Iron Maiden... Always and forever my favorite band. When I bought this album in 8th grade I had to hide it from my mom in a Steve Miller Band album sleeve.
Few singers have this voice and knowledge.Patton is another beast.I was never a metal type,but always an Iron Maiden fan.As a small kid I bought Somewhere in time.Wow,eye-opener.one of the albums that staied with me and will always have a place in my mind and soul.

Number of the Beast has become the traditional song to play after the break for the encore portion of the concert. They will say goodnight, thank the audience, and leave the stage. The lights go dark, and then "Woe to you, o earth and seed..." kicks in for the encore. It is amazing to watch live.
I went to a concert last year for a band called Uriah Heap. My 8 year old little brother actually caught a drumstick. It was awesome and I was so proud of him!
Saw them live in the 2nd row years ago....the loudest concert I have ever been too, and i have over 30yrs of going to live shows. Seeing them was on my bucket list and it was well worth the hurt ears lol.
This was so much fun to see! Very similar to the first time I heard this song. Growing up in a very catholic family I had weird emotions about the artwork and was scared to death about having my Nana find out about me listening to "devil music" LOL it was scary and amazing at the same time. I get giddy just remembering. Thanks for taking me back girls. Rock on!

All because, somehow, they are all wonderfully written and sung. Steve Harris is a genius. And, what's not to like from Nicko? One of, if not the best drummer in heavy metal, a true down to earth man, always teasing the fans to warm them up, throwing sticks and skins, always smiling. Drum sticks hurt. Got hit in the head by one thrown by Eric Carr (Anthrax/KISS Vancouver, 1989) and had a welt the size of a golf ball for a week. Didn't even get the stick, it bounced off my head into someone else's hands. It was the only show I ever dove off the stage and crowdsurfed, it was during Madhouse by Anthrax.
Mia's first car needs to have a tinted windows. So when she pulls up, thundering bass, ppl are gonna expect some leather clad neanderthal climb out, instead, out pops Mia!
Nicko McBrain says he is a born-again Christian. He said there are no devil worshipers or anything like that in Iron Maiden. So, feel free in enjoying their music!
It's an image,that all the "metal"bands are devil worshiper.Many of them don't have a true opinion on religion.Just don't like hypocrisy of the roman curch or any human made organisation,to have us under control.Page had this simbols on his trousers,but does it mean he is a satanist?Well maybe,but to me it doesn't matter.Just don't try to force me into any religion or political organisation,then you can have your thouths,no problem
