Whoever is buying the old TV with the dials obviously wasn't the designated channel turner back in the day. I was and I think remote controls are wonderful.
gotta love old CRT tv's, still got several myself, was thinking about selling one or two of them. But i decided to keep them in the end, they seemingly are becoming rare and probably more valuable over time. video tapes especially ex rentals are becoming slowly but surely more valuable, last week i found about 30 of them on a fleamarket including a tape with dirty harry and other nice classics.
@@ToddyTornado well im from holland, so the movies have dutch subtitles. i know mostly american videos can go to really high prices, also our retail videos are in plastic cases. the ex rentals are in larger plastic cases, the really old ones are in a more soft plastic case with the wide edges. some good ex-rentals in this lot were, poker alice, the stones in the park, sleepless in seatle, universal soldier 1 and 2, young guns 1 and 2, and dirty harry in the dead pool. and a small amount of retail videos, the best ones are predator 1 first print and some horror movie tales from the darkside and spawn the cartoon and movie, horror movies do go for big money here, and other weird really old movies and also real classics like rambo, terminator, robocop etc.
You should buy a few sheets of foam board insulation to have on hand. Little cheaper than a mattress pad and will work way better. You can cut it to fit so it lines the inside of the box. It comes in different thicknesses.
That foam board I much stiffer than a foam pad. Those things get knocked around a bit in shipping. Foam boards might knock something loose inside. Not a good impression if you're the buyer and you hear a loose piece inside when taking it out of the box. But different strokes for different folks.
It always makes me LOL when people think that the needle in a haystack person will come to their garage sale and pay $75 for used cleats. Lady it takes 6 months to sell those on an international market for $50 shipped!
Hey John, why don't you do a video "tour" of how do you store everything your buy, how to keep everything marked and in order, what's the process you go trough to sell them later, etc etc...I think it would be cool? What do you think?
Great finds! Quick question do you use a GoPro? And do you strictly use the audio that comes out from the GoPro or do you attach something else to sound better?
Hey, just curious how often do you go through all of your listings on eBay to make sure that they are currently listed because we all know eBay takes things down without telling you but I was just curious to see how often you do an inventory check and what do you do with the things that you decide aren’t worth it to sell anymore? Do you have a Yard Sale flea market or just donate it?
For shipping heavier electronics and other fragile Goods put them in a large garbage bag heavy duty like a contractor's bag and fill the box with great stuff expandable foam
The only bad comments from anybody where people telling me they had a hell of a time getting the electronics out of the phone but I got good feedback because everything has always arrived intact
Hey John, I know you get a lot of comments but I have a question, so I’m 23 and just overall looking for some money. I purchased a bunch of sports memorabilia and just want to sell it for extra cash. Is there anywhere I can contact you if you’re interested in checking them out?
The pro pickers are sleazy. Always showing up to people's sales before they are even set up. Not saying this was the case in this video but that was definitely not her first stop and they always have videos of people saying "we aren't set up yet".
Wow getting 350 for a tv and only paying 20 is kind of cruel to the person you bought it off of if you get that you should kick back some money to them
I'm just impressed with how many huge carports are in Cincinnati apparently.
Lots of people convert their garage to a living room and add a carport. Usually on a ranch style home. 🤷♀️
CRT TV's are great pickups the VHS/DVD/SD combo is icing on the cake. Retro videogame collectors are going to be all over that
Nice try sneaking that $300 amplifier with those low end speakers....she caught you immediately
😂😂😂he thought he was slick

Hahahaaaaa. My little brother and I were the official channel turners for our three big sisters in the 70s. 🖥We were also the antennae fixers. 😁😉
@@aslobos lol!! Yep, you had just stand there and hold the antenna ugh
Think the youngest in the family ended being the channel changer.
John . at that first sale I believe that's the first time I've seen someone price their DVD's individually .
Haha, that's awesome! I love finding cool things!

what else was in there ? how much did you pay? some can go for good bucks with the case

Great day at the sales. I just went and ordered Marvin. Thanks.
Love your live voice over .. going thru your process of choosing an item or not
Thanks!
Great finds John! Congrats!

It’s astonishing sometimes how much people want for their pre-owned stuff at garage sales.
@marywatkins6798 you'd think they were selling on ebay!
Great find John Congratulations. 😊
That was cool that you ran into Pro Pickers wife. You got some nice buys.
Nice pickups John ! Love the Toshiba combo. Convenient to have on of those ! Stay safe and keep the videos coming !
Sorry to nitpick but those aren't steelbooks
They are some sort of collectible metal tins.
Fun times - good day for yard sales. Stay safe.
It was really your day for old TV's. Good scores.
Good finds. Happy 4th of July. It's also my Birthday. LOL!
Happy birthday!
must be one hell of a party eh?? 🎉🎉😂 Happy bday 🎂
Happy Birthday!
I love the Marvin the Martian plushie. Always one of my favorites from Looney Toons.
Just off a 13 hr day and still gotta watch ur video always top notch
It’s just a TV kinda day lol
I literally found the same TV a couple weeks ago, with the remote and manual 🙌🏽
Awesome TV finds

Those tv's are great - great job, those speakers are great!!! Great job Reds - beat those Yankees!!!!
Here really early today hello from Toledo
Just surprised anyone buys old CRT TV's these days
Nice finds!!! 🇺🇸
Holy smokes that’s a lot of shoes
For shipping heavier electronics and other fragile Goods put them in a large garbage bag heavy duty like a contractor's bag and fill the box with great stuff expandable foam
I wouldn't trust putting fragile electronics in hard foam. That stuff dries to a rock. Not much forgiveness when knocked around during shipping.
Be careful keeping those speakers close to old TVs as the magnets can be bad for the picture.
The only bad comments from anybody where people telling me they had a hell of a time getting the electronics out of the phone but I got good feedback because everything has always arrived intact
Good video. Very enjoyable. I have seen you in a Tennessee picker video. Is he still making videos? Have not seen one in a long time. Thanks
I think he’s taking a break. Kevin is a great guy, though
Do you ever come across guitar amplifiers? Maybe even vintage Marshall’s?
Very rarely, musicians don’t like parting with things lol
@@cincinnatipicker that’s what I figured, and if someone did have a vintage Marshall there’s no way they wouldn’t know what they had lol
The Toshiba was a great find and buy 👍
VERY good find. I could use that all day watching vhs and dvd 😂
Do you still run your auction site
