How do you clean a walmart Shimano? Most expensive I've purchased. Yours look cheaper I think. Mines including the gears are all made of plastic. I think Shimano calls it ci2 or ci2 1/2 ... They're extremely durable.
Don’t spin the handle or rotor fast to drive water out because it instead drives it into the tight spots. I got a bunch of good reels from Saragosas, Stradics, TLDs, accurates and Penns and I’m afraid to crack them open.

I think its piss poor that with all the high end reels shimano sells they could not provide a proper maintanance sheet yet. All information you get is "put a drop of oil on all movin parts". Yeah, thanks for nothing shimano.
@@MazzaCantSpell If you are the Type of person that soaks everything in the cheapest oil he can find than yeah. Its not rocket science. But Shimano Sells about 18 Differed Oils and Greases all for a very specific application and type of reel and they tell you to exlusively use their products in the specified place and quantity.
@@lobster8009 they js do that so u buy their products any reel oil will work on a bearing Yh there’s some stuff you need special oil or grease for but that’s on the insides of the reel that you rarely have to do

That shaft that goes up and down does not get oiled, it gets a light coat of grease .

I normally use the Lew's Lucas Oils oil and grease.

Most reels are the same is it rly needed it should be common knowledge before you get a high end reel anyway
