    Great vid, so helpful. Suspension upgrades, tuning etc can be very confusing for the average joe bike rider, as I am, so this helps bring clarity. I especially like your point of checking in with yourself and asking what are you really looking for in suspension. Bringing intention into the process is a key ingredient imho. Keep up the great work on your videos!! I look forward to seeing more. Thank you!

    To tune my suspension on the trail, my number one tool is my eye glasses! I can't tell you how many times I have screwed up my settings thinking I remember which way to turn my adjustment knobs and ended up way out of tune.

    Great presentation and visuals. Covered everything you need to know about shocks :mounting, hardware stroke etc.. Sad to say I don't make a lot of adjustments on my bike but I did change the rear token to Red and added 3 tokens to the 34 Rhythm. Rides way better now and I can get the sag I want. Cheers to you also.

    Very informative video kudos. For me I typically leave the rear and front suspension per manufacturer (unless I was racing and the rear and front needs fine tuning based on the course). What I notice between Rockshox and fox, rockshox tent to be more plush at the beginning of the stroke where as fox is after. Maybe it is just me. The biggest will be like you explained sag…rider weight, riding style play a big part on fine tuning the fork and rear shocks

    Perfect timing. I’ve been pondering upgrading my bike’s suspension. All things being equal what would you say is the best bang for your buck, a fork or shock upgrade?

    • @LoveMTB

      Good question. Why do you want to improve the suspension? What limitations do you run into? Answer that question and you have your answer😊

    @lovemtb awesome video!, I was waiting “patiently” for updates on this bike since you bought it! Did you order the shock directly from Fox? Did they send it tuned already or the shim service was aftermarket? I am waiting for a epic Evo myself and I want to order the fox shock with a remote. Looking forward on the AXS transmission videos.

    • @LoveMTB
      @LoveMTB  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes they did just have to order from their service department and you have all the details of the shock in this video. Enjoy your Epic!

    Thank you for shedding some light on this rather confusing subject!!! I book marked this vid for future use...I recently got an email from a lbs in my area on suspension service and tuning and for the 100hr service and custom tune it was like $800 to do my enduro e-bike does that sound about right?(holy expensive) and by the way I loved your t-shirt!!!

      @@LoveMTB I did a bunch of research on RockShox and fox racing suspension and from the reviews I hear differences are personal preference which I believe I understand but the main thing that sold me was foxes service ability compared to rock shocks Fox suspension resale value much better, and their service life is also longer whereas SRAM doesn’t support their shocks for the amount of time Fox would for example, sram is more innovative to where they don’t support the products as long compared to Fox from what I read.

    I own a 2020 Canyon LUX and the system used by Rockshox with DU bushings is the worst ever and less performing. In fact, this system damaged my frame because the total absence of rotation of the spacer meant that the carbon frame wore out, fortunately replaced under warranty. Now I mount the RS shock absorber with the FOX bushing system. The FOX system, even if it lasts less, safeguards the components and therefore the life of the bicycle. Now Canyon uses all FOX components and you can explain yourself why.
