hey i just want to say THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO. i have been trying to see how and where to start and go into using software in my worship piano. There are so many videos but all of them are so difficult to understand. This video has been sooo helpful. THANK YOU
You should make a Sunday Keys With Keyscape & Omnisphere brother, imagine using the rhodes from keyscape & Acoustic Pianos aswell and pads from Omnisphere.
I have been using Mainstage with Omnisphere -(its what is the best setup for our church but others may find Abelton Live better for them so your bringing up great points) --and I use awesome products such as Sunday keys for a few years now for sure buy yeah this is a very good video for many people starting out as I remember the earlier stages when starting out so keep up the GREAT work there man like totally good stuff you guys put out
Hello thank you for your video! I am trying to set this up on a M1 Macbook air. It doesn't have a headphone jack and I am not sure I want to buy an interface thing yet but I do have this midi to USB interface cord already. What would you use to then hook the sound up to speakers at chuch?
I can't get sound out from the mainstage version of Sunday keys. The same equipment I get sound using the Ipad version of Sunday keys. What could possibly be the issue?
12:10 That second with only DI box ,Is it good to use only DI box ? Does it not gonna interupt the Worship ? Cause I watch ChurchFront they just only use DI box through mixer ?Thanks :D.
This is how we are currently running our keys rig at our church and it works just fine! :) But as David mentioned, there are some great benefits to adding an audio interface when the budget permits. I actually re-looked up this video because I am about to add one to my rig. And also, MAKE SURE TO TURN ON 'DO NOT DISTURB'. Otherwise you might end up on a worship fails video! ;)
Do you know a safe driver link for casio PriviaI? I was not able to find a driver for my Casio Privia PX-575R that the MacBook would allow to install because is not from a trusted website. The mainstage, MacBook air and cables did work with the Yamaha Motif from church, but I was not able to conect with my Casio Privia at home.
Thanks, What specific DI box are you referring to? Standard DI for instruments or those specific for Laptop/ multimedia use? (Samson MCD2, Radial Pro AV1)
Sunday Keys 2021 is amazing but one main downside I’ve seen is that the EP Piano needs and update like asap, stock EP from main-stage 3 is so outdated that it needs and update.
What cable can you recommend from Audio interface stereo output going into a DI mono only? Because there’s just only one room left in main FOH console. Thanks 🙏
How do you exactly connect your laptop to the main mixer thru your headphone jack? I saw that you use a 3.5mm jack to a two pl jack (im not sure) how do u exactly did that?
Hi david and all folks here, If i already have audio interface, to connect mixer console, can we just connect directly from audio interface out to mixer console using 1/4” to XLR cable instead (so not using DI box) ?
I was trying to use some vsts on my Mac book pro… but just end up getting a headache…. It sounds really good with my headphones at home when I practice but when I take my lab top to the church and go thru the system it has a lot of static and sounds cheap…. 🤦🏽♂️ I have this really nice keyscape piano that I really wish I can use! I literally looked it up everywhere on the internet but just end up with a headache
Hi, I have a question 🙋🏻♂️ in time 12:11 from Interface to DI box using TS cable is possible? Because my Interface is balanced output, supposed to connect TRS cable. Or it is fine to connect TS cable? I’m just worried I will harm my church Mixer, thanks for help.
Hi, I am am Indian keyboard player and following you from this year. Please suggest me the best DAW on windows for live in stage also playing Indian vst's. I already have a free Ableton live lite is it enough for my requirements.
Hi Eric, thanks for your purchase! You should first review the SK video tutorials included in your download, specifically the video on connecting your keyboard: sundaysounds.com/skstart If you're still having trouble after that please reach out to us to request support: sundaysounds.com/contact
A DI (Direct Box) is not always necessary, but is a good idea and removes some potential hum. A good DI also protects both sides and eliminates noise. It may be unnecessary, but is good to have on hand in case you need it. As long as your XLR outs on the keyboard have a ground lift you don’t need a DI box. Powered audio sources like keyboards and audio interfaces should use passive DIs. Quality passive DI transformers transmit the audio spectrum faithfully but dampen other frequencies. They block DC current from dodgy circuitry. They limit transient noise, like when plugging/unplugging, and they clip too-hot signals in a pleasant way. The cheapest solution for hum is to use a direct box with a ground lift switch engaged.
you have to first add faders to the workspace, then assign your hardware to those faders, then create mappings to those faders. We cover this and much more in our free MainStage Basics Course: sundaysounds.com/pages/mainstage-basics-course
You can set up most midi keyboards with a USB cable. You might also like to check out our free MainStage Basics Course here: sundaysounds.com/mainstage-basics-course
VSTs are the bane of quality sound. No real dynamics, just cookie cutter sounds with a very narrow range. I'm gonna pass. Sounds like every "worship" band these days. That is a path all it's own. VST's sound fake. Controllers have horrible feel on top of that. No good keybeds out there as I have tried them all. I run this type of VST setup with hard synths live at my working gigs. The Synths absolutely out perform sounds on VSTs. KRONOS, MONTAGE is where the players keyboards are at! Nice service you provide on guidance with playing within the sterile environment though. Great for beginners. Bring back the old school!!! PS: we skip the first 30 minutes of service...................

Nice! Is that a Fender Rodes I see in the back?! Sweet

What’s the workflow for zoom using midi and audio for let’s say classes or live performance on a live stream

David, what to do when the layout for any reason, (accident or not) messed up the Sundays keys layout, how can it be reverted?

You can use something like this to connect: www.amazon.com/Hosa-CMP-153-Stereo-Breakout-Cable/dp/B000068O3C
Hi david and all folks here,

You could, although we would recommend a DI box.
I'm an athiest and I appreciate this info.
lol 😂
hi David i need the link to download my SK 2021

could be a bad cable. we would recommend using an audio interface and balanced cables to get your keys sounds from your computer to the sound board.

@@danilo-ribeiro-cortes Thanks. I will try more on it.
What DI Box should I buy?
I just started, have main stage and an apple laptop so how do I access the patches?
You can find patches under "Instrument" after you choose View > Show Inspectors from the menus.
How can I purchase the app am from Papua New Guinea
I just got Sunday Keys and it was working. But now i tried to use it again and i am having trouble getting the midi board to work w it again

Hi, please explain why you using a di box to send to front of house. Can't you send the line output from the focusrite to front of house
You can use a line output but if it's unbalanced you might get interference.
@12:13 Which is the best option to connect keyboard to mac, 1 or 3??
Can you show all the cable that we need
What would be really helpful
Any suggestions for a D.I Box that is good for this setup? thanks Man.
Anything from Radial
Can i use YAMAHA PSR E410 to the SUNDAY KEYS ?
Sir, how do u fix a problem with ableton regarding the latency?
Gig performer is much better than mainstage base on my experience, and it also can run on windows
It only works on midi keyboard??
Can i connect the laptop to mixer without Direct Box ?
It is ideal to use a direct box.
What's the Audio Interface you use ?
We like the FocusRite line.
Please, Windows users want to praise God too😁😂.
Thank you 🙏

So how do u a sign your layers to the faders
you have to first add faders to the workspace, then assign your hardware to those faders, then create mappings to those faders. We cover this and much more in our free MainStage Basics Course: sundaysounds.com/pages/mainstage-basics-course

more of a talk about how. but not an actual how to.
