Thanks Lucy. Have made two versions of McCalls 8142 which hang beautifully. I did away with the slit up the side by continuing the hemline across the pattern - also makes it easier to add lining.
Love your videos and seeing what you've made. You have great styIe. I wonder if when you talk about patterns being size inclusive you might mention the starting size. Not all patterns include size 6 and some don't even do an 8.

Hi Lucy: I want to buy some of the silver fabric; it is so beautiful! The description on the website says polyester/wool, but down in the specs, it says 90% polyester and 5% elastane. Could you clarify, please? Thanks !!
I've just heard back from our supplier, it was a typo on the ticket, it is actually 95% poly 5% elastane. It is absolutely gorgeous I agree, I hope you make a beautiful party outfit with it.

Kudos for adding a lining to your dress! Most things that should be lined aren't.

Well done for getting these deadstock fabrics, there is nothing worse than hearing about fabric going to landfill !!! What a waste that would be......
