You are so sweet. I just wanted to tell you that. I really enjoy your videos. And today at the end of the video when you were talking about seasons of life and sometimes you have to make adjustments and get the pre packed snacks it sort of hit home. I had just picked up some prepacked snacks for my granddaughter that are the “healthiest” option but still not perfect and had a little bit of unsettledness about it. So it was encouraging to hear you say that. Thank you for sharing what the Lord has been working in your own life.

We rip apart the feeze pops after they are frozen. Much easier and we lay them flat during first freezing process. Spreads it evenly and then comes apart so easy.

Those popsicles are awesome. More costly in Canada though. 10 of them are $7.
I wait until they're frozen before pulling apart. It's easier and if you accidentally open one, it doesn't spill on you.

I do something similar with the yogurt cups! I add a tablespoon of PBFit powder to it and stir it up, then I use it as a fruit dip for apple slices. Sooooooo good!

I've been following you for awhile and I wanted you to know that you inspire me so much! Not only to organize and cook more methodically, but also to be a better human in general and not to beat myself up when things don't go as planned. I have just entered my 60's and I can tell you that we are never to old to learn from others. Thank you so much for your comments today regarding the ebb and flow of life. It's so true that sometimes we just need to step back and reevaluate and start over another day. Keep making videos! I'll keep watching!

That was a wonderful discussion about everyone has their seasons and we need to allow certain things because lord knows I judge myself a lot.

hey Adaline, I really liked the video and yes, I noticed that you upload videos more often, which makes me really happy. I had to smile a little when you spoke about the critical viewers and I agree with you to some extent. I notice that I react like this when I get the impression that the portrayal of the lifestyle is not authentic. When the content is pretended to be. You did a wonderful job when you talked about why you are currently using foods that you have often made yourself. Really good and completely understandable! Greetings from Germany 👋🏻

We don't have a Costco membership, but do have a Sam's Club. Great prices inside the store & at the gas pump.

I really needed to hear you say those words of wisdom of being humbled and moving on.. I strive for perfection on a lot of things as well and stuff has not been going as planned.. Moving on would be the solution for now! Thank you!

I'm new here. Thanks for the encouragement at the end. I'm in one of those seasons, my kids are 3.5, 2, and 7 months. I do my best to give my kids as healthy as possible stuff but right now it's moderation for us. I they to do a mix of home made and convenience items. I get down on myself when we have a stretch of not the healthiest stuff but I know eventually we will get there. Those freezer pops are so good btw my kids really enjoy them.

Throw the thicker asparagus on the grill with olive oil, salt and pepper - it tastes amazing and holds up to the heat

Gallon bags at Amazon are less expensive and you get 90 for $20 however quality isn’t as good as ziplock and they seem smaller

Something I’ve found very helpful and is my preferred way to shop and meal plan if I’m able to get it done before hand is the day before going shopping especially for a big haul or for the main items for a couple weeks or month is to first go through my pantry, cabinets, fridge, freezer, deep freezer, anywhere food is stored and check the dates and make sure everything is good and toss what isn’t. As you’re going through your items make a food inventory sheet listing what you have in your kitchen and no you don’t have to list every single thing but mainly items for dishes like elbow macaroni, angel hair pasta, cream of mushroom , etc and take note of items in the fridge especially that need to be used up like lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, feta cheese etc and then when you get to the store and are seeing what’s on sale and everything you can use both to help guide you like if ground beef is on sale this week then maybe do tacos or a taco salad to use those Vegs or grab some chicken to make grilled chicken salads etc. personally we have a few regular grocery stores here and no bulk places like Costco so I like to go to the store websites and look at their weekly ad with sales and coupons that match both digital and paper. Also another tip is I usually try to use all the item or items I can up when meal planning for example we like to dice and put green pepper in our spaghetti but I don’t usually use an entire green pepper so depending on its size I will use halfish in the spaghetti and other half in meat loaf so I will plan on cooking them both the same week and I know most people probably use more then us with the peppers but I was just using an example to show using ingredients in multiple dishes for the week to help use it up and reduce waste and save money !

what helps me keep track of my groceries and pantry is to put my latest grocery receipts or alternatively a list of what I purchased on the fridge so I know when I bought it and that I need to use it up
