I think the interpretation is wrong, at 0h the ship is at 48mils, at 4 hours its at 116 miles. Finding the gradient of the graph(in this case rise(distance) over run(time)) will result in ds/dt which is the change in distance over the change in time hence the speed. Just the terms should have been 48 and 116 miles, not mph. :) still good vid

The first one has answer choices while the second paper requires mathematical workings (?). And we can use scientific calculator during the exam as well (but I think its a little harder than GCSE).

I think you did it wrong in 13:29, just find the gradient if you want to find the velocity because basically s = vt where s is distance, v is velocity, and t is time. You can spot at t = 2, s = 80. At t = 3, s = 100. Therefore m is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) which is (100-80)/(3-2). And you got your velocity which is 20 m/s
I think that it was the 2019 SQA N5 exam that was all over the news about how it was so hard and students were complaining. I was a part of that year how took this exam but it would be fun if you did it to compare with how I did during my actual exam.😊
I would suggest that your justification for the pentagon 450° question is probably off. Just because the pentagon cant contain 5 right angles doesnt necessarily prevent it from having 5 angles that total 450°. It would be more rigorous to use the external angles summing to 360 to say the internal angles sum to 5*180-360 which is 540. Great vid tho! Just being fussy.
When it got to proper GCSE’s in May/June in 2018, I failed maths by 10 marks and then I passed maths the year after. I LOATHE maths because I don’t understand it 🤣🤣🤣 and same goes for physics too 🤣
Is there any higher level maths for highschool exams then this in the UK? This exam seems to be Closer to something we call P math wich is the low lvl, while R math is what you take if you want to study physics or maths at uni. And would you be able to study math at univeristy if you passed an exam like This or is it like here in Norway where you need to study the Harder maths to get in? I think some countries call It A-level math and physics wich is basicly the same as i took at Highschool (we call a-levels for R math and Physics 1 and 2) Fun to see how other countries study tho, keep it up 🌞
For UK high school/secondary school Higher maths is the hardest maths exam (the easier one being foundation) where you would take 3 papers but there is a Further Maths exam which is harder. But for my school only a select few people got chosen to do it. It also depends on what exam board your doing as I think AQA is harder than Edexcel. I think that if you want to study maths for Uni you would have to study it for A-level. Hope this answers your questions :)
