    You're from Waldron that's local. My family farms in the Quincy and jonesville area. Nice video nice to see some local farmers educating the world.

    I really enjoy your videos ! I like the fact that you take good care of your equipment . What State is your farm located in ?

    One thing I learned through college classes is that you want 100 pounds per horsepower. So a 9560r should be weighted to 56,000lbs. Now like you said in the spring you are worried about compaction, but maybe look at your slip and if it’s over 10% it can wear tires exponentially faster.

      You're right but pulling a ripper at 5-6 mph is much different than a field cultivator or VT tool at 7-10 mph. Also ours is a 9510R.

    You may want to use some hearing protection, I lost most of my hearing at a early age by not using it. They make some great products out there. Great videos really enjoy them.

    Not sure we’re your farm is but here in the south we fill all of our tires up with water and put 3 gal of Antifreeze in each tire that way we don’t have to worry about them freezing up for the winter time

      We're in Michigan. I'd used to be pretty common to use chloride in tire for weight and a couple of our older tractors still have that but pretty much all the newer tractors just use cast weights.

    I would like to know what you think about the John Deere Gen 4. What auto track system do you use? How do you document? What do you think about Field View ? Thanks for your time

    • @BorderViewFarms
      @BorderViewFarms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have actually never had the chance to use a Gen 4 display. We use 2630s for pretty much all of of documentation. I still use Apex on my computer but also use the John Deere Operations Center. I also don't use Fieldview for anything.

      @@BorderViewFarms maybe you can review how your doing this and what your documenting and what your using that documentation for on the farm? Enjoy your video's. I farm in Indiana. Wanting to get auto track for mu 7200R.

    How heavy does this tractor weigh with all the added bolt on weight and fuel then what does it weigh dry?

    • @BorderViewFarms
      @BorderViewFarms  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      When we have all the weights on it weighs roughly 55,000 pounds. With no added weights its about 41,000. Lightest we run is 47,000 and I think you could go as heavy as 60,000.

    Enjoying your videos. Keep up the good work. 9Rs are Awesome tractors to watch doing tillage. Auto Steer? What will happen if the operator has engaged the auto steer and falls asleep and is at the end of the field? Does the system wake the operator up, stop the tractor, or CRASH into what is in front of the tractor.

    • @BorderViewFarms
      @BorderViewFarms  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't fall asleep. While there is a turn warning it tends to blend in with the rest of the sounds coming from the monitor and the tractor will not stop its self. You will hit whatever in in front of you.
