be safe and stay well.
Good morning Matt ☕☕☕ Just had to have spare parts 😆😂 It happens... A little noise is fine, especially when it's not continuously running.. Looks good to me!!!
I picked up a great pro tip from you Matt. Using the needle scaler to knock off the slag. You should do a pro tip on that. I never thought of that. Those Evolution saws are great! I don’t have one but I’ve used Arco’s before. Such a nice cut. The drill press will be a real masterpiece. It’s been a great project to follow. Thanks!!
@@EdgeofEternityBillCameron I don’t have the grip I used to have for a slag hammer so the needle scaler is a must. It’s faster too! Thanks as always Bill!
Once I get my new shop cabinets and overhead storage installed, I'm bringing in the Farmall H. It has been neglected for far too long. I gotta take a crack at that Chinese diesel engine too!
Don't feel bad about how long it takes. I am on my 3rd year with the Clausing 5913 lathe. Just a couple of weeks away from putting her Wedding Dress on.
Yep The base should work out awesomely. 👍

@@MillCreekFabShop Thanks Joey. I guess I better get going on stickers. I don’t know about merch yet, but we’ll see.
@@mattthescrapwhisperer I want a sticker. I will buy a T shirt. Took me a minute on my merch link but I figured it out.
Great Job Matt! Your Welding area is awesome!
Thanks Kev. Like everything else around here it's all scrap!
Matt, when that project is finished it will be priceless, a piece of art, definitely a masterpiece
Many thanks Jan. I am looking forward to lots of drilling with it.

Plus it helps to peen the weld and reduce shrinkage and stresses if you do it immediately after you run a bead.
@@hilltopmachineworks2131 True! Thanks Tom
A mobile drill press. Now that will be awesome.
That's the plan!
your getting closer Matt , 40 plus great videos and more to come, enjoyed all of them, do we get to vote on the next project? thanks Matt

A very intense project.
I remember when it seemed like a coin toss which project you would pick next..... I'm glad you picked the tough one.
I must say, it's beginning to try my patience, but that's true of any long term project. The payoff is when it's all finished which is coming soon.
@@mattthescrapwhisperer ...and just think...You'll finally be able to drill that entrance hole for a bird house.
It will all have been worth it.

Hi Gary!
Noisy or not that motor will be great on the drill press.
@@RustyGlovebox It is a beast. Thanks Lloyd!
yeah, I really like my evolution saw, much cleaner and fast
The blades are pricey but if you watch for sales, you can get a twofer for the price of one. Thanks Vernon!
