I was having a similar conversation with my hubby…just because we do it differently doesn’t make it wrong. And besides, it’s crochet! It’s an art, no right or wrong…just your choice. Genius to combine the scrubby yarn with cotton. Be a little easier to use it.❤
I WISH we had a Michaels here! We moved to West Virginia 2 years ago. All I have is Walmart. There’s a teeny tiny JoAnn Fabrics but my goodness, they have nothing. I try to stop by these stores when I’m visiting relatives in other states. Thanks so much watching!
I love the way you showed how you tuck in the tail on your previous video! I will do that from now on. Thanks for sharing your ideas and experience! I do mine with the cotton and scrubby yarn too only I make mine in a rectangle shape. I like the round ones too! Enjoy your Christmas vacation!
Yes, that is different than the way I crochet but I would never say it's wrong .. just it's different. I have tried to do it like that before for a specific reason but it was actually difficult for me. I do make scrubbies and I do pair 2 yarns together like you do. I have used the cotton scrubbies yarn paired with the plain cotton yarn and made scrubbies for you to use in the bathroom to help with exfoliating your skin because they aren't as rough as that sparkly scrubie yarn.
Yes! I want to make some facial scrubbies this winter. Sooo many projects. So little time. lol. Unfortunately I had many people post that I crochet “wrong” in my dishcloth video. I actually teach crocheting. Some people simply can’t manage yarn over but find success with yarn under. It’s sad that our world is constantly judging others. Either way, have a wonderful week and happy crocheting!
@@sweethaven5 the plastic white sparkle one is from Amazon. Walmart sells the Red Heart Scrubby yarnI didn’t care for the texture of it though. I prefer Misoknit scrubby yarn.
@JustDoSomethingHomestead I've crochet for 53 years but I like to write out the patterns as I watch the tutorials. Most of my crochet items go to charity (used for Silent Actions).
That is soooo awesome! I find my memory isn’t the greatest. But if I make a video on a crochet project, I can go back and watch it again. Before starting this channel I had notes all over the place. lol Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment.
I am in my scrubby era right now so appreciate your video. BTW, as a lefty who learns stitches by watching, I am sure all of my overs are unders and fronts are backs😂Keep on stitching, it all looks great in the end
I’m definitely in a dishcloth, scrubbie, towel era! Everyone seems to love them and I like making them. Thanks so much for your comment and happy crocheting! 🧶
I agree with you, just because you’re doing it differently it doesn’t mean that the finished project is going to be different.
Thanks for telling us where to get scrubby yarn❤
@@reginahudock7444 You’re very welcome. Thanks for your comment and have a great week!
I wear a sewing glove on my right hand to protect my fingers from the rough yarn. Works great and makes my hand feel really good.
That’s a great idea! Thanks for sharing.

I didn't know they had scrubbie yarn 😊. I have made them with tulle netting. I'm happy to have another way to make them, thank you.
Tulle can be rough on your hands when you crochet. This yarn is awesome.
Me too, I tried tulle netting for scrubbies!! Ugh!! Will definitely have to find the scrubbie yarn! Thanks!!

What a great addition to the gift sets. Thank you for sharing such great creations while keeping thrifty 😉Merry Christmas 🎄
You are very welcome! I hope you had a joyous Christmas.
They look great!
Thank you! I’m now experimenting with using front posts on the double crochet. I’m liking the look and texture.
Great tutorial ❤
Wow! You’re fast. I just posted it. Thanks for watching.

Where do I find your patterns for dish cloth and scrubbies?
You just watch the video. It shows step by step. It’s extremely easy to memorize.
When I make my scrubbies ,I get to the size I want - I just keep going and decrease each round until I’m back to the center. Two sides - no sewing!
@@gaillynne1619 That sounds neat! Do you have a video so I could see how you do it?
