Aquarium Co-Op I am thinking on setting up a brackish water tank so please can u make a video on how to set one up and the species of fish u can have🙏 love the videos.
Exactly. They’re healthy and the water is clean. I think it’s ok, because they manage their tanks well. Petco and PetSmart can’t seem to keep a Betta tank clean and these people have overstocked tanks with beautiful fish (great colors) and good water
I guess it also makes the tank attractive with saturated colors. If they are too spread out, you won’t see those colors pop from a distance. Great for business I guess.
@@AquariumCoop yeah but the very first thing I saw in this video was dyed frogs. I hate the fact that dying of fish and other aquatic creatures still continues to happen. Its completely wrong. These creatures are beautiful enough as it is without causing unnecessary pain and duress.
@@uniquascaper7052 what changed? I feel like often the managers and employees don't always have knowledge or motivation. Large distributors and probably some smaller stores, are paying minimum wage and hiring staff with no knowledge because they work for less? The whole philosophy of business and store front sales has changed to something cheap and often times disturbing.
My favorite fish market, love visiting this market when I'm in GZ. The fish and flower markets in China are really something special, definitely one of my favorite things about living here.
@@StevePolandAquatics haha no way dude you and kgtropicals were the very first fish tubers i ever saw on youtube lol can i get a sub back??? I would like to interview you in the future!
@@StevePolandAquatics ps. I have a massive breeding operation going on i think you would love our cichlids and much more than just cichlids also saltwater fish ;)
Very nice!! The stocking densities are incredible, yet no ripped fins, stressed fish, or any sign of illness - they've got it dialed in for sure - thanks Cory 💕👍
Yah asia in general is so incredibly ahead of everyone when it comes to aquatics nice video Cory. Neat you can visit such places the torture is eye candy you can’t bring home!!!
I had two microphones, one set much lower than the other so we could choose which audio was best for each situation. But hey, people say I don't try hard enough in my videos, so what do I know :P
I'll put my vote in on the 800g for an island scape! Do it Cory! Thanks again for making another long trip to show us all how it's done overseas, I love these videos!
OMG! The goldfish colours!! The Ryukins, Orandas, Ranchus. Soo hard to find colours like that here in Canada! Stunning! Thank you! I was in China once, for a day, had I known about these aquarium markets, I would have been there instead of the Great Wall! Amazing!
Love the video, recently fell in the love with the hobby and have been trying to check out all my local stores. I consistently have not been too impressed, but I'm hopeful I'll find something! Anyways, I've learned sooooo much from your channel, thank you!
Hi Cory, love your podcast How do they get their water so clean? I’d love to know how they run their sumps, do you mind covering this on your next live stream/podcast ?
Wow. Wonder how much the fish get fed in those sales tanks until they get sold. I know the sumps are huge but I’d be interested to know the feeding/water change schedule with such dense stock. 800 gallon island scape would look sweet!🔥👌🏻
Comments about overstocked tanks don't know any better. The filter system on these tanks are huge that is why the water is clear and ammonia level is zero. Also, the water in the tanks are frequently changed and all the tanks are bare bottom making cleaning easy to do. The "overstocked" tanks here are cleaner than the tanks of people here making the comment "overstocked"
They have freaking Arapimas! And everything in-between. For those who are saying that many of the tanks are over-stocked: The water quality is outstanding, very clear, the fish don't seem to have ripped fins (Even the Midas Cichlids, which says a ton considering they're as aggressive as Red Devs). Even the colors on these fish are fantastic, not pale at all, meaning they aren't stressed. Lastly, growth isn't stunted one bit. Seriously, I'll take this place over any pet store in the US any day. Just look at Petsmart; Their tanks don't even hold haf as many fish and yet the amount of dead fish compared to live ones is higher! That's not even exclusive to Petsmart either... It's sad.
Petsmart is dumb... they could learn a lot from these chinese markets and get more people into buying fish, healthy ones for good money. they won't bother. sigh.
with stocking density it depends on two things mainly, the water containing oxygen to sustain x amount of fishes breathing especially at night, and the aggressiveness of the breed
damn wish you would give some idea of pricing, id love to visit and tour china in the first place but itd make it even more worth it if i could find some amazing fish/inverts to ship back ps-what are the white fish at 3:53?? anyone...anyone...
Aquarium Co-Op True but in the wild they have the ability to move elsewhere, to the centre of the shoal or to the outer regions. These fish don't have a choice, and since we are breeding them and controlling their existence we should know better than to cram them into a confined and controlled space. In cases like this we can't compare the fish to its wild counterpart, thats just not a valid argument. The only people who can say whats right are the scientists who dedicate their lives to studying these animals. Sure the water is pristine but it has to be to maintain that level of stocking, its undeniably wrong. Thats why there are laws in the western world to protect pets. Just because its possible to keep them like this, doesn't mean its humane.
fossmonz those fish are having a healthy and hygienic life here, not one seemed stressed, in the wild they would had predators or parasites killing them so there’s always two sides of a coin but I understand why you want them to be in a bigger space but I think the owner have good knowledge on his fish like which one needs space and which one can adapt , since I can also see he’s letting one fish in a huge tank
i got your points. I'm thinking the same wondering how could this be possible maintaining the water quality with too many fish without a single dead/sick fish🧐

Aquarium Co-Op good grief!
WOW these China videos are awesome. I wish we had the quality of goldfish in the whole country that they have in one store. Amazing fish!
Was nice meeting you in NJ
Same here, thanks again for the shirt.
The fish look healthy but dang, those tanks are overstocked.

Chinese have a very different concepts about animal welfare than Western people (they don't care a s*it..).
they won't be staying in these tanks for over 1 week, before taken to someone's home.
i think its b/c the fish dont stay in there for long
I can’t even see a single dead fish anywhere and out here in the US, we always see dead fish in fish stores
There was 1 I saw at the koi place. But yes. The health is crazy high!
As i was watching that's exactly what i was thinking.
@@AquariumCoop yeah but the very first thing I saw in this video was dyed frogs.

The quality and density is jaw dropping. This could start it's own tourism industry.

Wow what an amazing place! I am thinking that the fish hobby is alive and well in China! I'll never feel guilty again about overstocking my tanks.

Red tail catfish
that would look awesome
I used to go there and spend a month at a time. Very cool place. :)
I so badly want to go there!
Corey where do you get your fish from I've been looking all over
Wonder what they give them to control the stress and health of the fish, that is wayyyy too many for a single aquarium
How do you know it’s too many? Many of the species are just that dense in the wild
Aquarium Co-Op True but in the wild they have the ability to move elsewhere, to the centre of the shoal or to the outer regions. Yeah, they've got water quality on lock down.
im from sro lanka nice u a program
Wow I wish I was there!
Amazing
how do you even select a fish from that many.. 😟?
They are really good at catching fish. They even use those small nets that I thought it was impossible to catch fish with.
💎💎NICE💎💎
So amazing how they do it over there , the water parameters are better then most hobbyist tanks I am willing to bet aswell
Wow ..how do they keep those tanks so clean and the fish look so healthy.
That looks like a lot of fun to wander around in!
Definitely something at least 30" tall in the 800.
I bought home all the large wood from the store and I gotta screw them together to get them taller :P
is there any cow ranchu there?
