Throughout Phase 2, I’ve been getting a lot of gear-related questions from players, like which gear is best for their class and what is the easiest way to obtain it. In this video, I will try to clarify all aspects of these dilemmas and shed light on the key factors that must be considered when making gear decisions.
Ashes of Creation MMORPG is an ambitious project by Intrepid Studios that is led by Steven Sharif. It aims to redefine the MMO genre by offering a truly dynamic and player-driven experience. At the heart of its vision is the concept of a living, breathing world where every decision players make has a lasting impact on the game environment. The game features a unique node system, deep crafting and economy mechanics, PvP & PvE elements, 8 archetypes and 64 classes, naval content, castle sieges and many other awesome in-game systems. The world of Verra is designed to be immersive, with a rich lore, intricate political systems, and deep crafting and economy mechanics that cater to both casual players and hardcore enthusiasts alike. Starting on October 25, you will be able to enjoy the gameplay firsthand by taking part in Ashes of Creation Alpha 2.

Great introduction to the topic. Could we get more general info though? Why would I pick a light, heavy, or medium weight class for each archetype. How does each attribute effect each archetype or weapon. Are there diminishing returns on attribute points, and so I need to hit certain values to unlock different attribute perks?
1. You prioritize the armor stats, not the armor type, unless you have a strong reason to do so. Switching 1 piece of gear to get an extra set bonus might be worth it, but it depends on the gear rarity (as armor type set bonuses scale depending on rarity)
2. Core attributes do not affect archetype and/or weapons. Core attributes are important because each one of them affects 3 secondary (aka waterfall) stats. You can see that if you click "H" and hover your mouse over stat name "Strength", "Dexterity" etc.
3. I haven't heard or seen any diminishing returns and you don't have to hit certain stat values (like you had in New World, for example)
Was just talking to some one aabout ashes vieos and theres 1000s of drama and back and forth but very little quality content about builds and ar,or set ups. TY
You are very welcome, kind Sir
As a soloish casual, I've finally completed my placeholder +6 armor and +8 jewelry set. Doubt I'll ever be able to craft or attain anything beyond this ;(
That's pretty decent for a solo player. Why don't you want to join a guild though?
I guess I have no real reason not to. Wouldn't mind finding a good casual guild. Nice video man.
Thank you mate! Good luck
but the video and information i like
unlucky on the 7-8 enchant, but you're already OP, rnjesus saw fit to keep you one step closer to us peasants. Great guide!
Thank you

You described things as "easy to craft", but looking across your whole gear set, it looked like you needed Apprentice level in far more professions than the maximum of five. Which professions did you have yourself and which did you count on guildmates or friends for?
My primary skills are Lumberjacking / Lumber Milling / Carpenty / Herbalism. But yeah, of course you need to interact with other players to craft items
@@FlankerAOC OK, that makes sense, I was afraid I was missing something. I've also gone with Lumberjacking, Lumber Milling, Carpentry, but with Mining and Stonemasonry. They're good, but you just can't solo craft much. I do think that's intended and a good thing for the game. By the way, I highly recommend folks watch your Enchanting video, it was great!
@KorathalJones thank you! Yeah, I don't mind it as well, as it requires you to make connections and interact with other people
With the server down until Thursday, I'm going to work my way through your process. If anyone has thoughts about whether a solo leveling Mage should go with Light, Medium or Heavy armor (assuming it's not obvious once I work through Ashes Codex), I love to hear them.
Hey Flanker! Would you willing to help me to hook up with your trainer. I got a protectors pride, but cant train it. :( Thanks.
Check out Lotharia discord server, there are people offering services there
JM scribe doesn't sell JM enchanting scrolls
Just found that out too as well. However, you can buy JM scrolls for node currency, from what I heard
@@FlankerAOC you can, its quite a lot at the moment, almost 500, but they are attainable. i'd assume this gets adjusted since the effort required for that many is a lot of hours.
The primary way to obtain them will be scribing anyway I guess
Well, darn. I'm just gonna wait for the game to actually come out. In 2027, or whenever, these things could all change.
Of course, there will be many changes over time
This guy is funny .. He failed with his own "HC" group and his "HC" guild. Joined the biggest zerg guild on the server to have free world bosses and caravans and then "flex" with his gear .. Yeah, thats all
KEKW my whole group joined the guild, but yeah, you can keep believing whatever you believe
