That is s summer haircut. Lol. I applaud you for keeping up on all maintenance and repair issues . Shows you care about safety and taking care of your equipment.. keep up the great work!!
I watched your planter video a few days back right before hitting my planter for spring setup. thanks for putting it up, always worth getting more reminders. I replaced the opening disks and had forgotten to redo the guage wheel settings. Starting to plant here in Texas with a nice clean V.
We fixed our 4440s weight braket the same way it has held up for 5 years now. Improvised fixes are a must in farming. Nice video stay safe and farm on my friend !
The original pin on the bracket was like a step down pin !! It was the diameter of the weld that you ground down and approximately two to three inches long and then went to the smaller pin to fit into the weights !!!
Love the video .yeah looked like a good weld , main thing is that it holds. Tires look awesome. Glad you didn’t have to pay 300 dollars. Just a little ingenuity did the trick.
Nate in this day and age , that weld is fine for that . Back the day, 99% of the farmer's weld looked like turkey $hit and go look in the fence row's at that old equiptment and it's still holding ! I got a mig welder and went to welding school for two years and it look's fine to me !
Boy do you have it easy! I took 1,400 pounds of the front of a tractor by hand yesterday. That is after I scooped out two grain bens. We have a lift that you pump by hand but there was not enough room to get it next to the tractor in the shop and it was around 20 outside so we just lifted them one by one. I am only 14 by the way and I think of that type of thing as a workout you get payed to do instead of paying.

9R is an eye catcher anywhere you go...an amazing tractor. But that 4440. Love that thing. 👍

If you painted those rims on that 4440 you would be shocked at the difference it would make , the rest of the paint isn't to bad .
I know dad told me the same thing said "Just use a brush" 🤦♂️ I have a hard time doing half a project. It will get done someday.

I thought the same thing too. I bet the topic was discussed when the welding was finished. Old girl still looks good though.
Nathen FYI most mig welder have a chart inside the cover for the wire. Might help setting up for next project

Haha it's not always that easy. See th-cam.com/video/go0FWhjkfDU/w-d-xo.html
The bolt you welded on the weight block will be just fine. It's there to keep the weights from sliding off the block
Morning all I see is GREEN and it all looks good. Great videos Thanks
Good looking haircut 💇♂️
I like all that green especially the 4440
I haven't checked but I'm pretty sure that TH-cam might be able to teach you about welding..
That's probably true.
Did the o-ring fix the oil filter leak?
I haven't run it yet
What do you guys run for gps ex. rtk or sf1\sf2
I run RTK on the corn planter SF1 on everything else.
