Haha yep, I started a new fallout 4 playthrough the other day. Said to myself "self, we're gonna be tame, not go insane with mods this time around" Then after adding some quality of life mods, couple of guns, maybe some armor mods, I booted up my tame 72 mod game to have a go.
I started playing Cities: Skyline on PC with mods recently and I said to myself "Ok, start off small, don't go too overboard with the mods!" On day ONE, I had over 300 mods installed. The game now takes about 30 minutes to load up a map. No regrets.....
Fun fact: Fallout 4 contains just over 111,000 lines of spoken dialogue, which is more than Fallout 3 and Skyrim combined. The player's character has 13,000 spoken lines each for the male and female character.

Single shelves give 3 xp for 2 of either steel or wood, and effortlessly clip into each other. Scrap all of sanctuary, and you can raise your level quite a few times.
@@stigrabbid589 Fence post spam is significantly harder to clean up. If you use shelves, you can spam scrap them without any more effort than crafting chems. I was also wrong about the amount of wood and xp received. It's 3xp for 2 wood.

Breaking Bethesda games with mods has been my go to strategy since Fallout 3. I'm glad to see someone else doing it. Though you have missed most of the experience(pain, mostly) of having to install them all.
You actually have a 100% chance of getting a 5* character you want. Just be sure you’ve enough premos to pull 180 times minimum. Btw, the game gives 4-500 just by completing most the content already in the game.
Yep, SimCity 4 with over 10000 mods and dependencies takes a long time to load but once it does it runs fine because it’s from the Windows XP era so it almost can run on a potato.

Hehe on a side note, for anybody who doesn't know (not everybody goes for or even cares about settlements so it might not be so well known) water purifiers are for settlement happiness and every day, each settler will take a purified water out of the settlement workshop bench. They can stack up (up to 150? I think) and if a water supply is damaged from an attack or you establish a supply line to another settlement with inadequate water supply, the excess water can sustain the connected settlement with water until either the water supply in the workbench runs out or the connected settlement finally gets a sustainable source of water built, and will stop removing water from the other settlement. So technically you can just build a SINGLE settlement with like, 1000 water and as long as it is linked to other settlements via supply line, you never need to build water for any of the connected settlements. Same goes for food except farming requires settlers (I think 3 food is all a settler can produce as long as there are enough plants. Adding more plants won't add food value unless more settlers are assigned to the farm) But food also builds up in the settlement workshop bench. Having a scavenger on a scavenging station causes a random junk item to be placed in the settlement workbench daily too. I think there is a limit to how much crap can actually accumulate in the workbenches tho. But still, it is mad easy to get caps in Fallout 4 as long as you have access to a settlement workbench and just built a chair or bed and wait. Hehe.
We've been playing a heavily modded Fallout 4 over on our channel to, and I've honestly been surprised how resilient the game has been. We've had a few crashes, but with over 80 mods at the moment, it's still actually running. I guess sometimes "It just works" is all a game needs

One can't say they've modded Fallout 4 until they've had an experience like this, AND that experience requires quicksaving every 2 minutes because of random unknown crashes that aren't triggered by anything but sheer volume of mods overwhelming Todd Howard's love juices holding the game together.
I has the exact same bug in my modded fallout 4 last month. The three things mods break most often: sanctuary and codsworth, concord and preston, and the framerate of downtown boston

You crafted fish baskets, meaning you must have Far Harbor installed. Instead of making money using purified water, you can make a lot more money by selling Poisoned Caltrops. Get your Charisma up to 14 by wearing a Suit, Pompadour Wig, and Black Rim Glasses. Snag the Barter Bobblehead from the canning factory up in the northeast. Then get rank 1 of Chemist. You can now craft Poisoned Caltrops. Buy a shipment of 100 steel for 900 caps, convert to Poisoned Caltrops, sell back for 1600 caps. Now you can make 700 caps every 48 hours.

I mean, you can merge, convert .esp to light masters or straight .esl, although there are some limits to that...enough to get at least 700 mods that way though...

Get your Charisma up to 14 by wearing a Suit, Pompadour Wig, and Black Rim Glasses. Snag the Barter Bobblehead from the canning factory up in the northeast. Then get rank 1 of Chemist. You can now craft Poisoned Caltrops. Buy a shipment of 100 steel for 900 caps, convert to Poisoned Caltrops, sell back for 1600 caps. Now you can make 700 caps every 48 hours.
