I don't get how such incredible production videos have so few subscribers to the channel. Outstanding job filming and editing! I love the intro, graphics, content... So good!
I just finished this series and I don't even know what to say. I'm sitting here crying. Words like 'Awsome' and 'Beautiful' and 'Inspiring" don't even come close. Setting aside the great production and scenery, the family values that are clearly shown in Caroline's behavior and your interaction with her put you guys in a fast-shrinking group of great parents. Please stay that way. The world needs you.
You and your family did a terrific job with this, showing what wildland travel is supposed to be about. So nostalgic, too, as we raised our two kids doing just this in the 90s and 2000s. It's never too early to get 'em started! Keep up the great work!
as a fellow new mexican and a 4 runner fan my 69 year old girl friend and i camp and follow the road less traveled. thank you for rebooting our enthusiasm for more. ps your communicae to your daughter in the future brings tears to my eyes.. thank you.
The potential of seeing scenery like this is what keeps me motivated. Already saved up $3000 in 2 months for a third gen 4runner with low miles. Should have one within a month or 2 at this rate. After doing convoys in Iraq I find life quite boring at this point. I need this kind of vehicle to keep me going and won't rest until its built. ( hopefully by next summer)Working 50+ hours a week delivering drywall and other supplies at the moment which is quite physically demanding and exhausting at times. Already have a parts list in my head for my build. Just have to keep at it. Thanks for sharing.
+volcom137z Hey thanks for watching. Best of luck on your new rig! I know what you mean about not resting until it's done. Cant wait to hear about your future adventures!
RichieFromBoston Picked up a 97 SR5 a few days ago. 5spd 168000 miles for $3200. Still has the original invoice and owners manuals. Just needs a good tune up.
I can't like this video enough. Thank you so much for making this little series for everyone to watch. I wish I lived out that way because florida doesn't have nothing to compare that to. My hopes are in the next 2 years getting out there to do that on vacation. Please keep making these.
You are the luckiest guy. Beautiful family. Your wife is so gorgeous and very cooperative in all of your plans. The details, videos, the feelings, you really execute it very well even though I'm not a big fan of some of your country music. The best overland episodes. Your website is awesome. More success on your journey. I wish my family can join you in some of your trips.
Lifestyle Overland We will. Too bad you're not in Tennessee anymore. I was there during the total eclipse with my daughter. No plans, the goal is just to be on the center of totality. Then we head up to Tellico after the eclipse and a big WOW. You can't resist not to jump on it.
Thank you for making such beautiful videos and sharing your adventures. I have eagerly awaited each installment, and then dreamed of making the same trip one day. Please keep sharing your adventures!
You guys are so adorable. Even thought I am a 70 year old man, your videos make me want to be your daughter! Keep up the wonderful (and informative) stories and adventures.
Thank you so much for this series! I am just about to retire at 65 and am drawn more and more to overlanding rather than short day or overnight trips. I have done some but multi day trips are in my future. Thanks for the encouragement! And bless you for raising your daughter to enjoy and respect the world we have been given.
This is the first time I've seen one of your TH-cam Adventures. And I have to say you people seem to be doing the best. I have been a rock crawler for many years. But now I just want to go on Long dirt roads and enjoy the scenery. So thank you.
This past summer we spent a week in Breckenridge. Our first day trip was Boreas Pass, from Breckenridge to Como, then turned right to go to Fairplay before retuning to Breckenridge. It may be worth noting you do not need a high clearance 4-wheel drive to do the pass. It is a well maintained dirt road and well worth the 17 mile drive. We drove a Toyota Highlander. Thank you for letting me relive our trip. Travel safe.
This was an awesome series, thank you for taking the time to post some of your journey. You have definitely given me some ideas for some out door fun and enjoyment.
Thank you for sharing this incredible trip of yours and your beautiful family! You inspire, motivate and make us feel thankful for that you share these videos with us.. A big thank you from a future "overlander" from Norway.
Just watched all 5 videos. Beautiful! Just bought a new Cherokee a few months ago. Looking forward to taking my family on adventures such as this. Thank you for sharing your videos. Subscribed.
Absolutely love watching you're videos from Boston. I have lived vicariously through you through your journey. Thank you for that. You have the perfect family, I hope I can hit the open road sometime as well.
Hey guys. Loved watching your overland adventure. Nice work. Looks like y'all had a magical time. One day I'd like to experience something like this with my family. Thank you for sharing your adventure with your beautiful family. Looking forward to seeing the next trip!!
Another outstanding video, timing is perfect for this video! Just bought my house in Colorado Springs and moving the whole family across country in a few weeks. Love the focus on family, makes me smile and look forward to dragging my kiddos around this summer. Bought my runner full shrockworks skid plates to celebrate today, imagine they will come in handy in the Rockies.
What an amazing series of videos!!! We're taking a two week trip next year staying at the overland expo in Flagstaff and going through Moab, Colorado, and New Mexico, provided we get 'Little Truck' finished in time. We can't wait to get out and experience those trails and soak up what this great world has to offer. You really hit the nail on the head with this video about electronic distractions and not experiencing nature and the road less traveled. Thanks for these videos. Very inspiring!!
Just wanted to say thank you. I'm in the process of setting up my old pickup for overlanding. I want to get out and do something like this. My wife and I have been married for 36 years and have lost a lot of each other along the way and I can't think of a better way to get it back.
Thank you so much! Both for the new waypoints for my next southwest road trip, but also for the nice conclusion and general inspiration. Safe & happy travels!
Awesome series of videos. Colorado is really a beautiful state. I'll be sad when I have to leave but I'm enjoying every trail and mountaintop while I'm here.
Beautiful! The scenery and the video quality. Your filming and editing are great. So smooth. Watching it, you can just feel the sensations of relaxed fun mixed with the anticipation of exploring new areas. As someone trying to produce overland travel videos, I just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration.
Watched your series with great interesd, I love the way you'r doing it , but the most I love the fackt you are having the experience with the compleet famely!
Myself and my family and some friends are planning on doing your route in reverse seeing that we're in Colorado lol thanks for the ideas and videos and continue exploring
Such a cute little Girl (and Family), makes me sad that my little girl is a teenager now, and that there are so many similar memories I failed to create when she was younger. Enjoy, cause they grow up in a flash..
This isn't a good production of a journey. It is a GREAT production. Low key. Focused on the sights, experiences, and memories. Less on the technicals, the equipment, and product placement like I've seen in some other vids. I love videos that take me somewhere. I did a couple of road trips west when my kids were younger and most of it was on the road. Still great sights and memories. I'm seriously thinking about doing some building on the Taco I have for some overlanding-with the limitation that it still needs to be a daily driver right now. I imagine though you can still get out and see a lot-even with stock suspension and tires. Again a GREAT video series of this trip. Just subscribed!
Totally enjoy your video series The Enchanted Rockies. Would you please do a video on navigation, particularly how you follw your routes when you are out of cell service. Many thx.
Cant wait to run this, watched it twice now and I think after expo west 2020 we will try it except we will start in Dell city texas to timberon to cloudcroft

my girls are all grown up; choked me up when you left the message for your daughter
+Joshua Boldt Honestly it chokes me up whenever I watch it too... and I'm not easily gotten. Thanks for watching!
Heck I don't even have kids and it got me in the feels... LOL!
Such a great message.
I don't get how such incredible production videos have so few subscribers to the channel.
Outstanding job filming and editing! I love the intro, graphics, content... So good!

+Bill Sprague You're very welcome, Bill! Thanks for watching!
This series was truly inspiring. The love of exploring and your family is something that is being lost in these fast paced times.
Thanks, Colton! We hope more families get out and explore after being inspired :)

That opening "monologue" though!! 😂😂😂

+Qeldroma3111 Awesome! We will have to check it out!

Music Jeff Foucault? I know Jeff. I went to high school with him and his brothers and ran cross country with them. Great people!
He's one of our favorite artists! We covered a lot of miles listening to him.
Cant wait to run this, watched it twice now and I think after expo west 2020 we will try it except we will start in Dell city texas to timberon to cloudcroft
We just got back from Colorado and all I want to do is go back especially if that is where the Enterprise fills up. Lol
+Stroker Ace Haha, it's a little known fact 😉
If those lottery numbers ever come up!!!! Here in the UK we cant do this sort of thing, wild camping is very hard to do!! The vastness and beauty in the States, and well, pretty much every where else in the world is where I will be heading if ever it is possible! The bucket list just gets longer and longer!
Let us know if you make it to the states and we will show you around!
You can bank on it!! Keep up the vids, looks stunning. And what a great experience for that ittle girl of yours.
Great parents
What size lift and tires are you running? Wife and I just got a 4runner and your set up is about perfect!!

How long did this trip take you to do? Can you do a video on your turtleback? Im interested in getting one but their site isn't well done and is a pain to get a good look at their models.
We took 10 days to do the trip but that was at a very slow pace. I believe 5-7 days is more reasonable with a steady pace.
As to the trailer, give Turtleback a call and hit extension #4... I'll walk you through all the options. (As of 3 months ago, I now work for them as their operations manager!) We are in the process of cleaning up the web site, and I'll be handling the new videos to help show off the features of the upcoming models.
Saw you had what looked like good mapping software. What are you using?
+Mike Anderson We use Gaia GPS for most of our travel.
I wish I could watch it. It's not available for me here in Canada.
+410 Expedition Have you tried it on a laptop or desktop?
Love your videos. Pls turn off radio when you are recording your adventures.
Please tell, gps and mapping app on Samsung tablet?
Skye13 the app they use is called Gaia gps. iOS or android. Great mapping app.
+Skye13 Yes, its the Gaia GPS app. Such a great product! Check out their Pro subscription too.
+Asa Fields Thanks for chiming in!
this video is not available ... pls make it available ...
same here.
+Em 14 Try watching it on a desktop or laptop. Some countries don't allow it on a mobile device.
+Michael Roth Try watching it on a desktop or laptop. Some countries don't allow it on a mobile device.
Where's BOLD OVERLAND?
+Ryan Parker We might be doing another joint venture in the future. Love those guys!
