they arent programmed to - but if there's one around a large physics object in the game like a car or a shopping basket, when the deathclaw does its "dirt kicking" animation it could launch an object like that car at you lmao

Actually, at 4:20, It says that it does more damage to Ghouls, You used this on Feral Ghouls, where they've already lost their minds and body to too much Radiation to the point where it doesn't harm them. It's different on regular ghouls like Hancock.
