I enjoyed every bit of this. Very edifying and informal. God bless those brothers. We need so much more of this. Praise the Lord!!

I firmly believe that a true Christian appreciates the fact that the Grace Community Churches teach Biblical TRUTH. The way things are rapidly moving along out in the world today it will take continuous courage to stick to what the Pastors know is Truth and to keep teaching it. We all owe that to God and our precious Lord Jesus Christ! We realize that there is a strong push to infiltrate these churches to weaken them and bring them in line with the evil that's out there. It is heartbreaking to see Pastors who are allowing themselves to be weakened and changed because of their personal friendship with another Pastor who has given in to what's going on with homosexuality and other things. I will be 90 in May and I sorrow a lot to watch what has happened to this country and it's values. I can't begin to tell you how I feel about what's happening in some of the churches as I know it effects their congregations. Stay strong and fight to continue to be Biblical TRUTH telling churches. God Bless you mightily for doing this. I listen every day, 5 to 7 hrs, only to Preachers from Grace Community, or John MacArthur, I love listening to Voddie. So thank you so much for standing STRONG for God, Jesus, Holy Spirit and teaching the True Word.

BioLogos also represents "major ground given up" by today's church -- denial of the authority of Scripture by redefining origins, accepting evolutionary thought rather than making of first import the explanation God gives in Genesis 1 - 3. To reclaim this ground we must return to the priority of Scripture, God's word, over any word of man.

Calvinist vs. Arminian. Travis Allen saying that the rise of homosexuality in the church is due to Arminian soteriology is ludicrous. Clearly, he has not read Arminius. This is not about Calvinism and Arminianism. It's about sin and the toleration of it in the church.

Please note, not all women are married and also work outside the home and, therefore, do not have a husband to assist in preparing for what is to come. Please direct your answer to us also. Thank you.

Colossians 2:8 is a verse for these times

obedience is not worship on Sunday for a beginning to honor the Sabbath...to love Him is to obey His...meaning His Father's Commandments...the churches continue in feeding Babylon and volatileness

What is iniquity according the scripture? KJV only!
When you’ve answered that question then you can draw reference to Matthew, 7:23 and 1 John 2:19.

I love how Postmillennial the title, discussions, and attitudes of this was…without any of them actually being Postmil lol

33:40 Voddie is wrong here. WLC 191 is much closer to postmill. Savoy declaration 26.5 is explicitly postmill.

Ascol is right on eschatology. No need to divide over it.

Whose brilliant idea was it to connect the word “church” as it relates to the bride of Christ with the word “militant”? The word militant has an actual definition: combative and aggressive in support of a political or social cause, and typically favoring extreme, violent, or confrontational methods.
Find a wiser way to encourage Christians on to right thought and action… maybe the Church loving or the church obedient or just about anything that doesn’t trick people into thinking that the Lord’s kind from is of this world and that his servant should fight…

The current sense of the word dates from the 20th century. Before then, the word simply meant “engaged in warfare” or “serving as a solider.”

How are you going to make disciples without the gifts of the Holy Spirit? Your militancy seems to be aimed the Charismatic Church not the world. In fact, Calvinism has always been rather worldly, and even today some of you have the good tailoring to prove it-complete with cufflinks (black tie after 6!). But no Holy Ghost power.

      that comment is absolute nonsense

    • @duncescotus2342
      @duncescotus2342 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@lilpoohbear653 The gift of the Holy Spirit is not nonsense, but rather the power for the Christian life. Everyone needs this sin-overcoming power. It hasn't "ceased." Pray to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Some applicable verses:
"Unless one be born of water AND OF THE SPIRIT he cannot ENTER INTO the kingdom of God." (Note the wording carefully. Access to kingdom living is by the Spirit only.)
"Apart from me you can do nothing."
"The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." (A basic principle of the Christian life.)
"Not by power, not by might, but BY MY SPIRIT says the LORD." Also...
"The LORD takes no pleasure in the strength of a horse, nor the legs of a man..."
"The kingdom of God is not of word but of power."
"I came not with persuasive words, but with power and demonstration of the Holy Ghost."
Jesus instructed the disciples: "Wait in the city until you be endued with POWER from on high..."
"And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit..." on the promise day of Pentecost, 50 days after his resurrection, in accordance with the typology of the Old Testament "required" feasts.
Finally, in Hebrews we note the difference between the soul, the human will, emotions, natural personality, mental capacity, in short everything that we are vs. "the spirit" and how they are not the same:
"The word of God is living and active, sharper than a two-edged sword, dividing the joints and the marrow, separating the soul from the spirit, searching out the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Whatever comes from the soul of a man is soulish, but what comes from the Spirit is of God, "spiritual."
Therefore, those who teach that the power of the Holy Spirit is not for today "resist the Holy Spirit" as the Jews of old did, and are therefore heretical brothers and sisters. Be not like them, "ignorant of spiritual things."
