Amplitude is not a massive factor in judging, the switch mctwist which was absolutely perfect and the triple cork won it for him. No other rider had a triple, and no other rider had two switch tricks. Corks are more important, or at least should be, than just spinning like a top. And switch tricks are hard af. The rotation variety overall was better as well. Usually I might agree, I think Ayumu is easily more talented than Scotty at this point, but Scotty put it all out there and deserved this win. Judges got it right, which is something I don't often say.
Excited to share our coverage of X Games Aspen 2025. We were having some audio issues with our broadcast, but we still wanted to bring the coverage from Aspen to you guys as quickly as possible. That aside, enjoy the comp! 🚨ALSO!!! You can tune in to the livestream all weekend long at xgames.com/howtowatch 🚨
Dear X games, dear Viacom, perhaps these judges just don’t care about cleanliness on tricks as much many other snowboarders do, perhaps they’re just not very good judges but this is one of those years where I remember that Viacom is corrupt because they are led by people who love money more than human beings, and this is an assessment that all wise people make based on the money your executives take while some people who work for you make just enough. Anyone who loves snowboarding realizes that Ayumu’s run was cleaner, and his tricks were more technical, he should’ve won that competition. Scotty is rad, but it seems like one of his sponsors paid you to do this. He was a bit sketchy and there’s no way he should have gotten a 96. Really appreciate you putting this competition on, and I bless you in the name of the Lord Jesus for what you guys do. I would urge you to be careful not to take bribes to do anything shady, and just let the people compete without any intervention. I also urge you to just be genuine so that this competition might last well into the ages. Peace to you all
I disagree that the tricks were more technical - personally I thought Scotty rode with a lot more style, power, and amplitude overall, as well as a stronger bag of tricks. Ayumu ended on a bit of a sketchy landing as well which threw his balance. His run was extremely clean though
Been following a lot of new crypto projects, but Adaxum seems like the one with a clear vision and real utility. Definitely adding some to my portfolio.
I think this may be one of the few sports where traditional camera angles are better than the drone shots.
Agreed
Drones are annoying
Agreed. Drone angle was terrible for this.
Yes the drone shots were horrible
Did the drone mess up 2nd place (guy in the maroon) on his last hit? The “beautiful shot” seemed to be a little too close. Ridiculous.

Bro he did the first triple cork. Just because more spin doesn’t mean more difficult. Scotty deserves it

I’m pretty sure Ayumu did the first 🤗

That gold Medal run was ridiculous
After that run, I must agree with the announcer I just moved onto the award ceremony
Why did you adopt FIS' dumbass habit of showing 1st followed by 3rd and then 2nd? If you're going to show podium runs, do it from 3rd to 1st.
Yeah I'm not a fan of that at all. It makes no sense
Oh... here I was thinking they were just showing them in the order the runs were completed lol
It's just in chronological order.
X GAMES 2025 LES GOOOOOO
That was so awesome!?!... ❤ I love the top 3 - perfect! 😂

Why didn’t Ayumu & Yuto throw a triple ? They have it in their bag, they would have won…
It was a good day for dad.
Love love love ❤️
PLEASE X Games - lose the drone angle. It's not an insightful angle and makes the viewer dizzy!
I cant do this in game Shredders. Unbelieveble, they are like controlled with gamepad
