Thanks!! You're welcome!!
nice truck - enjoyed the video and music
Looking good. Been awhile since that old girl has been run through the gears. I think Calvin Eden hauled grain with it in 06. Nice to see it back on the road.
It runs like a champ!
Heck yeah brother what a great old truck, this will be awesome in some parades with kids throwing candy and letting some old timers watch this truck drive by. Great work brother you rock
Thanks man. It's pretty cool seeing the reactions from the older generations!
@@smokengearsgarage it is big time when I was towing our 62 impala it was wild seeing people follow the car thy are such a incredible time capsule, so many memories with these Classics. Feels surreal to bring them back to life.
Good video, but did you leave old greasy brake shoes there?
Do you know where that truck came out of. The metal that raps around mine has that same design as my 55. Was just wondering if it was just a common bed material or a specific bed builder. Also where did you get your wheel cylinders?
My truck came from Iowa. Actually, I bought it one town over from where it was sold new. I believe the bed is an Omaha Standard. I purchased the wheel cylinders and master cylinder from chevsofthe40s.com. Great folks over there.
Nice ole truck ! Where did you find your wheel cylinders ?
Thanks!!! Chevsofthe40s.com is where I got the wheel cylinders.
I've been working on a 1948 Loadmaster 1 1/2 ton truck and I could find everything for the rear brakes except the rear main seals. Where were you able to find those?
I believe I was able to get a number off of the ones I removed, and the parts store was able to cross them over to a new part number. That store is no longer in business. I could try and look back in my files and try to find a part number.
@@smokengearsgarage If you could that would be great but if you can't no worries
What size rear tires are you running?
8.25 - 20
I noticed youre in Wisconsin. So am I. Do you still have the truck? I just picked up a 2 ton in the same color.
Yes sir. Still have it
@@smokengearsgarage nice. I lowered mine and in the process of dropping a LS in it.
Where's your jack stand? NEVER trust a hydraulic jack!!!!
