    It's high time this country takes mental health more seriously. I know TOO MANY ppl who are sick, and they love it, they wouldn't have it any other way. When you get diagnosed, the state needs to have a constant, and active role in your mental health. They do entirely too much destruction to everyone around them, and it isn't fair to the rest of us to put up with that BS. My friend has a brother who is schizophrenic, and the state keeps a very close eye on him to be sure he is taking his meds, bec sick ppl are notorious for stopping their meds as they see fit.
    Society as a general rule doesn't really focus on prevention of someone losing their mind, they wait until you commit violence and there is a huge rush to talk about it for a few months, then we go back to square one with blowing it off. That needs to stop, and now. Thank you Demi.

      I'm happy you support her cause, but maybe you could help the general stigma if you didn't generalize, and push such brash assumptions about the tendencies of those who live with disorders. Having bipolar or any mental illness is an obstacle to living a healthy lifestyle, however people are able to do it, and I can tell you ..."ppl who are sick, and they love it..." is the most inept and out of touch idea you put out there. Point is, if it matters to you put more time into researching say your friend's brother's illness so you can have a better understanding of what he's dealing with, and how to actually help if able to. More government funding in awareness and education would be dope though. That way more people could see the symptoms, before things get out of hand.

    • @tranquility9325
      @tranquility9325 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      First of all, you have no idea what I have been through with mentally ill ppl. Everyone I know who is mentally off, LOVES IT and will NEVER do anything to fix it. All ppl are not like this OBVIOUSLY. I am WELL VERSED on dealing with ppl who have severe mental illness. WELLLLLL versed. I have ppl like that in my family, and have dealt with it to the point where this person and her sh*t has put me through a severe emotional roller coaster. I also know of someone else who's mother is off and she, as per the usual with mentally ill ppl decides to stop taking her meds whenever she feels like it.
      NOT ALL mentally ill ppl act the same and I never said they did. But you are barking up the wrong tree with this one sweetness bec I have dealt with it my entire life. Everyone I know who is sick is a PREDATOR and when you have a kind heart they exploit that to suit their own selfish needs. Don't even go there with me. I am done with this conversation.

    • @taylorgoodson2325
      @taylorgoodson2325 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right I don't know you or your personal life experiences. I am sorry for the emotional damage those struggling with mental illnesses have done to you. All I can say is I function fine with my disorder, however having it as part of who I am is something I do not wish for, or anyone else for that matter.

  • @sivass4577

    Removing the stigma from mental illness is such a difficult thing to do on your own, yet Demi is doing it, because she has a very powerful voice that she successfully uses. Legislation is definitely needed to help raise this awareness and get people the treatment they deserve. It's not enough for only 4 out of 10 people to be receiving treatment. We have do more. And although Demi is doing a fantastic job, it's up to all of us, no matter where we're from or whether we're diagnosed with a mental health issue , to help in this campaign. #StayStrong 💜💜💜

    This is definitely a sign of the times. Symptoms of our society being sick and what this young woman does is not suppressing these symptoms with pills or ignoring them but getting them out of taboo. She is opening up and making them visible so we can cure the root. Bravo !

    Listen, medicine dosent always work properly, whats new?
    Medicine, Therapy, support and purpose are the things that will get you through each grueling day my friends. Medicine never just helped a cancer patient. Love, support, therapy and focusing on you're purpose in life is what really matters.Without those, I think we'd ALL be dead.

    Demi Lovato recently guested Norway and talked about the offers for mental health not being good enough in the states. Well, they are not that much better in Norway either. I'm not going to claim that is the worst, but is certainly far from the best. You'll have to be real sick to get help and the help you'll get is limited.

    Millions of people have some sort of mental issues including depression, ADHD, bipolar, eating disorder, maybe even include dyslexia in that category since they haven't really specify what Mental health issues really mean. I know a lot of people with these problems and none of them are violent.
    What is she trying to tell us here ?? She suspecting us that we're all domestic terrorist and we should be taking drugs to keep us docile?
