Well this episode started out a little frustrating but ended up pretty epic with that blacked out Ohlins rear shock. It really cleans up the look of the bike and man does it improve the ride quality as well. Crazy how much difference that blacked out spring makes! That thing looks sexy as hell.
The drag bars look good but they won't be comfortable with forward controls/foot pegs on a long cruise.

I love this bike. I had a 2016 and i want another one. I only had the exhaust on mines and it made ALL the difference. I can only imagine what the wheels and new shock does for the ride. The crazy thing about that bike is, i bought it because i wanted a cruiser and didn't want a Harley like everyone else. I thought I'd just cruise around leisurely but i rode that bike more aggressively than my old crotch rocket. Most of that time i just loved listening to it with that exhaust. The videos don't do the sound of that exhaust justice whatsoever. That bike is AMAZING, fast as fuck, sounds AWESOME, handles and stops supremely... UGHHHH!!!😫I LOVE THAT BIKE!!!! Based on how I rode my bike, I get why you'd want to change the bars.
haha YEP you are exactly right man! Not many people realize how amazing this bike is which is why I wanted to do the series. I would take one of these for my personal bike over a sport bike any day, they are that fun to ride.
Only thing keeping that bike from keeping up with 1000cc bikes is the wind that tries to pull you off of it over 150mph. Yet you can still cruise on it with your feet forward... That bike is da shit foreal.

Your Ducati Xdiavel looks fantastic with put on new Shock absorber. I love the Silver and black combination.

I tried to put those exact drag bars on mine a couple months back and was equally frustrated. Good luck finding some that will fit without modification! If you're coming to COTA you'll be able to see mine. It's the first XDiavel S on the planet to get a Samco hose kit. My bike was the fit test bike.

Hey Jaret. Considering the ohlins rear for my XD. The stock shock is ok but in nyc street feel every little bump in my lower back, don’t soak up those jolts really. Is the ohlins a must or a nice to have?

they actually felt great when I sat on the bike testing them out...I think we are going to use them along with another set of stock xdiavel bars and build a custom set of our own

I had those bars on my monster 1200s and you’re right that it helps you control the bike in the turns better

Personally I would change the headlight but i guess thats a personal thing. Liking the progress and the changes.
I actually think the headlight suits the "techno cruiser" look quite well so I'm just gonna add some carbon around the outside and I think it will look great :)

Hey Jaret I’m a huge fan of your custom ideas. I saw your Panigale series and it was indeed bloody brilliant. I know you are huge on “carbon fiber” and it’s anybody’s guess as to why. The fact that you shaved off a neat 30 lbs (by swapping those wheels) notwithstanding; aesthetics-wise I reckon things have gone south and by south I mean all the way to the Antarctic. My apologies Bloke that’s purely my personal opinion on just that rear wheel and I got to admit that everything else is blinding amazing thus far. I own an X-Diavel S and truth be told... that glorious rear wheel is what got me smitten. That rear wheel is to the X-Diavel what that derrière means to Kim Kardashian and to me it was love at first sight. The carbon rear wheels that you have on this x-Diavel is quite unremarkable as compared to the original design and I am saying that from a purely design standpoint. I just wanted to know if you would be kind enough to help me by providing the contact details of any folks that you might be aware who would be able to do a replica of the original wheel BUT in ”carbon fiber”. I also ordered and bought from Ducati the backward iteration of the handlebar; but it didn’t go as far backwards as I wanted it to go. Do you know any folks who would do Custom handlebars for the x-Diavel. I want it further backwards. I’ll be in California (Moorpark to be precise) for a month in August this year and I would hugely appreciate any help in the interregnum. Thanks in advance for your input. 🙏
Sundeep Haridas they don’t make carbon wheels that look like the stock wheels unfortunately. There are much more limitations on carbon designs since it’s such a light material.

What about dropping the existing bars like the guy on the Monster?
Yeah I thought about that BUT they just have too much of a rise so if you drop them or flip them over they are a bit too extreme.

I hope the straight bars don't make you stretch too much when finally fitted, and you've got to fit an Austin Racing system to one of your next builds, Termis and Akras are great but Austin Racing systems take it to another level - It's a small business compared to the others but it's worth the wait because Rich Austin is a genius.
haha yeah I've always loved the sound of those but often times they don't come with an upmap to tune the motorcycle and I don't like using a power commander as much as flashing the ECU thats why I haven't used one of their systems yet.
Arrr gutted about the bars, that’s what I’ve been waiting for, but had a feeling that’d be the case as I’ve messaged rizoma & they couldn’t confirm that they’d fit the X....was also concerned about tank clearance on lock, but the rizomas are well clear...have you tried LSL bars on Luis-Moto website??? Shock looks great 👍
Yes i have tried the LSL website but couldn't figure out if those would work either...Trevor said he can build us a custom set so we'll give that a shot in the next episode and see how it goes.

The stock bars look way better with that swept back look and are more functional and more comfortable. I would leave them be.
We will try the drag bars and see how they feel...if they are too uncomfortable then we'll go back to the stock bars

Jared you make good content and is fun the watch you but in the future choose affordable motorcycles the tune because not every one can win or buy that kind of motorcycles you make, maybe you can do a cheaper bike next time under the 14k ?
Like a 600cc super sport or a cheaper naked one.
Well to be honest, the entire point of my series was to give people a chance to win DREAM motorcycles that they probably couldn't afford otherwise for a small donation amount ($20 etc). So doing cheaper bikes kind of goes against the entire reason I started this series.
