The youngest brother is a hero, and if you read her book you will understand that Shari is ABSOLUTELY a hero as well-all 6 of those children are, for surviving that family in the best ways they knew how.
I wish they would stop playing that phone call from the neighbour. It breaks my heart every time. I’m sure the old guy doesn’t like hearing it over and over again either. He seems to be absolutely traumatised by it, as would any of us who came across Russel in that state 😢

The bad things about Ruby is she would let her children fail college and make em go homeless and do nothing about it and she took away all of shari money for college, and did all bad stuff to her children like grounding them for too long
Shari is currently enrolled in college and her brother Chad has done real estate schooling. We know nothing of the other siblings so where on earth are you drawing your info from??
Very proud of Shari for sharing her story and standing up to her mom back when she went to college. Her mom cut her out of the family because she went to CPS several times
I'm not Shari Franke, so I can't begin to understand truly what she went through. But, her father was still something else. And I get that the situation where she needed to get stuff from the house and she still took other stuff for evidence was a slippery slope, and so he called the cops but... He was STILL an asshole about that. At least from the viewers pov. I don't know .. I just would urge her to really think about who Kevin was in her life and who he really IS. And step away .. create some distance so that she can make that distinction for herself. With Ruby, she seems to have known Ruby was a monster since childhood. But with Kevin, she might not see just how self centered he actually is. Yes, he's a weak man. But as a daughter who's been through all of this...she's allowed to step away from BOTH parents and blossom into the strong woman she is. Don't let him hold you back.

I don't understand why they walk around or have them look through a gate or window. Can't y'all just have a normal interview? I'm so sorry to be negative but that just really bothers me for some odd reason
She tried, COUNTLESS times, CPS did nothing COUNTLESS times. Despite video proof of Rubi mistreating her kids, it wasn't until her little brother escaping to the neighbors house: malnourished and wrapped in duct tape, when CPS and the cops started to investigate and arrest her, when the deciding to help, when they decided to care. Are you insinuated that she too is responsible for all the awful things that happen to them. What is wrong with you. Do you have any idea how hard and traumatic this whole ordeal has been for her and her siblings. THINK before commenting.
My parents worked hard, multiple jobs and still I went nights a couple I remember, starving bc we had to wait another day or two for a check, to pay rent or on EBT.. They never held food as punishment, how somebody could have wealth and be religious is pretty freaking disgusting.
My Dad used to scare when I was young that he won't feed us or give money for us to buy a pack of rice for dinner if my younger brothers won't behave, my Mom was also there but she's fulltime housewife and whenever they fought she stayed at the neighbors house to play poker while I was left there 11yrs old nagged by my unemployed Dad. Until now I cannot looked them directly to the eyes and I never had a Partner in my I just cannot form a good romantic relationship with anybody 😢

Im sorry? Why does the headline say ALLEGED abuse? Its plain and simple. >Mom was in the house with children >Mom documented torturing the children ON CAMERA and POSTED it >Mom ALSO documented torturing children on her diary >Children actually found bruised and badly fed Yeah. Alleged abuse.
Amazingly well written book. My God...Ruby was mentally messed prior to Jodi but Jodi saw that weakness and capitalized on that mental status by lining her pockets with the TH-cam dollars...brutal
ARREST. KEVIN. TOO. He was an adult when all of this took place and there is absolutely no way he didn't know what was going on and what his children were being put through. This man needs to be held accountable, whether it was just stupidity and negligence or God forbid something more sinister
Older siblings like this are painsinthe a. Why didn’t she help her younger siblings? Why didn’t report it and fight for them? The youngest would have had it much worse than her.
Exactly!! She experienced nothing like what Russell and Eve did before the arrests. Which only happened thanks to Russell being brave enough to escape and the neighbors not turning him away. Heck, even Abby and Julie likely had it much worse than she or Chad could ever dream of. And I don't say that to discount any abuse they went through. I don't care if anyone agrees or not, but I see Ruby's pridefulness in Shari a lot and think the apple doesn't fall far from the tree there. Her response to whether she was proud or not of her youngest brother was quite telling, in my opinion.
If that child had not escaped i can't imagine what would have been done or become of thise children. DEAD most probably. Does the eldest daughter think about this. How there brother saved them. I really feel for these kids😢
Exactly! If anyone deserves to be called a hero, it is Russell. He and the neighbors who helped him are the only reason he and Eve aren't dead right now.
For context look at her brothers 12 year old frame and look at kroy and kims 12yr old frame........ those poor kids in both situations.....can the adults adult yet?
Sheri reaction to being asked if she was proud of Russell is all I need to know. Narcissism must run in the family. Kevin allowed this crap to go on for years. He did nothing He should be held responsible also
I just finished the book and that's definitely not narcissism talking. She talks in numerous places about how the kids' privacy has been invaded too much and their story is theirs to tell, not hers. I'm sure she was frustrated that she's being asked questions about them when she wants them to be able to heal in peace without the cameras. Don't be weird. By saying shit like this, you perpetuate the "we DESERVE insight into your family" mentality that caused 8 Passengers to skyrocket and basically ruined these kids' lives. That's the entire point of the book.
She doesn’t want to speak about her younger siblings. She wants to respect their privacy and let them tell their own story. I took it as *maybe* she let them know she would not be speaking about them and was took off guard by the question. I suggest you read the book to get an understanding of what she went through.
@jamiecook4619 while I do not disagree with you. I'm looking at the whole picture. Its not the first time. GMA didn't ask how Russell and Eve where. She asked if she was proud of him . Go back and watch her facial expression. Her head tilt. The body will always tell you more. Then the words coming out of the mouth.
An instant NY Times Best Seller. I hope she consents to movie that will expose the entire family. They ALL knew and they ALL still exploit their children.

I am still healing but horrible fathers do destroy families. I think Shari should do the same. She won't miss him.
Yeah. A weakling and a coward of the highest degree. I watched the police interview and when confronted with what had happened to the boy, he had a fake surprise response and then asked about what would happen to his wife....
He’s allowed the abuse to happen- he should never have custody
I’m glad she’s setting the record straight. Ruby has tried to put it all on Jodi. It escalated with Jodi, but it didn’t start with her.
Wow I was just looking into this case again and this was uploaded 20 minutes ago. Convenient.
Did you see the recent Explore With Us video about the case? It's really good.
@@LockeDemosthenes2 Where can I find that? Is that on TH-cam?
@@gossipgal1418 yep. Just search "Explore With Us" and it should be the first result.

Same!
the way ruby smiles to the officer when she enters the courtroom as if she's royalty
it was not the policeman she smiled at it was her parents.they cut short their time away on a mission...her mother was seen mouthing to Ruby " i love you"...her brother, sister and sister in-law were there at the court...
disgusting. grandmother should be ashamed too
I seen the crime scene photos of the boys ankles and how malnourished they were. The little girl had scars all over her arms. You could literally see his shoulder blades sticking out of his back😭😭 His ankles were deep wounds infected so bad it looks like his foot was about to fall off. They should be charged with attempted murd. Absolutely horrid.
She back again?? I’m glad she back out and telling more story about her side of the story
Her channels gone. You can’t take that as her being back. I wonder where her channel went. Her videos were very good
@@ryanciani3324last I heard she's in therapy cause she now realizes she was abused. Maybe deleting her channel was part of her healing
I just have one wish, I hope those children are happy and healing from the abuse
The book is amazing! She is such a beautiful example of endurance
He is proud of the woman she has become 😂😂
The same young woman who he calls the cops on
Kevin is something else
I hope sheri nows just how strong and amazing she is and yes the world is so proud of her little brother
What he did took strength and courage beyond explanation
I hope life going forward is as amazing as it can be for all the franke children
Its gonna be a tough road but together they can get through anything 💖
I wish they would interview Rubys Parents.
Not to mention Ruby's sisters who all do family vlogs too.
Why, they still support her and likely created her by their own parental failings!
@@LockeDemosthenes2 yes that would be interesting, considering they cut short their mission to come back and were there in the court room.
Did Ruby's parents ever stop their own channel?
@@caroline-s yes and no, it got demonatized
She's going to be a fabulous mom.
She’s so brave! The Dad Challenge podcast on TH-cam has covered them for a long time. Childrens privacy matters!
I started watching eight passengers in 2017 and in a bunch of videos there were signs that she was mistreating them and I just feel bad for Sheri having to step up probably a lot good for her writing a book to tell everyone about her what her struggles and what she went through with her and her siblings
Shari tuned out great! She is a strong brave young lady and will learn from her childhood but not be dictated by it! Good for her! Go forth and live your life 🥹
I'm amazed that Ruby and Jody had a channel that people followed. It took a 12 year old boy to call for help. That's sad.
She is so brave ❤
The youngest brother is a hero, and if you read her book you will understand that Shari is ABSOLUTELY a hero as well-all 6 of those children are, for surviving that family in the best ways they knew how.
I wish they would stop playing that phone call from the neighbour. It breaks my heart every time. I’m sure the old guy doesn’t like hearing it over and over again either. He seems to be absolutely traumatised by it, as would any of us who came across Russel in that state 😢
I think he has died of cancer.
@@rachelsuchla2408Really?!?!? Where'd you hear that he died?
@@rachelsuchla2408 really? where'd you hear that?
@ I heard the man had cancer. It was a comment from awhile back. I live in Santa Clara right next to Ivins. I hope I’m wrong but that’s what I heard.
@ when this case occurred I listened to everything about it on TH-cam. I use to take my dad with dementia on drives in this housing development. I can’t recall where exactly I heard this. Someone said the man was battling cancer and died a few months later after this incident. It would be great if I was wrong.
I hope they kids will reunite with there older sister. Since she was cut from her siblings.
From how I understood the book. Her siblings are living with their father and they are all in contact. But I might be wrong
They might not want her. When someone doesn’t talk to you or try reaching out there’s a reason for it.
@ Have you read the book? Shari explains everything. It is about the things in between the lines
@@karenste.2874 at least they’re staying with their dad, but it would be nice if just to see them altogether the siblings. But who knows?
Just ordered her book!
Rubys sisters are exploiting their children and need to be investigated too. They did nothing to help these kids. They turned a blind eye.
And the Grandparents if they still have their channel
Bonnie is still going strong and is trying to justify putting her kids in volgs. She will never change. The others not so much.
SHE WILL SOMEDAY BE A GOOD MOTHER WHAT A BRAVE YOU G LADY SHE IS.😊😊😊
The bad things about Ruby is she would let her children fail college and make em go homeless and do nothing about it and she took away all of shari money for college, and did all bad stuff to her children like grounding them for too long
Shari is currently enrolled in college and her brother Chad has done real estate schooling. We know nothing of the other siblings so where on earth are you drawing your info from??
Very proud of Shari for sharing her story and standing up to her mom back when she went to college. Her mom cut her out of the family because she went to CPS several times
She should do an interview with DadChallange Podcast…. He predicted this long ago, he was advocating for these kids before anyone had any idea
That guy is a gossip queen and a jerk.
Because of him , some have removed their kids from their content. He has definitely opened people's eyes. How he does not may not be for everyone
Absolutely not! He is a total low life grifter.
Not at all!! He is not the one who originally predicted it
@@sugarsore and a raging misogynist
I listened to her book yesterday it’s good. Crazy what she went through especially since I knew Kevin and ruby since before they had kids :/
What a resilient, impressive young woman.
Excellent book Shari. Just finished yesterday
I remember when everyone used to attack Shari and say she was just like her mom. It’s horrible
How is dinner a privilege ? One really messed up mother. 😢
Mormons frequently use fasting and withholding food for supposed spiritual reasons
Notice she calls her Rubi, not my mother!
Lucky. All I have is my dumb parents
I’m 100% with you on that. I think that Sheri needs time to continue to process everything. Kevin is not a victim by any means and I hope she’ll realize with time.
@@Delphine-bk24 I don't think we can say he isn't a victim since we don't know what went on in that house and brainwashing and manipulation is a real thing
they were both victims in their own way
after reading her book it explains pretty well how mentally messed up he was under this devil psychologists powers... he's a victim
Just post all parts omg
She is so brave.
Ruby will NEVER know the feeling of being a real human like her wonderful daughter, Shari.
In plain site. I can’t imagine subscribing to her account and not being appalled
Redemptive Story - a narrative that starts with negative events and ends with positive ones, and often involves a character who learns from their mistakes and becomes a better person.
FULL INTERVIEW????? 👀
Why wasn't the father arrested?
How is this Part 2? Its exactly the same as part one
Those children would have died if that little boy hadn’t gotten help. This could have had such a worse ending. I’m so happy those women are behind bars
How is she not upset with the father and only the mother? The father had to know what was happening ... why is she giving him a free pass?
I don't understand why they walk around or have them look through a gate or window. Can't y'all just have a normal interview? I'm so sorry to be negative but that just really bothers me for some odd reason
Did she ever report her mother?
Yes, but after the authorities checked things out, they determined that everything was fine and closed the investigation.
Multiple times
She tried, COUNTLESS times, CPS did nothing COUNTLESS times. Despite video proof of Rubi mistreating her kids, it wasn't until her little brother escaping to the neighbors house: malnourished and wrapped in duct tape, when CPS and the cops started to investigate and arrest her, when the deciding to help, when they decided to care. Are you insinuated that she too is responsible for all the awful things that happen to them. What is wrong with you. Do you have any idea how hard and traumatic this whole ordeal has been for her and her siblings. THINK before commenting.
HER BOOK WAS GREAT!
He is proud of his daughter after wanting to press charges against her?
I heard that someone else actually wrote the book but that Shari obviously told the author the story.???Say it isn't so!
Anyone who exploits their kids online need to be investigated.
I can only hope that both Jodi & Ruby get the max of 30 years!! Shari’s book was very well written but it still seems that Bonnie has no clue to what Shari said about growing up on the internet. I hope people stop watching all family vloggers. Children need to be protected and their privacy.
If they wanna be on camera they’ll be on it. They shouldn’t all be banned.
Hmm you hope ppl stop watching family vloggers? How did you knew that Bobbie still doesn’t get it? Is it bec you WATCH her channel as well? lol you should stop watching it too then
@@ivi122 no I watched the dad challenge podcast. He did a live on TH-cam. I’d never give Bonnie or any other family vloggers that exploits their kids for money a view! These kids cannot give consent! @@ryanciani3324 it’s not right for kids to provide income for the parents! They might not know it now but in years to come when they realize their whole life is on the internet for strangers to see, I’m sure most will not like it, just like Shari

i'm pulling for her and her sibs to recover from this trauma.
It's interesting to me that Cherie is advocating for children's privacy while also flogging her book. I hope her siblings are okay with anything she has revealed about them in her book.
I think this kind of cultish behavior/activity is unfortunately pretty common in the mormon "faith." Same with the Jehova's Witnesses, the Scientologists, and the Amish. They all take religion far too literally and seriously.
Im sorry? Why does the headline say ALLEGED abuse? Its plain and simple.
>Mom was in the house with children
>Mom documented torturing the children ON CAMERA and POSTED it
>Mom ALSO documented torturing children on her diary
>Children actually found bruised and badly fed
Yeah. Alleged abuse.
Amazingly well written book. My God...Ruby was mentally messed prior to Jodi but Jodi saw that weakness and capitalized on that mental status by lining her pockets with the TH-cam dollars...brutal
Why do child abusers not get longer sentences?
Imagine Ruby vlogging her life in jail. "This is the toilet I use, as you can see, the jail cell has little privacy."
I just want to know what took so long to get justice to those kids. We watched the abuse for years and did nothing
ARREST. KEVIN.
@@psychedelic.dreamer yes I noticed that response as well.
I want to know, if her life was such a nightmare. When she moved out why couldn’t she call for help? And help her siblings
I bet this little girl finds her own way to heal from the family trauma
She isn‘t sharing anything. What have we learned in this new interview? Nothing 😂
Privilege? It’s basic human rights!
Why is the one child who was out of the home the one writing a book...gross. heal your siblings not be lame about it.
Ruby: I'm going to tell you one more time and then youre going to lose your privilege to eat dinner
Me: What is this, the early 1900s?
If that child had not escaped i can't imagine what would have been done or become of thise children. DEAD most probably. Does the eldest daughter think about this. How there brother saved them. I really feel for these kids😢
Exactly! If anyone deserves to be called a hero, it is Russell. He and the neighbors who helped him are the only reason he and Eve aren't dead right now.
Ruby and Jodi need life in prison!!!!! I hope Shari and her siblings have love, happiness and privacy.
He did nothing He should be held responsible also
I know that caught me a little off guard
What do you think that was all about ?
3:44 As much as people say that when they have crappy parents, more often then not they carry that behavior when they have kids too.
An instant NY Times Best Seller. I hope she consents to movie that will expose the entire family. They ALL knew and they ALL still exploit their children.
4 years in prison??
Imagine a mother thinking that having dinner is a privilege for her children!!! This woman is twisted and a danger to children and members of the public who chose to follow her example
