I legit sprayed my Penn battle 3 6000 after my first outing with it and the next morning it started to squeak when I reel in. Legit after my first trip out.
Had mine fall off my boat during a hurricane and pulled it up with a fishing magnet the next morning and it will still intact no corrosion just went through and greased every single component. Awesome reel
I'm curious why this PENN reel has a gasket to keep water out, while my 2024 Battle iii does not. Does anyone know why (e.g., larger salt vs smaller freshwater or something) ? Thx
My Penn fisher won’t come apart to grease gears was over 100$ for it was 130ish they don’t look good quality if u can’t fully tear em apart any ideas mine 4500 series

How do you use the inox to protect the reel. Is it just spray or wipe all external areas ?
