      Right. It's a way to open dialogue and find a reason to arrest a person by using loaded questions, e.g., suppose a person is in the car park filming and Police officer asks, "why are you filming the contents of these vehicle", and you answer, "i'm just interested", then you've given them grounds to arrest.
      The loaded question presupposes that you're filming for the purposes of finding out what contents are in a car, and by answering you affirm that premise.

      Ole Bobs pet hate was no lights on your pushbike. He would give us a swipe round the side of the head with his leather gaunlets he wore whilst on his bike😂.
      When we became young men Bob had retired ,but when we see him in the pub his beer was on us lads.
      One sat dinner time we got Bob drunk and he told us something thats clearly stayed with me for life.
      He said do you boys know why i used to swipe you one and create for not having lights on your bikes. Nope.
      I had a son that got killed because of no lights ,and i didnt want to see the same happen to you boys.(lump in throat) .
      That touched home with us young men.
      I wish Bob was around today.
      I have no respect for the police we have today. But the likes of Bob baker i would vote for anytime.

      Even if it were enclosed, it wouldn't be arrestable for looking around and reading notes in car windows. It would only be arrestable if there was an element of criminal activity, such as burglary.
      But of course the actual law never stops sergeants from bluffing and BS'ing and misrepresenting the law in order to enforce their personal feelings and desires.
      The threat of arrest was arguably a Section 26 offence by the Thin Blue Line Gang Member.

    The Sargent should be demoted. There should be zero tolerance for not knowing basic laws and freedoms.
    The signage is inadequate and there was no boundary fence to stop anyone from assuming the 'private' car park has implied public access.
    The two police officers that assisted the sergeant were friendly and professional enough.

    It is crazy, I found out today, that in my country, Sweden, ever since 2023 you are not allowed to film police stations, it is illegal. The excuse of it being "sensitive area", so fight for your right to film, because if you film police stations in Sweden you will be prosecuted. Crazy but true.

    The No Pedestrian Access sign on the barrier itself means that people cannot pass through where cars drive through but the side of the barrier should where there is access from footpath is perfectly fine.

    Private police carpark is an oxymoron. It's a PUBLIC government agency, nothing about them is private. They may have restricted areas, with appropriate signage or it ACTUALLY being enclosed properly. But otherwise it's PUBLIC property.

    I've always wondered why you can't film in "public" buildings, like the council etc. The only logical explanation is that they are in fact private corporations, and thus, by definition, cannot be acting in the public interest.

    Private police carpark is an oxymoron. It's a PUBLIC government agency, nothing about them is private. They may have restricted areas, with appropriate signage or it ACTUALLY being enclosed properly. But it's always PUBLIC property.

    The gate is clearly designed only to restrict car access; if it was meant to keep people out, it would also cover the sidewalk. It's like putting concrete bollards at the beginning of a pedestrian only road, it stops cars but people can walk by.. it doesn't mean that people have to stay away too because cars can't get in.

      There have been at least two police memos issued to dispel the internal myth, that its a crime to film at police stations . one in 2010 which was covered by the mainstream press due to a whistle blower . another official memo in 2018 . clearly communications are being ignored in favour of policing on personal feelings .

    Local councils across the UK. The most ineffective, incompetent organisations of all, probably Europe wide. Populated by employees who either couldn't cut it or would find it impossible to get employment in the 'real world' due to their incompetence. Councils always employ incompetence and everyone else suffers.

    Technically (legally) that was an assault - an unqualified threat of physical action, “arrest”.
    Second Plodess I quite liked,especially the genuine apologies … until she equated a car park with your drive (but says it was different, in fairness).
    As always, an entitle little bully barking orders & inventing Laws - a way of life for these strange people.
    It always starts as a personal power trip and then ends as violence & corruption.
