I loved that level…you go up a hundred flights of stairs with horrible monsters constantly trying to kill you and knock you down. At the top was the pirate guy, who could climb walls and hang inverted-so the bridge collapses and you have to go back down the tower. But you use the pirate guy and it’s a BREEZE, he tumbles down in a second. This is such a great rendition and I love clockworks!
The synchronicity between you two after that break @ 0:22 was extremely accurate. What a joy it must be to play at your level with someone on the same wavelength.
Here in 2021 and being a guitar player of over 16 years I can say this is some next level skill. FANTASTIC job guys, hope you're still doing what you love!
Wow usually Sam takes center stage, but Steve really shines in this video with the percussive, evil rhythms. Also, Steve looks like a fucking badass demon overlord in this, that outfit really worked with his old look!
you guys have impeccable rhythmic feel! Everything you do feels so natural, not mechanical, and not stilted and disjointed. It's always a pleasure to listen to your work!!
I'm only hearing the Castlevania 3 OST for the first times in the past two weeks or so. The final passages in Prelude are amazingly beautiful. I like that at 1:25 you sort of let it breathe with a little more legato phrasing than the original soundtrack. It suits the character of that stunning moment blossoming into the major key. I love all of your work as a duo and solo artists. Well done.
From memory its called ''Begginings'', or ''The beginning''. Its reused a lot in the later games, akin to Vampire Killer and Bloody tears. They are the backbone of the nes soundtrack.
Awesome production going all out with the theme - I felt for you guys since I know it must have been super hot and stuffy in a room full of candles for all that time during prep and filming. A+ for the dedication - I'm sure most people won't realize and appreciate what goes into making a video like this one - I do - and for that I give you a huge 'thanks for the excellent work, guys'!
Ugghh yes, Demon's Seed! My favorite cut on the soundtrack. I feel like the composers didn't know what a gem they had written, or else why would it be used on an optional stage that's kinda hard to get to.
This is quite possibly my favorite composition from you guys to date. I grew up playing this game and others like it. Many times I would listen to the opening intro a few times before actually playing the game! From 1:25 till the end of that first part is sublime... so many younger memories and emotions start to surface just hearing that short but calming guitar riff. I absolutely love it. Happy holidays everyone, and Merry Christmas!
Spooky rendition, yet awesome. This makes my inner vampire hunter dance along with the rhythm of Akumajou Densetsu goodness. And it seems one of Drac's underlings came here and pressed the wrong button.
You gentleman are fantastic thank you so much for sharing your gift of music you play so well together and your chemistry and Cadence is absolutely astounding I would love to hear more Castlevania Duets in the future
About 20 years ago my friend Chris and I did a spectacular Heavy Metal cover of "Bloody Tears". To this day its probably the most epic thing I've ever played! These guys did it justice on the classical guitars!
Holy shit I have waited an eternity for this cover. From anybody, from anywhere, and it's masterfully performed. This is what playing any instrument is all about.
Think I've commented on this before, but it deserves repeating. There are a TON of mixed sentiments regarding the first 3 Castlevania games and their game play. I think hearing the 3 medleys the Super Guitar Bros have done of CV1-3 made me come to the realization that the thing those games DO have in common is awesome music. They all play vastly differently, but I have to say the music across all 3 is nothing but top notch! (Mic drop). We'll talk about Haunted Castle a different time.
Ever since Castlevania for Netflix, I've started listening to Castlevania covers, because it didn't occur to them that the music was a key element to the series. Just kidding, I've never stopped listening. This is a beautiful rendition of the soundtrack, thank you for sharing this.
I probably already commented on this but yikes I keep coming back and find it more masterful each time. Classical guitarists often lack the ability to groove (was my college major and was always a pet peeve) but Sam is always locked in.
I never ceased to be amazed by you guys, so awesome that you're able to do what I always hoped to do in creating guitar covers of the great game OST's. I dunno if you guys read these comments, and if you do if you take requests. But I have a few, let's call them SUGGESTIONS for your next projects. I think each of these would sound great transposed to the instrumentation of classical guitars. #1 Gauntlet for NES. The title theme I'm sure you could do with ease as I can play that. But I've always wondered if the extended version of that track for lvl 1 with that crazy sounding run can be played on guitar. #2 A Wizards & Warriors medley. Many people have done electric guitar covers of the main title track, I think you guys could do more of that great soundtrack though and would particularly love to hear the themes to lvl 1, the fire lvl (3?) and most of all The Wall. That would just sound so great. Title screen for W&W ii would also be great #3 Faxanadu, take your pick, great soundtrack #4 Probably the most difficult of the bunch, the title to either Wizardry or Wizardy II. Very Bach inspired tracks, fot the most part it doesn't sound that tricky, but there's those couple runs that sound just brutal. Honorable mention, Mega Man II, especially the Dr Wiley stages. Maybe this will help sway you a bit, I can't yet claim to have seen all your videos yet, but I am a loyal subscriber to your channel
These videos give me chills of nostalgia e every time. Its amazing how much like the original music you two can make the guitar sound. I loved all the original Castlevania games, and this reminds me of that.
my goodness!!! I have been waiting so long for more people to do music from this game!! This is brilliant!!! You guys made my halloween!!! I only hoped you did aquarius, evergreen or clockwork. man, the whole soundtrack is excellent. im just dreaming :p
Bros this is the best thing on the internet! I have a hole in my heart where the Super Guitar Bros Castlevania III Dracula’s Curse - Medley guitar tab should be.
seriously, you gentlemen made my morning going to work, hyping me with your excellent rendition and making me want to spit acidic bile towards the ONE person that disliked the arrangement you performed for my favorite castlevania NES title. Bonus points if you ever do the JP Dracula fight songs
Seriously every video I'm like I can't believe how god damn good these guys are
Fucking right. Love your channel by the way man.
Love CV3! Great versions! Btw, Love your channel SNES drunk! Your ninja gaiden trilogy review was spot on.
Me either, they fucking rock hard as fuck
its the Jesus himself playing that guitar if you didn't notice..
Oh, hey! It's SNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNESdrunk! 😊
00:00 - Prelude
01:47 - Prayer
02:00 - Beginning
03:05 - Demon Seed
04:27 - Anxiety
05:55 - Clockwork
There are better songs than Anxiety. The thoughts on that boat still bother me. Their rendition of Clockwork is a win tho.
No Epitaph, Rising and Stream ):
Hero!
04:47 anxiety
05:55 depression
I love the contrast of the nylon string classical with the steel string dreadnought. Just beautiful.
Texture!
Thanks for clarifying that as my boyfriend and I had a frothy debate on the matter and I am STOKED that I was right LOLOL 😆😂 Sweet Sweet Victory!
Finally a demon seed duet

Being brothers or very close family, they can feel or respond to the other. Especially with practice! Awesome sauce!
I don’t know if people understand exactly how difficult Clockwork is to play, much less perform a duet. Holy freaking balls this is amazing.
I've learned it on piano and yes there are a couple of part in the song that are really tricky.
Holy shit ton of balls
J.S. Bach's level of performance required
I'm about to get there, very excited : )

man.,.. that clocktower at the end.. pure Baroque epicness....... Awesome guys!
The musical writing for this game is amazing but these guys really bring it to life with this amazing performance and production.
I think is just one guy.

you guys have impeccable rhythmic feel! Everything you do feels so natural, not mechanical, and not stilted and disjointed. It's always a pleasure to listen to your work!!
This may be the best TH-cam video I've ever watched
I can’t believe these guys don’t have millions of subscribers. So amazing
It’s quite a sad tune actually, very appropriate for a setting of decay and death. This acoustic version makes the emotion even stronger.
Dracula’s Curse and amazing guitar players,
How could it be better?
Thank you guys!

Virtuoso, plain and simple
ah, i see you're a man of culture as well
Incroyable, un homme de gout ce plouf =)
It's uncanny (in a good way) how highly in sync they are with each other. Perfect.

I haven't had chills like this in a long time. I'm literally speechless
Always saving the best for last!
Clockwork has such badass melodies. Thanks for the upload!
This soundtrack is perfect for you guys. I still am blown away anytime someone pulls off the clock tower theme.
This is great
Although mad forest is really underappreciated.
KotagMaster Mad Forest would have been a great one for sure. There's just so many good songs to choose from
Mad Forest is great. We were working on a version of that, but couldn't get it to work quite right on acoustic instruments.
Press Start To Die press on!!!
Mad Forest and Aquarius are my favorites
guys... seriously, incredible. you knock Castlevania out of the water every single time.

Haha, I love you guys "dying" at the end.

I confess: the whole first 1minute and 48seconds bring me some... (bloody) tears.
that is absolutely insane! grew up with those games. amazing job
Finally! Whenever I see "Guitar" + "Castlevania" on TH-cam, I think "Not another amateur metal castlevania cover"...this is way better.

Love those harmonics in Anxiety! And Clockwork is a masterpiece!
Your other Castlevania video is one of my favourite things that exists, so this one made me so excited :D
Bellissimo! and I'm not even Italian, my childhood in guitar via perfection.

This is such an astonishingly impressive medley. Absolutely incredible work!
glad you put clockwork last. it's probably among, if not the best castlevania music
I was literally wondering why this didn't exist the other day, and here it is! Wonderful job, guys!!
Listening to these remakes lets you see just how musically skilled these game developers were back in the day.
This is wildly good!!!
