Can you possibly find a more boring announcer??!! Hirano is throwing down one of the best runs in history and dude is like, “that run may challenge the podium.” Borderline ruins the entire experience of watching as a casual snowboarding/winter sports fan.
Edited to add: I realize snowboarders are judging these events; but they’re using criteria set forth by skiers and the FIS to do so. It’s lame as fuck. It’s really too bad that the FIS (Federation International of Skiers) is the judging body who oversees competitive snowboarding. It’s turned the thing we love into Gymnastiboarding, or Aerial Skiing in a halfpipe. Too many flips and spins. Not a lot of style, but this is what happens when you let skiers decide what is and isn’t worth points. In the end, “Terje was right”. 🖕🏼 Never trust a skier to judge style.

@@ダダヨニ いやぁこの気持ちはわかるかな。それぞれのライダーのスタイルのかっこよさは回転数とは別の評価軸として存在するはずなのに、点数として評価されるのが回転数なので、みんな回転技ばかりになって、ライダーの個性やかっこよさが失われてる気がするのは残念に思う。"採点競技"なので回転数みたいな基準は採点が明確になりやすいから仕方ない流れだとは思うけど。日本人が勝ったからとかではなく、スノーボードってもっと自由な個性がかっこいいのに、みんな回転技ばかりになってフィギュアスケートみたいになってるのがつまらないって事じゃないかな。
