Really cool build thanks, I'm probably going to start something similar with slight alterations long term like getting a Hyrri's truth to get the precision at a higher level and no mana res meaning you can potentially path up to whispers so you can add frostbite to the build, imo the additional curse will help this build with bosses massively!
Been around, looking at several iterations of this. This approach looks fleshed out enough for me to get into it and see how it feels. Doing some testing tonight, hoping that I may be able to league start this.

I hope you dont mind my questions! why don't you take any mark related passives? and why are you not going for whispers of doom? for saving early currency I'd do this: before the crit stuff I'd run precise technique until red maps. for one point in the tree it boost a lot of overall dps. for red maps precise technique gets weak. that was my experience in regular and ruthless gameplay for bows. also once you go yellow maps (or even late white) your golem will die. I'd substitute golem and bloodrage with manaforged ensnaring arrow (2 link, with whispers of doom go with hextouch and frostbite for a 4 link) so your IS never lags in damage, and I'd def go for culling strike with marks. I dont understand barrage support for your vaal ice shot setup, extra proj doesnt scale vaal IS. one xtra thought: if you are lacking dmg, I'd def go for point black as it gives better freezes. IS is fun as it plays like a shotgunner in maps, so the extra proj and chain as deadeye is probably for clear better + saves up a support gem link in your setup! enjoyed the video sub'd! (and sorry if it sounds like rambling, it is not just my opinion) cheers
I would think of a ice shot ballista Setup with a seperate vaal ice shot setup. Normal ice shot for clear and ballistas plus vaal ice shot for bossing? Before we needed barrage for single target, but why not ballista and vaal variante

Lance was pondering about Pathfinder to be able to more often use the Vaal part of the skill. Fizecs' idea was it to go Ascendant and combine Slayer (for overleech and sustain) and Deadeye for Tailwind/Farshot/+1 proj. I'm wondering, what would be the best take on the skill...? Are you familiar with those? What do you think? Also your setup looks really like a glass canon, though I assume, it's setup for very early league start...?
Bro ! You make my day with the raider instead of deadeyes ! But 2 questions : - why you dont take more movement speed node on the tree specially on the early mapping ? - are you affraid to loose so many dps compared to the deadeyes ?
Man, Precise Technique is pretty much mandatory for levelling on this build. Easy to get, huge DPS boost. Also, Three-Step Assault on raider really strong for early maps, beside this saves you some points on Ailments Avoidance. For late game, there's an option for brittle by Galesight (pobably expensive) and Marylene's Fallacy (not really popular, really great). Also, can use timeless jewel for strength requirements. Btw, my respect for this guide :)

It's kinda cool, but I wanna do Herald of Ice explosions and more dedicated pure Ice shot. But you can definitely do a fire conversion and it will probably do great things!
Really like the way the vaal skill looks but I'm too nervous to leave start something so new Ive learned my lesson many times over in past leagues. That said I have considered starting venom gyre and then transitioning over to a bow build maybe Ice Vaal Shot in the endgame
I am also scared of league starting this, but I've done it before in years prior. And, I am will to be a guinea pig for everybody else to learn from! Definitely start something you are comfortable with!
Just started your video! Looks good man! Would you make any changes if playing ruthless? Raider or Deadeye? I love ruthless and ice shot looks great, probably go trade though to help with gems!
Thanks I appreciate it! If you are going ruthless, definitely go Raider. The Permanent Phasing and Onslaught, +40 % Spell Suppression, and ability to get ailment immunity for 5 passive points is just way too good when resources are slim. Deadeye is very much a Softcore trade kind of ascendancy.
Yeah pretty much what Yeet Said. You lose out on Ailment Immunity, Permanent Phasing, And 40% spell suppression in the ascendancy. But you make up for it with + 1 chain, +2 projectiles and having Mark proliferation and perma Tailwind. So, that's about the only real differences. Raider = More defensive and balance. Deadeye = More offense and glass cannon. If you go Deadeye you just drop those ailment avoidance passives and put them somewhere else. Basically you commit to going full glass cannon on deadeye.
I would recommend level with lightning arrow or rain of arrows raider. Feels really smooth all the way till bosses. After you got some good gear reroll into deadeye and clear everything.

Have you thought about using Heatshiver?

Heatshiver droprate will be nerfed to unknown degree, so it is not recommended to plan around it.
