      Been doing them for 2.5 years straight I can do 7 reps now. Took me 1.5 years to get my first rep. Be patient and don’t give up.

    yeaaa... improvising (no dedicated bench) always made my size 50 feet point backwards; seeing what that does to even world-record holder is very eye-opening... i guess ill have to find a workaround for that; oh and the "looking for connection" and "gently touching rep" parts are brilliant too... cheers

      When you take the feet out of this it gets way harder. And less functional. Thanks for the kind words!

    Wow. I learned a lot from this one. I already use bands but technic and the pads are priceless.

    I was about to ask why not progress, without bands, from a much more limited range of motion, with 2 inch or 2 degree range increase after 5 or 6 reps. Your final observation made it clear: strength gains over full ROM while still in the early stages.

      We tried to cover it all in this one. Glad you enjoyed.

    How much unlocking of the hip is acceptable? I’ve been trying to do these with the hips fully locked out.

      I think a few degrees is fine. You have to be super strong to do this with full extension and keep it strict. It's something to work toward but not necessary.

      @@thebarefootsprinter thanks. That’ll put me only inches away from the eccentric portion. Popping back up will be the next challenge.

    Thanks for the video, I do Nordics today! Do you find value in working a maximally slow eccentric Nordic, in addition to the gentle chest touch goal?

    • @videsuprax3
      @videsuprax3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is a huge change in resistance as your angle increases - hard to control , use caution.

    • @thebarefootsprinter

      I only do eccentrics If I'm lowering to an elevated height. It's hard to keep it steady the whole time so I break it up into chunks.
