I have one more year to wait for my full license and get rid of the A2 restriction. Im dying to buy the XSR900. Like so bad. What would you recommend me? Im a person that like to go fast and faster eventually. Would you advice me to wait and buy the 2025 xsr900 or buy the 2023 xsr900 35kw. I really hate that one cannot get it to 85kw afterwards. Stupid laws.

Yes, this law in particular is very stupid. I mean: If you only have 1 more year to wait, sit it out. Maybe there is even going to be another update on the XSR900 making it even better by 2025 (we'll see). And then there is no more discussion about the power ;-) But honestly: 70 kW should be enough. If it makes 170 kph with the restriction, it should easily make 210 kph with 70 kW, if not even more.

@@swissDragonrider yeah exactly, maybe they’ll improve some of the negative sides the xsr900 has right now, hopefully. Would make it worth my waiting time for sure. And yeah i thought about that as well, 70kw would still be enough. But I think it will make me go crazy knowing my bike has more potential, but its just restricted by means of software. I would always crave for that extra power it cohld have. So imma just stick to my xsr700 for now and wait for the 2025 xsr900 for sure

Thx =) I don't know about the 35 kW version but the fully open version will be between 4.5-5.5 litres per 100 km, depending on how you ride it.
I privately own the old XSR900 (2017) and mine sits at around 4.3 on average but I am usually not a good indicator because I tend to use the hightest gears a lot. The new model should be 10% more fuel efficient.
